1: The Fire we Ignited
In your family, melody wasn't just an art form,it was a law. Your father was a legendary classical music maestro, respected across the country. Growing up as the only daughter of your parents, you were expected to be his ultimate legacy. He spent years passing down every intricate note, every complex vocal scale, and every bit of strict discipline to you. But being the eldest among a chaotic army of cousins, younger brothers, and sisters meant you also carried the weight of setting a perfect example. In a household where forty people lived under one roof, your family's musical reputation was everything. But right now, you didn't care about setting an example. You wanted to burn the house down.
"I am not giving him my room!" Your shouted as you glared at the two girls standing in front of you. Lily and Daisy, your family's house maids, jumped back in terror.
"Y/n, please, lower your voice," Lily whispered looking over her shoulder toward your father's private study. "Your dad is already furious. The landline hasn't stopped ringing all morning. The boy from London, his flight just landed."
"I don't care if his plane crashes," you snapped, "There are twelve empty guest rooms. Why am I being evicted from my own room?"
"Because he isn't just a guest," Daisy murmured softly, "He’s coming here to learn. Your father said he demands the absolute best, and everyone knows your room is the grandest, most beautiful in the entire mansion." Your father ruled this family estate like a 19th-century dictator. In his world, your obedience was a currency, and your personal freedom didn't exist. "He wants my room?" you whispered, a dangerous smile slowly spreading across your lips "Fine. Let him have it."
Lily and Daisy exchanged a terrified look. They knew that look on your face. It meant ruin."what are you going to do?" Lily asked, her voice trembling
The next morning, Your whole family standing at inner courtyard. You stood hidden on the second floor balcony, looking down. Then, the heavy iron gates swung open , out of a taxi stepped Jeon Jungkook. He was a complete cultural shock by the traditional estate. He wore an oversized black leather jacket over a plain white t-shirt, loose fitting blue jeans, and thick soled boots. A heavy black guitar case was slung over his back, and a pair of dark two sitcase in hand, sunglasses hid his eyes. Jungkook took off his sunglasses, his jaw dropping as he looked around the mansion.
"Blimey," he muttered under his breath, "This place is massive." As he took a step forward, a loud, deep bleat echoed through the courtyard. Jungkook spun around, his eyes widening in absolute shock as he came face to face with a massive cow and a couple of goats tied near the stables. He stumbled back, completely caught off guard .
"Whoa! Hold on a minute!" Jungkook gasped, taking another blind step backward to avoid the cow. Splash! A massive wave of water erupted into the air. Jungkook had stepped straight over the central courtyard fountain. He went under for a split second before popping back up, completely drenched.
The courtyard instantly exploded into a roar of uncontrollable laughter. Your younger brothers and cousins pointed and giggle. Upstairs smirk spread across your face. He hadn't even reached your bedroom yet, and he was already a walking disaster.
"Oh, dear boy! Are you alright?" Your favorite uncle, Uncle Jack, rushed forward, chuckling as he extended a hand to pull a dripping, sputtering Jungkook out of the fountain pool. "I'm fine, completely fine, cheers uncle," Jungkook laughed, entirely unbothered by the embarrassment.
Your father and mother stepped forward to officially welcome him. While your father looked him in a disbelief, Before your father could speak, your two loudest aunts Aunt Mary and Aunt Rose pushed past the elders and reach him.
"Oh my, look at him! A bit wet, but he looks like a literal prince from a magazine!" Aunt Mary gushed, boldly reaching out to pinch his damp cheek. "Do all the boys in London look this handsome, or are we just lucky?"
Jungkook let out a laugh "Ah, Aunt, I think I'm the lucky one. If I knew the women in this house were this beautiful, I would have jumped into the fountain sooner just to get your attention."
Aunt Rose gasped, slapping his wet shoulder playfully while giggling like a schoolgirl. "Oh, stop it! He has a silver tongue! Come, we must get you some warm tea before you catch a cold."
"That's enough gossip for the morning," your mother interrupted gently, offering a polite smile to the guest before turning to the staff corridor. "Harry! Come here. Take Mr. Jeon's show him up to his room immediately so he can change."
The door of your room open, you didn't look up. You stood by the grand iron stand at the center of the room, calmly striking a match to light a fresh candle. Your two younger sisters, Mia and Chloe, were standing right beside you. The second they saw Jungkook standing in the doorway, their jaws dropped. They giggled behind their hands, shoved the holders into your arms, and rushed out of the room before you could even glare at them.
Jungkook chuckled, leaning against the doorframe as he looked around. "Wow, What a grand room," he said, he stepped inside, dragging his wet boots across the floor. "Hey, hi. Myself Jungkook. You can call me Koo. Your good name?"
"Y/n," you replied coldly. "Beautiful," he smirked, stepping closer. "Can I call you princess?"
"No. Only y/n." You struck another match. This time, as you brought the flame down , you lifted your head. Your eyes locked directly onto his. You kept lighting the candles, one by one, moving the flame blindly from holder to holder, completely refusing to break eye contact. It was a silent challenge a war. Jungkook smiled at your stubbornness. "What's the meaning of your name?"
"It's not necessary for everything to have a meaning," you said, Jungkook tilted his head, his smirk widening as he took another slow step forward. "And it's not necessary to lit each candle looking into my eyes."
"You look away first," you dared him. "No chance," he whispered. "How can I look away when your eyes are holding mine?" Suddenly, he was standing too close. You could see the water droplets still clinging to his eyelashes.
"Your eyes are weird," you murmured, refusing to back down even though your heart was starting to hammer against your ribs.
"How?" he asked, his gaze dropping to your lips for a split second before snapping back up. "It's like a sour lemon," you snapped, Jungkook let out a soft laugh, his chest almost brushing yours. "Wow. So sweet." He glanced down at the burning candle in your steady hand.
"Blink away, y/n. Or the melting wax will burn your skin."
"Let's see who looks away first," you challenged. Jungkook’s eyes darkened with an intense playful gravity. He leaned in just an inch closer, his breath fanning across your cheek. "If you won't look away...you will fall in love with me." The words hit you like a sudden physical shock. Your eyes widened, your eyelids flinching as you automatically blinked realizing how dangerously close you were to him. Without saying a single word, you blew out the match, spun on your heel, and practically sprinted out of the room, leaving Jungkook standing alone.
