3 months post-partum and I'm just like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!?!?! I've hit a stage where my toddler isn't trying to eat every single rock on the ground and is developing her personality every day and evolving at lightspeed, like she just learned about monarchs and we are in the yard chasing butterflies with her arms outstretched going "oooo, ooo, ooo, look!" (How fucking cool is that?) and my newborn is sleeping longer than 3 hours at night per feed, but also strong as hell in movement and spatial awareness, and also so very fragile and beautiful. It's amazing to sleep a 5 hour stretch here and there. It's amazing to watch my body and brain do capable things while running on empty. Every day I feel such a range of emotions, but I see myself clearly, with patience, with grace, with alot of anger, with alot of love. It all feels like I am making friends again with the little girl inside of me and having deeply frustrating and healing realizations as I move forward in my own existence. More importantly, I've stopped giving a fuck and really have settled into loving my weird brain, my weird beauty and embraced it. I think having kids can change you at the cell level and create this truly wild awakening. It's such feral, deep down to Earth experience. Fuck it man, let's get after this life. GO women, go mommas, go ME.
