B - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind

I think there were a lot of those when I was in my Genshin phase. Like Kavetham was always that case where I didn’t vibe with their canon interactions, but there are some cool fics because they’d have more angles than just constant bickering, which annoys me because Al-haitham‘s just a dick. He has an idle animation where he plays with Kaveh‘s keys that he stole iirc. Strangely enough, I usually like the more stoic characters more (case in point: Albedo is one of my favorite characters ever to this day), but Al-haitham pisses me of so much, and Kaveh legit just tries his best. The fics are better.

G - Do you remember your first OTP, if so who was in it (darklink)

Omg okay, so I was an avid Vidow shipper in the Four Swords fandom, right? That wasn‘t actually my first OTP, but it was pretty much an evolved version of it, because my FIRST OTP? Was Darklink. From Oot/MM. Because. Idk, selfcest is interesting and this was the only way I‘d get any backstory from Dark Link, even if it was only headcanons. This was before I even picked up fanart as a hobby, I think, way before I got any social media. I foraged into fanfiction.net for fics on them, and there were some good ones, too. Haven‘t actually looked into the Ao3 tag in a while, though, maybe it‘s time again

Z - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go

There‘s a new editing trend on youtube, where you turn movie characters/video game characters/irl photography into a video game menu or loading screen or what have you. And I think it‘s the coolest thing I‘ve ever seen. The first example I saw was from the OFFICIAL Reverse: 1999 channel, and oh my god. I can‘t edit, but I SO will draw this. Still thinking about what character with, but I‘m thinking maybe Zoe or Marika. Wanna do more with my OCs. Might even try to animate it a little.

X - 3 OTPs from 3 different fandoms

Is it cheating if I name a canon x oc ship? Anyway, it‘s Akiko x Usugumo from Rise of the Ronin, and Akiko very much is the blade twin, war-fueling, obsession with keeping her purpose as an assassin and all. But also, Usugumo, as a courtesan, wants independence and insurance that she won‘t be abandoned when she grows older and less attractive, right, and I think as much as she‘d be averse to Akiko‘s more violent tendencies, she‘d admire said independence. Akiko has been acting in nobody‘s but her own interests since she was left on Perry‘s ship! I think her fixation on her purpose as an assassin isn’t actually genuine and moreso something she needs to actually keep going after being brainwashed into being emotionally fused with anther child in the same situation (war orphans being kidnapped to become child soldiers). And Akiko might be able to relate to Usugumo‘s more daily duties, as acting and espionage and such were part of her own repertoire when she was still within the Veiled Edges (because Yasu did NOT know how to do people things) and already before in her family because of internal politics, and that gives her the knowledge to dismiss Usugumo‘s modus operandi entirely and respond to what she actually might mean instead. I can see them hanging out with Usugumo‘s cats, and Akiko might give her a weapon to not be completely harmless and probably would get a reputation for visiting a courtesan as a woman so often, and Usugumo might come to rely on her as one of the few genuine relations she has, even if it‘s not the most friendly. They would make each other worse AND better.

So, I‘m gonna need some trust on this one because it‘s OC x OC, right? Basically, it‘s Zoe x the Ideal, and their deal is: Zoe is someone who has a magical disease of sorts, which has her body change according to her wishes, and because she wishes on one hand to not be affected by anything as to avoid any harm, but she also wishes to actually live and experience emotions just like other people do, which requires feeling things and stuff, she eventually ends up as a statue with fleshy insides (I like to think that her heart and ribcage are exposed because of metaphors. She was originally a vent about my autism, so.). And at some point she creates a sculpture of her ideal self (think Pygmalion and Galatea), which comes alive SOMEHOW and is promptly horrified at pretty much everything. Cue the toxic yuri. Like this is literally me shipping an aspect of myself that I still try to grapple with with who I wish I were. Which I think is very cool of me. Also I don‘t think I have any of their lore posted anywhere except this post, so. Yay, first lore pieces on them.

Surprisingly difficult to find a third romantic ship, but I‘m very fond of Ram x Shamura of Cult of the Lamb. Like that‘s a fun dynamic. Or whatever the Ram‘s world‘s equivalent of Narinder is.

Last one was very short, so I‘ll add a favorite gen ship of mine: Shadow Link & Ganondorf. Is it wholesome?? No, and I would never want it to be. This is a hot mess of a pair and I love it. (There are actually very nice fics where they are legit just a functional father-son pair, and I love them, but I need my dead doves, too.)

C - A pairing you have never liked and probably never will

Tbh, I really loathe any ships with Red Link in them, and I have no idea why. He already annoys me a bit because he‘s just that kind of character, but I‘ve yet to read a fic where I find him actually interesting AND in a ship. A good fic will get me to ship anything. But alas, I don‘t care for him. And I even found a way to make BLUE interesting for myself. (Which Elixiers, Remedies and Redemption actually helped with, so uhh shout out to that fic)

M - Your favorite fanart or fanartist

Okay, so. This one is a leap: spoiledmilks. Because it‘s not so much about the fandom that they draw for, but mainly what they usually draw, which is horses. So many horses. They‘re so cute. I believe I found their blog when I stumbled over it in the Star Stable tag? Used to play Star Stable back when it came out, so I got curious after some drama and wanted to see what the current fandom state is. And behold: horses.

