I’m pretty sure the reason I started (obsessively) reading Irondad fics was because I was desperately speculating about Endgame 😅

My favorite piece of dialogue/description in my current WIPs is from a platonic Irondad soulmate AU I’ve been working on for a while (for,, way too long whoops, I’m a mess XD). Here it is:

Peter laughs to himself, lost in a memory Tony feels blessed to be welcomed into.

Tony tries to picture it, tries to peek through the glass cage and into Peter’s life, tries not to feel like he’s trespassing on something immeasurable private and precious: a younger Peter Parker, surrounded by his Decathlon teammates, still riding the high of victory as he exchanges that fateful fist-bump with his friend. He thinks about how thrilled Peter must have been, to watch that spot of orange bloom across MJ’s fist and find it mirrored on his own knuckles, making a home for itself right next to Ned’s soulmark. He thinks about Peter throwing his arms around MJ in their first hug, their bond already cemented on their skin, amidst a cacophony of cheers and chattering nerds.

And, because I am terrible at following directions, here’s one from my YOI fic for you (you know which one) ;)

Yuri’s arrogance has tempered after years of fancing Katsudon on the ice. He’s long since stopped overestimating himself and underestimating his opponents (especially Katsuki Yuuri). In this way, Yuri Plisetsky knows exactly what he’s capable of. He’s beaten Yuuri before, and he knows he absolutely can do so again.

...So long as Yuuri doesn’t pull out his quad axel, that is.
