One of my favorite Renaissance male portraits by the artist known as Parmigianino (1503-1540). The portrait depicts Pier Maria Rossi, Count of San Secondo. It's dated to 1535-1538 and is in the collection of the Museo del Prado in Madrid. Note the codpiece emphasizing the gentleman's ever erect masculinity.