F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom

Probably either Four Swords or Genshin Impact, though I‘m not sure if the latter counts because I never really engaged with the fandom. Very… chaotic. I still follow tags for some of my favorite characters, like Albedo and Tighnari. And with Four Swords, I had those AUs that I made multiple masterposts for lore etc. for. The dedication alone kept me running for a long time. Couldn’t estimate for how long I was in either fandom, though

I am begging the UK trans community and its allies to attend the Mass Lobby at Parliament on June 25th, 11am-4pm, organised by Trans Solidarity Alliance.

The new EHRC Code of Practice pushes trans people out of toilets, hospital wards, and community spaces. It normalises gender policing based on appearance and stereotypes. It becomes statutory guidance in the UK by the end of June.

Trans people are now legally their assigned gender at birth and must join gendered spaces accordingly, but if they are perceived as their lived gender, they can also be ejected from those spaces. The guidance says: either break the law, or don’t pass too well.

A mass lobby is where you invite your MP to discuss your concerns with you in-person. Ask your MP to:

Demand full parliamentary scrutiny, debate, and use their free vote on the EHRC Code of Practice.

Support any motions rejecting the EHRC guidance. As of June 4th, Labour MP Nadia Whittome has submitted a prayer motion - Early Day Motion 240.

Write to Bridget Phillipson, the Minister for Women and Equalities about our concerns

Your MP does not have to be an ally, they do not have to respond to your email for you to show up and greencard them (details below the cut.) What matters is that as many people as possible show up.

I cannot stress this enough: Showing up in person matters. It is much more effective than petitions, emails, and letters.

It is a horrible, stressful time, and I am so sorry if you're trans and live in the UK. But I was at last year's mass lobby and the line for greencarding alone stretched around the back gates. It was a record breaking mass lobby and made us impossible to ignore. Let's do even better this time. Details under the cut:

I'm not going to be able to go, but I do have some experience with lobbying my various MPs over the years, so here's some quick advice off the top of my head:

If you're resident in the UK but not a citizen you still have the right to go to Parliament and be seen by your MP.

If you don't know who your MP is you can look it up by putting your postcode into the Find My MP page on Parliament's website (pro tip if you are a uni student, check your MP for both your family home and your uni, one may be a better option for lobbying than the other, you may even be able to Green Card both of them, but I don't know if that's possible, ask on the desk when you ask for the card).

And everyone needs to remember that while officially you're not required to show photo ID to get into Parliament the official guidance from the House of Commons is "you don't need photo ID to get in but we suggest you bring it anyway" (which is just unhelpful)

You will also be required to pass through airport style security which obviously may be a stressful experience for some of the people taking part in the mass lobby. That can take anywhere up to half an hour, the staff are usually pretty nice, but the entry into the security check is a sloped metal ramp with zero shade and nowhere to lean or sit so plan accordingly.

If your MP is not in the building to come and meet you they are required to respond to your Green Card as soon as possible via the contact details you put on your Green Card. While meeting them in person is the ideal you will get a response so it will be worth it even if your MP is unavailable.

People in general, are more likely to take you seriously and want to help you if you are nice and polite to them.

They may not be in parliament. They may be their London offices which are located a 5-minute walk away in the Portcullis House.

“Huh?” he heard Romeo ask.  The blonde haired puppet turned around and P noticed the way his green eyes blew wide for a fraction of a second before he replied.  “Oh.  No.  Your nose isn’t crying, it’s just running.”

“Running where?” P is confused.  His nose doesn’t have legs to run with.

“It’s a saying.  Means your nose is leaking snot.” Romeo continued.  P watches as he reaches into his pocket and removes a handkerchief.  Idly, P wonders what Romeo keeps it around for; he’s a puppet, so clearly his nose isn’t going to start leaking anything any time soon.  Perhaps it was just out of habit from living a prior life as a human.

The next thing P knows, Romeo is cupping one side of his face in a cool hand, one that he leans into gratefully, and there’s a handkerchief pressed to his nose.  Romeo commands him to blow and, after a short explanation, P gets the hang of it and does as he’s told.  The handkerchief is then passed to P, who stuffs it into his pocket and sniffles.

“Better?”

P nods in that jerky, uncoordinated way of his.  But a moment later, his nose starts running once more.  

“You’re running a fever.” Romeo informs him after pressing the back of one hand to his forehead.  “You might be getting sick.  Poor thing…”

Instantly, P freezes up.

“No, no!” Romeo quickly corrects.  “Not like that.  Sick with a cold, not with the Petrification Disease.”

“Oh.” P breathes out a sigh and gives Romeo a half smile which quickly fades.  “I have never been sick before.”

Romeo goes back to cradling his face in his hands, wiping his hair from his eyes and brushing his thumbs over his burning cheeks.  His freckles barely stand out right now with how flushed his face has become with fever.  “I’ll take care of you.”