The next morning, as you walked toward your new room, you spotted a group of your cousin sisters gathered by the balcony railing, whispering and giggling. You walked over and looked down into the courtyard. Your jaw dropped, down below, completely ignoring the weather there was Jungkook . He had clearly just taken a shower, he was wearing nothing but a large white towel wrapped securely around his waist. He had headphone he was completely lost in the music, doing a chaotic, high energy dance right in front of the cows.
You felt a rush of heat fly to your cheeks. "Girls! Bad manners!" you snapped, clapping your hands to break your cousins'. "Go back to your rooms, now!" The girls giggled loudly, teasing you with their eyes, before scrambling down the hall. You followed them as they piled straight into Grandma’s room.
Five of your cousin sisters, you, and Grandma all sat together Grandma, whose eyes had grown completely blind with age, smiled warmly "What is all this whispering about?" Grandma asked.
"Grandma, it's the new guest from London!" one of your cousins chimed in excitedly. "He’s down there dancing in a towel!" Grandma chuckled. "Oh? And how does this foreign boy look?"
"Sharp jaw , muscular body with boba eyes and bunny teeth!" your cousin giggled.
"No," you interjected sharply, crossing your arms with a huff. "He’s a maniac. A complete lunatic." The room erupted into a roar of laughter. But before the laughter could even die down, a smooth, deep voice cut through the air from the doorway.
"Oi, why is everyone laughing? Tell me the joke, I'll also laugh!" Everyone froze. You spun around, and your eyes nearly popped out of your head. Jungkook was standing right in the doorway of Grandma's room still in nothing but his waist towel, his shoulders shivering slightly from the cold. "Why are you here like this?!" you shouted, instantly standing up to shield your younger cousins' eyes. "Have you no shame? Go back to your room!"
Jungkook rubbed the back of his neck, giving a helpless, boyish grin. "I would, but I lost my way, haven't I? This house is a proper maze. I can't find my room."
You let out a frustrated groan, marching past him into the corridor. "Come. Follow me." Jungkook walked quickly behind you as you led him down the hallway. You didn't look back once, keeping your pace fast as you scolded him over your shoulder. "This is a respectable house, Jungkook. We have elders, we have rules. You can't just walk around half naked dancing with farm animals! It's freezing outside, and you are acting like a"
In a split second, a firm hand gripped your wrist, pulling you backward. Before you could even gasp, your back hit the cold stone wall with a dull thud. Jungkook stepped closser, his chest almost brushing yours. He planted one hand firmly on the wall right beside your head, effectively pinning you between his arm and his body. He was standing too close. He leaned down slightly, his eyes locking onto yours, completely trapping your gaze just like before.
"Why are you always so angry with me, y/n?" he whispered sending a sudden shiver straight down your spine. Suddenly, his ears twitched sound of heavy shoes clicked against the marble steps. "Someone is coming," Jungkook whispered, he dropped his hand from the wall and stepped back.
Your trembling knees barely held you up, but you forced yourself to move without looking back, you turned and walked quickly toward his room. You stopped right outside the heavy door of his bedroom ,your old bedroom , pointed at it sharply, refusing to look him in the eye. "Get in and change." Jungkook stepped inside, he paused. He turned his head back toward you.
"Thanks, by the way," he murmured softly, he tilted his head, his gaze lingering on your face for a fraction of a second. "And for the record, your eyes are beautiful. Not like mine."
Before you could even process the words, Jungkook slipped into the room and shut the door behind him. You stood frozen.
The mansion was completely dark by midnight, as you walked past the upper balcony, you spotted a familiar silhouette lurking , It was Jungkook. He was peeking anxiously through the cracked door of your father’s private study room, his shoulders tense. You quietly walked toward crossing your arms as you stopped right behind him. "What’s wrong, mister?" you whispered sharply.
Jungkook jumped slightly, spinning around with wide eyes. He let out a nervous laugh, running a hand through his hair. "Blimey, princess, you scared me," he whispered back, he pointed a finger toward the study door. "Your father....he looks terrifying, doesn't he? How am I supposed to go in there and talk to him?"
A mischievous idea instantly sparked in your mind. This was the perfect chance to embarrass him. You put on a perfectly serious, innocent face and leaned closer. "Well, if you want him to like you, you have to follow our traditions. In our culture, when a student meets a legendary master, they must lie down fully on the elder's legs to seek blessings. Go on, do that. He will love it."
Jungkook blinked, looking incredibly confused. "Really? Lie down on his legs? Alright, if you say so..." Trusting your words completely, Jungkook took a deep breath and walked straight into the study. Your father was reading a book. Before your father could even react, Jungkook knelt down and fully laid across your father's legs, gripping his ankles tightly. Your father froze in absolute shock. Within seconds, his face hardened into a scowl.
"What is this nonsense?!" your father thundered, pushing Jungkook back sharply. "What kind of behavior is this? Stand up!" Jungkook scrambled to his feet, his face completely falling in hurt, deeply embarrassed. "I-I'm sorry, sir," he stammered, looking down at his feet. "I thought it was a tradition."
Watching from the door, the smile died on your lips seeing his face look so completely crushed and humiliated made a strange, sudden ache hit your chest. You felt horribly bad for what you did, though you couldn't understand why his sadness mattered to you so much. Your father let out a heavy sigh as he looked at Jungkook's genuinely apologetic face.
"Okay, forget that," your father said, his voice softening slightly. "Are you truly serious about learning our classical music?"Jungkook lifted his head, his dark eyes instantly shining with deep, unyielding passion. "Yes, sir. More than anything. I want to learn the true soul of your music." Your father stared at him for a long moment, testing his sincerity, before giving a firm nod. "Good. Then from tomorrow, your training begins strictly at sharp 6:00 AM. Do not be a single minute late."
Jungkook's eyes lit up with relief. He reached into his pocket, pulling out a sleek leather wallet. "Thank you, sir. Um, can you show me how much I need to pay for the tuition? I can write a check or pay in cash right now." Your father’s expression instantly turned incredibly solemn, his eyes reflecting the deep pride of a true maestro. He fold his hands behind his back.
