why is River Cartwright the most relatable fictional character ever made. the combination of utter self hatred and unbelievable arrogance is wonderful. he's so pathetic I love him so much.

He’s terrified of cops. “Who hasn’t had gay thoughts.” He’s played by Adam Scott. He has a rollerskating kink. He writes Star Trek slashfic. He loves calzones. His knee jerk, subconscious reaction to someone calling Leslie a bitch was to punch him in the face. He buckled in his briefcase. Even he’s dancing. He named his calculator. He thought the idea of Leslie being a dictator was hot. He makes claymation. He’s like a milf. He made a board game. He’s a human disaster.

no but river cartwright really is character of all time. to me. his whole thing is he was so good at tracking the second-in-command of mi5 that he saw something he shouldn't have and she completely ruined his career as a result. he's also somehow mistakenly called in two separate bomb threats. he has no hesitations getting beat up for several hours by the head of mi5 enforcement but also his one (1) major undercover op was going to a family's dinner and acting normal and he completely failed. he goes to france and immediately apologizes for being british. he's anti-slutshaming. his dad's an ex-CIA cultist. did i mention his undercover disguise was a pair of glasses and a light blue shirt. a girl literally took him aside and asked him why he was being so fucking weird.
