You know what's interesting about Lakan. The first impression we get of him comes primarily from the story Lakan tells Jinshi about his relationship with Fengxian. And then later on we get the flashback that does not technically contradict anything Lakan said to Jinshi, but paints him in a completely different light than he painted himself.

And it's just ocurred to me that he probably deliberately twisted the facts of the situation to make himself seem more ruthless. Because he's telling this story to Jinshi, the man who bought his daughter. Like, if I remember correctly, Lakan didn't start Bothering Jinshi until he overheard the rumors about Jinshi buying a courtesan from the Verdigris House. So I think Lakan's trying to tell Jinshi "you'll give me my daughter if you know what's good for you" both with the story and by hanging around being obnoxious

Basen POV when Ah Duo is playing body double tells us that up to the Shi clan rebellion, Basen has NO idea why Jinshi's so interested in Maomao (he thinks it's something to do with leverage over Lakan). To be fair, unlike Gaoshun, Basen has never watched Jinshi mope in a corner growing mushrooms because he misses Maomao

The way Lakan starts plotting vengeance on Jinshi for touching Maomao's shoulder three whole times during their shogi match, but in no version of the actual shogi match scene is such a touch even mentioned. Which says to me that neither Jinshi nor Maomao take much notice of such small casual touches. Which could mean nothing

One thing that strikes me about the scene where Wade and Logan save the multiverse is it's interspersed with shots of TVA people watching the security feed and timeline integrity readout with exactly the same amount of rapt attention they gave the clip from Logan of Wolverine dying