"My talent and my knowledge are not for sale, Jungkook," your father said, "I do not take money for my art. But... if required, I will ask you for something one day. Not money, but anything else I choose." Jungkook looked surprised, but he nodded respectfully, bowing his head.
"Whatever you ask, sir. It's a promise."
The next morning, the mansion was cold still dark, by 5:45 AM, your father was already perfectly dressed, sitting the harmonium sat before him. You sat a few feet away, as you prepared for your own morning scales. Your father glanced at the clock on the wall. The ticking sound was deafening."It is 5:55 AM," your father stated, "Go wake him up, Y/n. If he is not seated here by the strike of six, his training ends before it even begins."
You stood up quickly, your heart doing a strange flutter. You hurried up the staircase, your mind racing. You couldn't wait to see his face. You pushed his bedroom door open, ready to gloat. Instead, you froze your jaw dropping in absolute horror. The room condition was a complete disaster. It looked like a bomb had gone off. Jungkook’s leather jackets and shirts were thrown everywhere across the floor. The unspooled tape was tangled like a spiderweb around the desk legs and Jungkook? He was completely passed out, tangled in the heavy blankets on the floor.
"Jungkook! Wake up!" you panicked, rushing into the haze. If your father saw this chaos, you would be grounded for a month. You lunged forward, grabbing the edge of his blanket and pulling it hard. "Get up! It's already six!" You didn't realize that Jungkook’s foot was completely wrapped in the tangled as you pulled the blanket, your foot caught on the broken wooden frame of the collapsed bed.Your balance snapped as you fall above him.
Your hands planted firmly against a bare, muscular chest your face hovering mere inches from his. The sudden impact jarred Jungkook awake. His dark eyes flew open, blinking rapidly for a second, he looked completely disoriented. But as his vision cleared and he realized you were lying directly on top of him, a slow, lazy smirk began to cut through his face.
"Well, good morning to you too, princess. Is this another one of your traditional blessings?"
Four months flew beautifully, the girl who swore to make Jungkook’s life a living hell was completely gone. In her place was someone who counted the minutes until 6:00 AM. You and Jungkook had become practically inseparable. You learned music together under your father's strict gaze, your voices slowly learning to blend perfectly during the long morning scale practices. You ate lunch together in the chaotic, crowded dining hall, where Jungkook had expertly learned to navigate the spicy traditional food, making your aunts beam with pride. In the afternoons, when the heat was too intense, you, Jungkook, and your army of cousins would gather in the courtyard to play cards, laugh, and listen to his rock cassette tapes. He wasn't a stranger anymore, he was the very heartbeat of the house.
Today, a quiet, undeniable realization settled into the spaces between you. It happened during a late afternoon game of carrom in the veranda with Lily, Daisy, and your younger brothers. Jungkook sat down opposite you across the wooden board, the background noise completely faded. The gaze he gave you was heavy, soft, and filled with deep affection that made your lungs feel completely empty.
You couldn't deny it anymore, you liked him. You liked him so much it terrified you. Jungkook flicked the striker carelessly, completely missing the coin, his eyes never breaking away from your face. A small smile touched his lips, as if he could read your heart from across the board.
At night ypu were on your terrace , the stone floor was cool against your bare feet as you stood by the carved stone railing, staring up at the endless blanket of stars. Suddenly, a sudden warmth enveloped you. Two strong arms wrapped securely around your waist from behind, pulling your back against a solid chest.
"Ah!" You let out a sharp gasp, you swung your elbow back, hitting his arm hard. "Get off me!"
"Ow! princess, it’s just me!" Jungkook groaned, instantly pulling away and rubbing his forearm with a dramatic wince. "You’ve got a lethal elbow." You spun around, your chest heaving as you glared at him, though your heart was hammering for an entirely different reason now.
"Are you mad? Sneaking up on me like a thief! What if someone saw you?"
"Nobody saw me," Jungkook chuckled, stepping closer until he was leaning against the railing right next to you, "Everyone’s fast asleep. Couldn't sleep myself. Kept thinking about a certain sour lemon."
You rolled your eyes, but a smile tugged at the corners of your lips. Jungkook tilted his head, his playful expression suddenly softening, he reached out, his long fingers gently brushing a stray lock of hair behind your ear. His touch left a trail of fire on your skin.
"I love..." Jungkook murmured, his voice dropped. You froze, your eyes widening as you stared at him. The entire world seemed to stop spinning. Your heart stopped beating. Did he just say...?
"Say it," you whispered, your voice trembling as you searched his eyes, desperately needing to hear the rest. Jungkook’s eyes crinkled at the corners, a slow smirk spreading across his lips. "...your hair."
Your jaw dropped but you still put your hopes up. "And?"
"Your eyes," he teased, stepping an inch closer. "And?" you demanded, crossing your arms. "Your dressing style," he chuckled, his dimples popping out in full force.
"And?"
"Your dad, your mom, Aunt Mary, Aunt Rose..." Jungkook rattled off, grinning like a schoolboy as he counted them on his fingers.
"Ugh! You are insufferable!" you snapped, your romantic expectations completely shattered. You stepped forward and slapped his chest hard. "Stay here! I'm going back inside!" You spun on your heel to march toward the terrace doors, but you didn't even make it a foot away. Jungkook’s hand shot out, his fingers locking firmly around your wrist. With a sudden, effortless jerk, he pulled you backward, you tumbled straight back into his chest, his other arm instantly locking around your waist to trap you against him.
"Hold on," he whispered, "I wasn't finished, princess."
"I love you, Y/N. The whole bloody lot of you." Before your brain could even process the words, Jungkook leaned down and then, his lips met yours. The kiss was everything you hadn't realized you were waiting for , soft at first, a gentle, hesitant question, before deepening into something fierce, passionate, and consuming. Your hands automatically found their way to his shirt, gripping the fabric tightly as you melted into his warmth, your heart exploding into a wild, frantic rhythm.
Out of no were the sudden realization flooded your mind like ice water , you were on the roof, in the middle of the night, kissing your father’s student. You abruptly pulled away from him, your breathing ragged, your lips tingling as you stared at Jungkook with wide, terrified eyes.
"Y/n, wait—" Jungkook reached out, his hand cutting through the air to catch you. But you were already moving. Without looking back at him once, You flew down the stairs, your heart hammering against your ribs, leaving Jungkook standing entirely alone.
