if it isn't dick having his total rebellion phase, it's jason and his tensions with bruce and tim post-utrh. if it isn't that it's tim and his conflicts with well. everyone depending when you look. or damian struggling to see any of them as family. or not wanting to. or bruce just being straight up absent. or alfred's death. or steph's fakeout. or babs' paralysis. or the petty argument two of them had over breakfast this morning that has everyone on their toes for the forseeable future. do u get the point

to see them have so much power in the comics and to have them so brutally lost that in the canon since the 2010s is so sad and legitimately painful. and it’s all the more frustrating to see this same ineptitude and absence reproduced by fans who claim to be making a “better version of canon” with them always still missing!! it um. sucks ass, for uh. lack of a better term…
