tumblr staff reportedly getting fired down to like 25 people left is obviously no state for a site this big to be in but i was under the impression that was actually the end result of the previous tumblr death scare already so I guess all things considered this place is still doing pretty well

sighs the problem is that tumblr really is the best social media for art on a structural level. the only other sites to give you this much freedom over an image post are ones you make yourself.

people refuse to understand the concept of "this isn't important to me but i understand why it might be important to other people"

or hell you dont even have to 'understand' or get it or agree with it you just need to understand that certain things you dont care about or dont matter to you are important to others. and you're not necessarily better or more correct for not caring