The next morning, the heavy cloud of last night’s storm still hung over the estate. But the mansion was loud as Your father’s oldest and wealthiest friend was arriving with his family from the city. Your heart was in your throat as you walked quickly down the quiet corridor, trying to reach your room to change your clothes.
Suddenly, the same pair of arms wrapped securely around your waist from behind, pulling you "Why did you run away last night, princess?" Jungkook’s voice was a soft, breathless whisper against your ear.
"Jungkook, let go!" you panicked, "Leave me! Someone will come down this hallway at any second!"
"Let them," he murmured stubbornly, tightening his grip, his chin resting on your shoulder. "I don't care anymore. I love you, baby look at me."
"Jungkook, I said stop!" You tried to twist out of his arms, but his embrace was a solid wall. The panic of your father walking in, combined with the pressure of the guests arriving downstairs, completely overwhelmed your brain.
In a flash of second you violently spun around in his arms and slap him , the sharp, stinging sound echoed. Your hand remained frozen in the air, your palm burning. Jungkook’s head was turned to the side from the force of the blow. He didn't say a single word. He slowly dropped his hands to his sides, took a step back, and looked at you as if you were a complete stranger. Before you could even open your mouth to apologize, Jungkook turned on his heel and walked straight into his bedroom, slamming the heavy wooden door shut. The sound of the lock sliding into place felt like a knife to your chest.
You threw yourself against the closed door, banging your fists against the dark wood. "Jungkook! Jungkook, please open the door! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, I was just scared! Please!" Inside, you could hear the heavy sounds of him dragging his trunk across the floor, probably packing his bags , the fear of him leaving.
"Jungkook, stop it! Open the door!" you begged, tears finally spilling over your eyelashes. "You love me, right? If you love me, you have to open this door!" The packing sounds suddenly stopped. Jungkook finally spoke, his voice didn't sound like him anymore.
"I don't love you," his voice cut through the door, "I don't even like you. You don't deserve my love."
The words hit you like a physical blow . The guilt in your stomach instantly twistef , your tears dried up, replaced by a toxic, defensive anger. If he was going to push you away when you were begging, you weren't going to let him see you look weak. You stepped back from the door, wiping your cheeks aggressively, your voice hardening into a bitter shout.
"Fine! Then stay locked in there! Today, a lot of people are coming to this house. Someone out there will obviously like me! So stay right there and watch!" You spun on your heel and marched down the hallway, your heart was completely bleeding.
You getting ready still thinking about Jungkook , feeling guilty but angry too.
"Y/n come your father calling you guest came " Lily said peek inside your room . You just give her a faint nod.
When you descended the stairs, you saw the grand hall completely packed. Your father's oldest friends and their extended families had taken over the low seating arrangements. But at the center of the room sat the most prominent guests of the evening.
The Kim family, there was the father, a dignified businessman, the mother, a gentle woman and their youngest daughter, Alice, who was exactly your age, looking around the grand estate with bright, curious eyes you saw him, there was the eldest son Kim Seokjin. Jin sat perfectly straight, dressed like royalty.
Unlike Jungkook's wild, windswept energy, Jin exuded absolute stillness. He was talking softly to an elder, bowing his head respectfully with a gentle smile that immediately calmed the chaotic room. "Ah, here she is!" your father announced proudly as you stepped onto the main floor.
"Come sit, y/n," your mother smiled, gesturing to the cushion "Everyone has traveled so far. After all, everyone know how good you are at singing , It is only fair that you grace us with a song."
You felt a heavy lump form in your throat. You didn't want to sing. Your heart was bleeding, fractured by the fight with Jungkook just an hour ago. But looking at your father’s unyielding eyes, you knew you couldn't refuse. You sat down, you closed your eyes, and as you drew in air. When you opened your mouth, the melody that poured out wasn't just a song , it was raw, devastating emotion.
Across the hall, Jin completely froze. The polite smile vanished from his face. His dark, deep eyes locked onto your face. As your voice hit the high, melancholic notes, Jin lost himself looking at you. He didn't blink. He didn't hear the chatter around him anymore. To Jin, the entire crowded room had completely vanished, leaving only you, your tragic eyes, and the beautiful, heartbreaking melody pouring from your soul.
After the gathering, the guests dispersed into the gardens for dinner. Jin, overwhelmed by the evening, had walked away from the crowd, sitting completely alone staring blankly at the ground.
"So, this is where you're hiding!" A cheerful voice broke his thoughts. Alice walked over, as she sat down right next to her brother, a knowing, mischievous smirk on her face. "Alice," Jin murmured, shifting slightly, "Shouldn't you be with the other girls?"
"I came here to find you, oppa," Alice teased, nudging his shoulder playfully. "I practically dragged Mom and Dad to this estate today just so you and y/n could meet. C'mon, she’s right there. Go talk to her!" Jin immediately hesitated, looking down at his hand.
"I can't, Alice. I shouldn't."
"Why not?"
"Look at her," Jin whispered softly, looking across the lawn to where you stood. "She’s too good. Too beautiful. And her talent, her voice belongs to the heavens. Why would a girl like her ever want to talk to someone as ordinary as me?"
Alice’s face softened, and she fiercely grabbed her brother’s arm. "Don't say that! My brother isn't less than anyone in this world. You are kind, intelligent, and you are way better than her! Stop doubting yourself. Come on." She leaned in closer, her eyes glittering with excitement. "Just tell me one thing... do you like her?"
The question caught Jin completely off guard. A deep blush instantly rushed up his neck, coloring his cheeks as a shy, breathless smile touched his lips. He looked over at you one more time.
"Yes," Jin whispered softly, his voice full of absolute sincerity. "I do. I really do."
The midnight had settled into a quiet, but inside the private chambers of your parents, a major turning point was taking place. Your father stood by the wide balcony window, looking out. He was lost in deep thought. Suddenly, a pair of arms wrapped gently around his neck from behind. Your mother smiled softly, resting her chin on his shoulder as she looked out at the stars with him.
"Ji-hoon," she murmured, "I’ve been thinking about something for y/n all evening. I think Jin, your friend's son, is the absolute best match for her." Your father didn't move, but a slight frown touched his forehead. "Marriage?" he questioned, his voice low and serious. "She is still so young. There is no need to rush her into a commitment."
