These images are related to my final project for one of my classes. The project was to design a character and scene based on a fairy tale in a different culture and time period. In this case, the Brother’s Grimm story, “The Crystal Ball”, set in the Meiji Era of Japan.

Scrapped cartoon portraits, I felt like these lacked personality opposed to the one I actually submitted.

Fun fact: The weird coloration you see on the potato is actually an oil stain... I don’t remember where it came from but I liked what it resembled.
