I love how the golden sunlight colours the green grass, while even though it’s still Winter, gentle warmth radiates onto the slowly awakening earth 🌱🧚🏻‍♀️🌾

I feel as if I am in constant Winter;

frozen to the core, limbs growing heavy and cold,

as if deaf to their own sensation;

numbness taking my hand, like a friend or foe that is old

I stare into the dark void of night;

it’s merciless chilled air woefully whispering to me,

A whirlwind of voices that bring fright;

Succumbing to it - as I scream but hear no sound

Feeling as if I’m drowning in the abyss;

lost forever in the endless sea of sorrowful souls,

Yet then a dim light averts my gaze as a door opens;

They call to me, fibers in my being start to awaken,

Yet there comes no sound, no steps in the snow;

body still frozen cold, being hold by Winter,

Aching to walk inside, I show them a sad smile;

As Winter feels like home, a veiled unsafety I know.

Spirits dwell through mist and time,

yet they themselves are timeless and unbound;

a form of life that many deem lifeless;

I often ponder to paint the skies, yet I still have to find the courage to pick up the oils, brushes and canvas to do so.. 🌱🖼️🧚🏻🌿

Beautiful captivating skies - reminding me of those above meadows - shades of burnt orange, soft blue, yellow ocher and bright yellow, to be seen above the streets of Amsterdam

How I always long to walk here, the meadows closeby, to catch a glimps of what feels like being in a painting or a book -