Your mother pulled away with a gentle laugh, walking over to the large traditional bed. She sat down smoothly on the mattress. "She will always be a child for us, Ji-hoon. But look at the Kim family. They are respectable, cultured, and Jin... Jin is a gem of a man. Did you see the way he looked at her when she sang? He would keep our daughter like a queen."
Your father stood silent for a long moment. He respected his friend, and he knew Jin’s reputation as a man. Finally, a faint nod broke his strict posture. "Okay then," your father said, "If you think it is right, I will talk to my friend about it tomorrow." Your mother couldn't help but let out a joyful, victorious giggle, her heart swelling with the excitement of planning her only daughter’s grand future.
The next evening, the grand dining hall was packed with the entire extended family sat together for dinner. Jungkook sat right in the middle, but his usual bright energy was completely gone. He looked staring straight at his plate, completely ignoring your presence. You sat right beside him. Lily and Daisy moved quickly around the circle, serving food. Your cousin sisters, entirely oblivious to the tension, immediately began bombarding Jungkook with questions. "Jungkook, do you have big concerts? Do girls like your music?"
Jungkook forced a polite smile "Yeah, occasionally. It's quite different over there, you see." Desperate to break his cold exterior, you quietly slipped your hand under the heavy wooden table. You reached out, your fingers trembling as you tried to hold his hand, silently begging for forgiveness through your touch. The moment your skin brushed his, Jungkook flinched. Without a single glance at you, he sharply pulled his hand away, tucking it firmly into his lap.
Jungkook picked up his spoon, taking a large bite to distract himself. "Wow. This is tasty," he said aloud to your mother. Your mother beamed with prid "Oh, I am so glad you like it, Jungkook! Today, y/n made the entire dinner herself."
Jungkook froze. His hand stopped mid air, you let out a nervous chuckle and let out a teasing comment before your brain could stop you. "Well, he can't digest good things , right Koo?."
Jungkook didn't say a word. Instead, he reached straight for the bowl full of green chillies. Before anyone could stop him, Jungkook picked up a raw chilli and bit right into it. Then another and another. "Jungkook! Stop!" Your mother cried out, jumping up from her seat in absolute horror. The cousins gasped.
Your mother rushed over, swatting your arm angrily. "Y/N! What is wrong with you? Why you always tease him so ruthlessly?" She quickly grabbed a glass of cold water, pressing it into Jungkook's hands. "Here, drink this, dear boy! Stop eating that!"
Jungkook’s face was turning red, sweat breaking out across his forehead as his eyes watered. He didn't touch the water. He pushed the glass away, abruptly stood up and run toward his room.
Jungkook was pacing the room like a trapped animal, his throat was burning, his chest heaving as he gasped for air, he looked incredibly uncomfortable, You didn't care about his anger right now. You stepped into the room, holding a small bowl filled with a sweet paste, a spoon resting inside it.
"Get out," Jungkook choked, he didn't look at you. "I told you. Get the hell out of my room, y/n" You didn't listen. You took a step closer, scooping a small dollop of sweet onto the spoon. "Jungkook, stop being stubborn. Your mouth is burning. Just eat this."
"I said no!" Jungkook pushed your hand away. The spoon rattled against your fingers, but you didn't back down , you scooped again "Jungkook, please. Just take it." He pushed your hand away a second time, harder this time, "Don't touch me! Go back downstairs."
You ignored the sting of his words. For the third time, you stepped closer, pressing the spoon right against his tightly closed lips. "I'm not going anywhere. Eat it."
With a frustrated groan, Jungkook shoved your arm aside. You didn't let him breathe for the fourth time, you firmly pressed the sweet against his lips, refusing to back down. This time he gave up, hopened his mouth and let you feed him. His shoulders dropped. You quickly set the silver bowl away on a nearby.
Before he could say another word, You reached gently cupped his face your thumbs brushed against his cheekbones, forcing him to look at you. Jungkook’s breath hitched and then, you leaned in and kissed him. You loved your lips slowly gently like an unspoken apologies and terrifying love you had been burying inside your chest. Jungkook froze for a split second, his hands hovering in the air, before he completely surrendered. His arms wrapped fiercely around your waist, pulling you so tight against his chest , capturing your lips passionately.
When your lips finally parted, Jungkook didn't let you go. His grip on your waist tightened, He leaned down, his lips trailing a path from your mouth down to your jaw, pressing deep, breathless kisses against the sensitive skin there. A soft gasp escaped your throat as his mouth drifted lower, his lips finding the column of your neck, making your entire body shiver, you wrapped your arms fiercely around his neck, burying your face in his shoulder just to stay grounded.
Without breaking the rhythm of his kisses, Jungkook hooked his arms under your thighs and effortlessly lifted you off your feet. You clung to him as he carried you across the room gently lowering you onto the edge of the mattress as he leave over you. Jungkook captured your lips once more, his hand slid down from your waist.
His palm tracing your breast, his fingers pressing firmly against your nipples, squeezing gently through the silk of your dress as his mouth completely dominated yours.
With a breathless, trembling effort you placed your hands against his shoulder and firmly pushed him back, breaking the kiss. "Everyone is waiting, Jungkook," you whispered looking at him with wide, pleading eyes, your hand gently resting against his cheek. "Let's go. Please... it's just not the time." Jungkook closed his eyes, resting his forehead against yours for a long, heavy moment as he forced his breathing to slow down.
The next morning in the kitchen you stood by the counter, quietly helping your mother chop vegetables. Aunt Mary and Aunt Rose were busy near the pots. Aunt Rose stirred the tea as she glanced over at you. She let out a loud, dramatic sigh. "My own daughters are getting older by the day, you know. Y/N is the eldest in this entire house. If she doesn’t get married soon, how the time ever going to come for my girls?"
You slammed your knife onto the board, your patience snapping. You turned around, crossing your arms tightly. "Don't worry about my marriage," you said "When the right time comes, and when I find someone I actually love.....I will get married."
