That’s not the actual danger.

They’re actively taking off lesbian mothers’ names off their children’s birth certificates because only “biological parents” should be on it.

That makes them powerless. Example: her partner dies, she can’t see or have any say in what happens to their child etc. they’re in a limbo, they are barely seen as citizen.

Mind you: most ppl who actually get a surrogate are heterosexual couples, with gay (male) couples right after.

Fun fact: they’re not doing that for gay men or hetero couples. They are actively going against lesbians first (but of course framing the poor gay men as the first victims, as always, even putting in first line a very famous VERY RICH gay singer who literally lives in another country in the first place. Truly something 🙃).

Of course, gay men and their shit organizations are the only ones who can have a say in anything about gay rights&shit because lesbian organizations are shut off and demonized by them (the lesbian orgs are radical feminists), so of course the only thing you hear from this is mostly gay men whining and crying they can’t take advantage of women anymore and most don’t even care about lesbians (or, well, SSA women just to be specific idk) ACTUALLY losing their children. So I get it, in a way. But Italian ‘gay families’ are, in fact, in danger. Not for banning surrogacy in on itself though, but that’s the real goal of the far-right. Not women’s rights. Many (mainly, again, gay men) are also pushing this “noooo it’s homophobic” narrative so it’s impossible to actually talk critically of surrogacy without being seen as supporters of the far-right.
