IBFY Biscuit - A Day In The Life of Owner Noona
To celebrate itās been a months her is a little short treat for our readers, enjoy ;)
Yerin looked at the businessman again, wondering how a man that was clearly making a lot of money could be so idiotic. He just kept standing there, looking at her like she was supposed to do something.
āWas there anything else?ā Yerin asked with narrowed eyes, feeling the annoyance bubble up inside of her. She really wasnāt in the mood for anything but her damn job. She had been making far too much iced coffee to be in the mood for anything but yelling.
āYouāre really pretty,ā the man smiled like a dog that had just done a trick and expected a treat. Yerin really wasnāt in the mood for this.
āI know, now fuck off youāre holding up the line,ā she huffed, secretly relishing in the manās shocked expression. She never understood why some people thought complimenting her looks made them special. Yerin knew she was pretty, that really wasnāt a fact worth stating since it was glaringly obvious.
āWelcome. Order, please,ā Yerin huffed eyes falling on the next customer who looked her with a frown. Apparently, it was one of those days where she just wanted to kill everybody.
āOrder or move,ā she snapped feeling the last threads of patience escape her. Some days she wished her passion wasnāt making coffee but something that would have allowed her to escape these mindless idiots. If it wasnāt for her regulars Yerin was pretty sure she would have given up on this adventure completely. Well, the fact that Seokjin would never stop teasing her about giving up was also a factor. Minor, but still enough to go pour more ice and make even more sad diluted coffees. At least nobody had asked for a Frappuccino yet.
The day continued as usual, morons walked in and then left caffeinated. A few actually wanted proper coffee which saved some of Yerinās patience. There was nothing wrong with lattes and milky coffee but she really had to put her foot down when people wanted six different syrups and coffee that didnāt taste like coffee at all.
Only Grumpy got to drink milkshakes in her shop.
It was afternoon when Yerin looked up and saw them through the huge glass windows. She could feel a smile tug at her lips when she saw Cutie and Hyper make their way slowly towards the door, Cutie looking like he was about 99 percent done with everything. Hyper was holding onto Cutie, clearly guiding him like the younger was an invalid or too fragile.
Yerin couldnāt help but feel proud when Cutie stopped, turning to snap at Hyper who just looked like a puppy. It was a good thing that Cutie didnāt just take the Hyperās overprotective tendencies but fought back a little. Hyper really need to learn that Cutie was a damsel in distress. Yerin could only be surprised that no one had realized that Cutie was the strongest of them.
āSad face,ā she yelled at her helper who looked up from where he was re-stocking new cups, his sad eyes settling on her with a frown. āTake this,ā she said pointing at the confused man halfway through his order. Sad Face looked at her and then at the couple outside and nodded in understanding. Yerin had few favorites among her customers and none of them got more than a smile in terms of special treatment, but she always made their coffee. Those seven were hers, and no one else was allowed to take their orders except her.
After all, if they were special to Seokjin, they were special to her.
āSure, Boss,ā Sad Face replied, slipping in and taking the bewildered manās order as Yerin began on the espressos. For Cutie and Hyper she only used the best of her beans. She couldnāt help but be more attentive and she measured out the syrup, sweetening the drink just like she knew her friends liked it. After the espresso, she poured in the perfectly steamed milk, turning around just as Hyper and Cutie stepped up to the counter.
Something settled in Yerinās chest as she saw cutieās flushed cheeks and bright smile. It was the first time he was back in the cafĆ© after the day he had collapsed. To be honest she hadnāt thought she would ever see either of them here again, both of them smiling and happy. The way Cutie had looked, lifeless in a puddle of pink petals and blood splatters still haunted her dreams. She wasnāt a romantic sap like Seokjin, but she liked it when the universe got things right.
Hyperās arm was around Cutieās shoulder ā no doubt a compromise to stop him from treating Cutie like he would collapse any moment ā and Yerin had to fight the smile at how both of their eyes widened as she placed the two vanilla lattes in front of them.
āFirst drink is on the house, and welcome back both of you,ā Yerin said, winking at both of them, finally allowing herself to smile before she disappeared into the back.
Yeah, things would be better now Cutie was back.