The entire kitchen went dead silent. Your mother's jaw dropped in absolute horror. "Y/N!" your mother thundered with embarrassment. She stepped forward, grabbing your arm tightly. "How dare you speak back to your aunt like that? Where is your discipline? Say sorry to Rose right this instant!"
You stared at your mother "I won't," you whispered defiively before your mother could even react, you ripped your arm from her grip, and rushed straight out of the kitchen. Your mother closed her eyes, letting out a deeply humiliated sigh as she turned back to Rose.
"I am so incredibly sorry on her behalf, Rose," your mother murmured softly, "Please don't take her words to heart. Ji-hoon and I are already seeing a guy for her, the Kim family's son, Seokjin. If things get finalized, I will get her married off as soon as possible." A faint smirk spread on Rose lips.
You rush toward terrace to Jungkook , he was sitting showing your younger brothers his bicep. The second Jungkook lifted his head and saw you , his entire posture changed. He turned to your brothers "Right, boys. That's enough for today, yeah? Go down." The boys looked between the two of you, and quickly scrambled down the stairs, leaving the terrace completely silent.
You rushed forward, throwing your arms around Jungkook burying your face into his shoulder. You sobbed openly, your entire body trembling "Princess, hey, what's wrong? Talk to me, love," Jungkook whispered, his strong arms wrapping securely around your waist to hold you steady.
"Do something, Jungkook!" you cried out, "Do something, or you are just going to stand right here and watch someone else take me away from you!" Jungkook let out a soft chuckle, he gently rubbed your back. "Whoa, hold on. Who’s going to take you? Unless they’ve got a literal army, I think I can handle a few local lads, princess."
The teasing response hit your raw nerves like fire. The fear of your mother's words in the kitchen flashed in your mind. You violently shoved his chest, you glared at him through your tears. "I am serious, Jeon Jungkook! Stop treating everything like a bloody joke! Everyone downstairs is talking about my marriage right now! My mother is already looking at a guy! What am I supposed to do?"
Jungkook's eyes darken instantly. Before you could even take another breath, his hand shot out, locking around your wrist. With a sudden jerk, he pulled you forward, pinning your back on the railing. "No one," Jungkook hissed, he leaned down until his lips almost brushed yours. "No one can even think about touching you while I am standing here. Do you understand me? Look at me. Do you trust me?" Staring up into the fierce devotion in his eyes, your chest slowly melted away. You swallowed hard, and gave him a desperate nod. "Yes. I trust you." He didn't waste another second. He leaned in and captured your lips.
Your parents sat in the back of the car, your father's face was completely unreadable, your mother sat beside, her heart fluttering with the excitement of settling her only daughter into the most prestigious family in the city. The car pulled up to the grand, elegant gates of the Kim residence.
Jin's home was a masterpiece of modern sophistication and quiet luxury. The heavy front doors opened, and your parents were warmly welcomed inside by Jin's parents and his younger sister, Alice. "Ji-hoon, my friend!" Jin's father beamed, stepping forward to give your father a warm, respectful hug. "We have been waiting for your visit. Please, sit."
After the initial formal greetings, your mother and Jin's mother exchanged knowing, hopeful glances."We came here today to speak about something very close to our hearts," your father began, he looked straight at Jin's father. "We want to officially propose a union between our families. My daughter, and your eldest son, Seokjin."
Jin's mother’s face instantly lit up with pure joy. "There is nothing in this world that would make us more happier! Y/N is an absolute angel. Her voice, her manners...she is exactly the kind of daughter in law we have been praying for."
Right at that moment, Seokjin stepped into the living room, looking impeccably handsome.
"Ah, Seokjin, come here!" his father called out proudly, gesturing to the empty space beside him. "Your uncle Ji-hoon has just brought us the most wonderful news." Jin walked over bowing his head deeply to show his utmost respect to your parents. "Welcome to our home."
Your father looked up at Jin, examining his calm, mature demeanor, his steady eyes, and the quiet strength he carried. A rare, satisfied smile touched your father's lips. "Seokjin," your father said gently but firmly. "We have officially decided to give our daughter hand to you. The marriage is confirmed." Hearing the words out loud, Jin’s heart did a violent, soaring flip against his ribs. He looked down at his hands, trying to suppress the overjoyed smile spreading across his face. He remembered your tragic, beautiful eyes from the night you sang.
He was ready to spend the rest of his life making you happy."Thank you, Uncle," Jin whispered, his voice thick with absolute sincerity and respect. "I promise you...I will hold her happiness above my own, always." The elders instantly clapped, laughing and exchanging boxes of gifts. Alice giggled loudly, nudging her blushing brother's shoulder in celebration.
At night you were in your room when the door clicked shut without a single sound as a tall silhouette stepped inside. It was Jungkook , he walked toward the mattress where you sat. Your heart hammered as he sat right beside you, "Are you awake, love," he whispered, Before you could even answer, his strong arms wrapped around your waist, pulling your body flush against his chest.
He leaned down, his warm lips capturing yours in a deep, desperate kiss. You wrapped your arms tightly around his shoulders, tangling your fingers in the damp strands of his dark hair as he pulled you down further onto the mattress. Jungkook pulled back his fingers drifted down to the top button of your top.
"Princess," he murmured. "Can I...can I take this off?" You stared up, and gave a slow nod. With that silent permission, his fingers pulling the silk fabric away from you. He moved to unhook your bra, letting the clothing slip down to the floor. Jungkook completely froze, staying raised above you on his elbows as your skin caught the cool night air. "Blimey," he whispered, his voice cracking slightly with genuine wonder.
"You're absolutely stunning, love. I don't think I've ever seen anything more beautiful in my entire life." He leaned down, his lips moving with a slow, worshiping your breast , His hands traced your sides gently, his warm mouth giving all of his intense attention to your nipples.
You pulled his face closer against you, your voice trembling. "I love you," you gasped out. "Jungkook, I love you so much." He froze against your skin for a split second. He didn't speak a single word, but the deep, consuming way he captured your lips in a passionate kiss was all the answer you needed. He push his tongue inside your mouth consuming the warm saliva. As his hand keep squeezing your boobs , as if he could do it all day without rest , he pull back a lil , pulling his tee over his head throwing it on a random corner of your room .
And lean down kissing the sensitive skin of your neck while your hand trace his abs and chest backand forth.
Your legs wrapped around his waist, against his bulging length you could feel pulsing against you. "Fuck yeah.." You cursed low, head falling back on the pillows and Jungkook looked up, his own cock twitching at the sight of you.
"This here needs some attention too, hmm?" He rasped, hands slipping down from the curve of your waist, pulling your pants down your hips. Wasting no time in finding the wet mess you made of your panties. "Look at this." He grunted, hand cupping your clothed mound. "So wet." You exhaled and a whimper followed right after when he disposed you of them, exposing your deprived cunt to the cold air that had you clenching around nothing.
"And so fucking responsive." He breathed against your bare sex after moving his head down. The way his hands gripped your thighs, his fingers dug into your skin. Your legs draped over his shoulders, trembling."Jungkook—oh God!" You gasped and he groaned.
Burying his face in your wanting pussy. His mouth wrapped around your clit, tounge swiping and licking "Oh- mhm. Feels so good!" You moan out.A shaky exhale brushing against your folds.
"Ah fuck—Oh lord!" You fingers tear in his scalp and hips bucked against his face, eyes rolling back, toes curling . "Oh shit, princess" He whimpers against your cunt.
He swallowed hard, pressing a kiss to your clit before leaning back, your hands loosening their grip in his hair, half lidded eyes meeting his own before they trail down. "Y-You.." You didn’t know what to say, couldn’t have spoken even if you tried. "I'm a starved man, baby" he said leaning upward kissing you softly , just pressing his lips onto yours to keep you in senses.
"Hi." He breathed against you. You felt a shy smile twitch on your lips. "Hi." You reply just as breathlessly. He presses another kiss, this time to the tip of your nose. " Let me put it inside you, yeah?"
"Mhm." You mewl, hands softly going through the beautiful mess that you made of his hair. "What, use your words pretty lady?" He demanded, lips on your cheek. "Please fuck me." You whine and he bumped his nose against your face.
You can't help but grind against him, coaxing his cock back into hardness with your bare cunt against him. His hand trembling when they reached down to pull his pants out, pushing the fabric down his hips to reveal his boxers that were bounding his hard, leaking cock. He took himself in his fist, groaning when he pumped himself in one slow stroke. Eyes never leaving your wide ones like you weren’t sure if you should be impressed, intimidated, or both.
"You're too big."
"And you're gonna take every inch." He said it like a statement, finally leaning above you, the tip of his veiny cock to your slick folds. "Dear lord—" You gasp out loud, your heat stretching around. "Fucking hell." The sensation was overwhelming , you feel that your pussy going to split apart any moment now that's stopping him from moving.
"You're so tight , princess." He hisses out and squeezes your hips with great roughness. His jaw clenched, a low groan rumbling in his chest as he started to move his hips against yours, slow. Your legs around his hips, pulling him closer.
“That’s right, I love you so much” he muttered, his face was buried in the crook of your shoulder. “You’re,fuck, you’re perfect m'love.”
"F-Faster! Please go faster!" His pace was unhurried but devastating, every pull and thrust deliberate. You couldn’t take that anymore and Jungkook couldn’t take keeping you unsatisfied.
His lips found the corner of your mouth, brushing a kiss before moving lower, his teeth grazing your jaw. His hands moved to your thighs, “taking me so well, was made for this cock.” your own body moved with his, meeting him with the same intensity, the same desperate need. "Yeah." He grunted, punctuating his words with a squeeze to your boobs.
The next day the atmosphere inside the drawing room was suffocatingly tense, Aunt Rose sat rigidly, her fingers tightly laced together as she looked across the room, "You talk as though the sun rises and sets purely for your own household," Aunt Rose taunted, "Do you honestly believe your daughter is the only pristine child in this family?" Yourmother slammed her palm flat against the table, "Keep my daughter’s name out of your mouth, Rose! There's a lot of things about your daughter i don't want to say , atleast my child is not like them. Mind your own daughter’s desperate behavior before you dare point fingers at mine!"
Aunt Rose gasped sharply, "Oh, really? You think she is so bloody innocent?"Uncle Jack grabbed Rose’s sleeve, his face pale as he tried to pull her back down to avoid a public scandal. "Rose, drop it right now. Don’t go causing a scene over absolutely nothing—"
"No, Jack, let her hear the truth!" Aunt Rose hissed, violently shaking off his hand. She raised her arm, pointing a finger directly toward the ceiling. "Oh, go see for yourself what your precious, perfect daughter is doing with that foreign music student up on the terrace right now! Go upstairs and look at your family 'honour' rotting away in the dark!"
A dead, terrifying silence instantly fell over the room. Your father, who had been sitting quietly by the fireplace, froze completely. His jaw clenched so tightly the muscles in his cheek twitched, and his expression hardened into pure stone. Without uttering a single word, he stood up, as he began a menacing march toward the grand stairwell. Panicking, your mother hurried right behind him, her heart hammering against her ribs as she prayed Aunt Rose was lying to ruin their family name.
Up on the rooftop terrace, Jungkook had pulled you back against his chest, his large, warm hands splaying flat against your stomach, anchoring you to him. He was softly humming a your favorite song against the shell of your ear.
A breathless laugh escaped your lips as his lips brushed your jawline while he whispered "I could stay like this until the world ends, princess" He turned you around slowly within the tight circle of his arms until you were facing him. He cupped your face, his thumbs tracing your cheekbones with a tenderness that made your knees weak. "Just you and me. Tell me we don't need anything else."
You smiled up at him, your hands sliding up his chest, pulling yourself closer until there was no space left between you. "Jungkook, be serious," you breathed, your heart beat fast ,as your eyes dropped to his lips. "If my father catches us out here, he will absolutely ruin us."
Instead of stepping back, Jungkook’s grip tightened, pulling your hips flush against his. He let out a low, defiant chuckle, his gaze dropping to your mouth before rising back to your eyes. "Let him try," he whispered, leaning down until his lips were a mere breath away from yours. "I’m not going anywhere. I don’t care about their rules or what your family demands. I want you to promise me something right now."
He pressed his forehead gently against yours, "Promise me that no matter what lies they tell you, and no matter how hard they try to tear us apart, you won't let them change your mind about me. Promise me you'll belong only to me."
Tears pricked the corners of your eyes , you tangled your fingers in the hair at the nape of his neck, tilting your head up to close the agonizing gap between you. "I promise you, Jungkook," you swore softly, your lips brushing his as you spoke. "I am yours completely. It has only ever been you, and no one else will ever touch my heart. I will wait for you forever if I have to."
A soft groan escaped the back of Jungkook's throat at your words. He closed the distance entirely, his lips molding over yours in a deep, kiss that tasted of sweet desperation and unspoken vows. His hands slid up your spine, pressing you so tightly against him that you could feel the frantic.
"I love you princess"
"I love you koo"
The heavy iron door of the terrace flew open, slamming violently against the wall and shattering the fragile paradise you had built in Jungkook's arms. You snapped apart instantly, gasping, your heart dropped straight into your stomach. Standing in the doorway, framed by the dim glow, was your entire family. Your father’s chest heaved, while Aunt Rose peeked over his shoulder with a smug, venomous grin.
Before you or Jungkook could even utter a word of defense, your mother lunged forward. Before you could even blink, her hand flew through the air, landing across your cheek with a sharp slap that echoed off the stone walls. Your head snapped back, the skin of your face instantly burning as tears erupted from your eyes.
"You shameless girl!" your mother hissed, her voice shaking with disgust as she grabbed your wrist, violently yanking you away from Jungkook.
"Y/N!" Jungkook roared, his eyes widening in pure horror. He instantly moved to step between you and your mother, his hands reaching out to protect you, but your father lunged forward, grabbing Jungkook by the collar and shoving him backward against the terrace railing, cutting off his path to you."Don't you dare lay a hand on my daughter!"
"Mumma, please! Stop! Let me go!" you begged frantically, "Jungkook! Father, please don't hurt him! It was my fault, please!" Your mother didn't listen to a single word. Devoid of any mercy, she dug her nails into your wrist, dragging you down the stairwell like a prisoner. You stumbled blindly down the steps, your tears blurring the sight of the plush velvet carpets and the pristine family portraits lining the walls.
You screamed and pleaded, but your mother remained entirely deaf to your cries, her only focus being to hide you away from the world.
She threw open the heavy door of your bedroom, violently shoving you inside so hard that you collapsed onto the floor, before slamming the door shut and turning the brass key with a sharp, final click.
Up on the terrace, Jungkook and your father standing, Your father stepped closer, his voice dropped "Remember that day in my study, Jungkook? You ask me about the fees for your classes?"Jungkook swallowed hard, he slowly nodded his head, his hands clenching into fists at his sides. "I remember, sir. You said you didn't want my money."
"Exactly," your father hissed, "I told you that, but I also told you that if the day ever came where I asked you for something in return, you would have to give it to me. Do you remember your promise, boy?"
"I do, but sir, please, anything else—"
"I am asking for that payment today," your father cut him off, he raised a finger, pointing it directly at Jungkook's chest. "Leave my daughter. Pack your things, leave this country, and never look back. I want you gone from her life. That is the price of my teaching. Now pay your debt and get out."
Jungkook felt the words strike him like a physical blow, he realized his beautiful dream was completely shattered Jungkook’s knees buckled under the crushing weight of those words, and for the first time, his fierce, protective stance completely crumbled. Tears broke free, spilling rapidly down his pale, bruised cheeks as he fell to his knees right there on the cold stone of the terrace, completely broken. He reached out with trembling hands, practically grovelling at your father’s leather brogues, entirely stripping away his pride.
"Sir, please... I beg of you, don't do this to us," Jungkook sobbed, his voice cracking into a raw, desperate shriek that pierced the silent night. "I love her, sir! I love Y/N more than my own life. I don't care about the music, I don't care about anything else in this world, just let me be with her! I will do whatever you ask, I will work a thousand times harder, but please, I cannot live without her. My heart will stop beating if you tear her away from me!"
Your father didn’t even blink. His face remained an unmoving, heartless mask of aristocratic steel, entirely unmoved by the young man's agonizing despair. He coldly pulled his foot back from Jungkook’s grasp, looking down at him with nothing but disgust and unyielding authority.
He slowly pulled a silver pocket watch from his coat vest, clicking it open with a sharp, metallic sound that signaled the end of Jungkook's life as he knew it.
"You have exactly ten minutes," your father stated, his voice flat, hollow, and utterly devoid of mercy. "Ten minutes to go downstairs, pack your wretched bags, and clear out of my estate. If I see your face inside my gates when the hand moves, I will have the authorities drag you away in chains. Pay your debt and leave."
Jungkook’s knees buckled under the weight of those words, his tears broke freely, as he fell to his knees right there "Sir, please...I beg of you, don't do this to us," Jungkook sobbed, "I love her, sir!
His face remained an unmoving. He slowly pulled a pocket watch clicking it open with a sharp, metallic sound that signaled the end of Jungkook's life as he knew it."You have exactly ten minutes, Ten minutes to go downstairs, pack your bags, and clear out of my estate."
Jungkook looked up, searching the older man's eyes for a single shred of humanity, but he found absolutely nothing. Jungkook slowly forced himself to stand up on his trembling legs. He wiped his tears before turning around to pack his things and face the long, agonizing journey back to London.
Inside the suffocating darkness of your bedroom, Your frantic sobs echoed off the walls as you choked on your own tears. Suddenly, the door swung open, Daisy standing there, her eyes wide with sorrow and her face pale."Y/N," Daisy whispered, her voice trembling "He's going. Your father said, he said you can watch him one last time before he leaves."
The words hit you like an electric shock. Without a single second of hesitation, you pushed past her. You rushed downstairs "Jungkook!" you shrieked, But by the time your feet hit the bottom steps of the grand stairs, you froze, your breath completely catching in your throat. There he was, standing right at the main door of the estate. He was holding his suitcase, his shoulders slumped and shaking with silent, heavy sobs.
He didn't turn back, knowing that looking into your eyes would break whatever little strength he had left to fulfill his promise to your father. Without a single word, Jungkook stepped across the threshold, and the heavy front door began to swing shut, severing your world in two. You broke down completely sobbing so hard , it echoed in the whole estate, your mother started crying too , your sister rush toward you.
"Call my friend Mr. Kim , ask him to come with his family" your father said to his manager.
