I have to do some things alone because theyâre just for me. If anyone else is present, Iâm thinking about them and their satisfaction rather than focusing on my own.
âI have faults enough, but they are not, I hope, of understanding. My temper I dare not vouch for. It is, I believe, too little yieldingâ certainly too little for the convenience of the world. I cannot forget the follies and vices of other so soon as I ought, nor their offenses against myself. My feelings are not puffed about with every attempt to move them. My temper would perhaps be called resentful. My good opinion once lost, is lost forever.â â Mr. Darcy, Pride and Prejudice
The Difference Between Weak Fi and Weak Fe
Weak Fi: "I bottle up my feelings and let them age like fine wine. I'm very aware of how I'm feeling, but I internalize those feelings in favor of doing what is logical (although my 'objective logic' may actually be mainly informed by my subjective emotions and if you point this out then I HATE YOU HOW DARE YOU IMPLY THAT I'M BEING EMOTIONAL I WOULD NEVER EVER LET MY FEELINGS SHOW)."
Weak Fe: "I'm fine. I'm basically a robot, so I have no feelings. Absolutely nothing bothers me. Pfft, emotions? What are those? I don't have any of tho--OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT I'M EXPERIENCING AN EMOTION WHAT EVEN IS THIS OH GOD WHAT DO I DO THIS IS TERRIBLE MAKE IT STOP--Okay, whatever, I'm fine again. I'm an emotionless robot and nothing can hurt me or get a rise out of me."
Type 5 INTJs
intj-paradigm:
Most Common: 5w6, 5w4, 6w5
Less Common: 1w9, 3w4, 8w7
Type 5:Â The aim of this type is omniscience. A complete and total understanding of all things known, and furthermore unknown. INTJs of this type pursue knowledge with a relentlessness. They use their intuition to innovate and glean insight and their Te to operate empirically and to actualize their ideas. INTJ 5s have contributed the most to the sciences, in both the practical and awe-inspiring sense.
Skepticism runs rampant. There is a strong desire to test all things themselves, and if they cannot, they will scrutinize the experiments, yielded data, and conclusions formed by others with a rigorous intensity. At the professional level, they approach their work with the intent of disproving their fondest and most closely held theories, even moreso the theories of others, believing that only the ones left alive hold any merit.
While their Te is certainly pronounced, actively skeptical, and partial to empiricism, they are by no means lacking in imagination, and gladly invite such an activity so long as some sort of testing occurs at a later point. Their outward demeanor is actually a bit deceptive, in that they reside within an internal world that is rich in symbolism, hitting upon their profoundest insights almost through play, rather than extraneous thought.Â
5w6 - The Problem Solver
(Isaac Newton - Physicist and Mathematician)
5w6 INTJs are extremely methodical and empirical, frequently checking their ideas against the tangible reality for feedback. For this reason, INTJs that score as 5w6 in the enneagram are the stereotypical scientists; they champion the scientific method and may very well be the embodiment of it.
They remain detached during work, debate, and sometimes even play, viewing things from a transcendent viewpoint that will afford them new data in the most objective sense possible. Even their lead intuitive function, that is irrational in the Jungian sense, works strongly alongside their Te to produce some sort of empirical effect.
They are typically highly competent, supremely rational, excel at problem solving, and display a knack for organization that causes a strong attraction to systems and systemic thinking. Outside of the sciences they can do well in business, especially at the higher ranks, although they typically decline positions of outright leadership.Â
5w4 - The Iconoclast
(Nikola Tesla - Inventor and Engineer)
5w4 INTJs tend to lean on and emphasize their Ni more than the archetypal 5w6. There is typically a creative verve to their endeavors that borders on eccentric, and a unique style of thought that is almost purely Jungian; the thinking is almost entirely visual, and seemingly more prone to intuitive leaps and âaha!â moments.Â
The 5w4 is also more characteristically concerned with aesthetics. They find beauty in mathematical formulas, feel that their work is somehow personally tied to their very beings, and experience streaks of fanaticism that can range from genius to nonsensical in nature â Nikola Tesla basically invented the 20th century but also wandered around raving about how he was building a death ray and died homeless.
They are lastly, more emotionally vulnerable than the 5w6, more prone to lows of melancholy and highs of optimism.Â
Famous 5w6 INTJs: Isaac Newton, Stephen Hawking, Hannibal Barca, Karl Marx, John Maynard Keynes.
Famous 5w4 INTJs: Nikola Tesla, Friedrich Nietzsche, John Nash, Heraclitus, Bobby Fischer.

What is it like to be an INTJ?
Imagine having a superpower... Wait, no. Itâs more like a curse. A curse where you can see into the future--disasters, successes, everything--but no one ever believes you, so youâre helpless to do anything about it. Itâs one hundred doors with a thousand potentials, and you can see them all. Thatâs what itâs like to be an INTJ. Due to our dominant Ni coupled with our auxiliary Te, we can see a dozen different outcomes to every scenario and piece together how it could impact the future. Itâs not really a superpower; itâs simply the way our minds are wired to pattern recognize and form connections. This makes us exceptional at playing devilâs advocate, but itâs near torture to foresee the inevitable failed relationship, an advantageous business agreement we canât influence, or a political shift few see coming. Youâre a voiceless ghost, cringing in the background as it all plays out, screaming to the void, âI tried to tell you.â
Introvert Problem #196 When you're not sure if you wish your online friends lived closer so you could see them more often, or you're grateful your online friends don't live closer so you don't have to see them more often.
Pros and Cons: MBTI Edition
Submitted by: STEVE.
INTJ: Best: Insightful voice of reason who just KNOWS what is best for the rest of us and where we should be heading, can convince others with rational, relatable arguments. Worst: Misanthropic jerk who thinks he or she is just better than everyone and others are not worth helping because people are too stupid. Doesnât see their glaring social shortcomings.Â
ENTJ: Best: An inspirational leader whom is both calculated and bold in carving a better tomorrow. A bit cold, but does care for the ultimate welfare of others. Worst: Dictatorship-complexed who thinks he just knows better than anyone. Fails at actually doing anything worthwhile but places the blame elsewhere.Â
INFJ: Best: A very inspirational motivational guru who understands all of your personal struggles and knows how to tap in that personal potential of yours. Very unassuming and law-abiding in a productive way. Worst: Delusional âknows whatâs best for youâ kinda person whom in actuality knows jack about your needs but is somehow convinced their words are gospel.Â
ENFJ: Best: A rallying leader type who wants nothing else than unity and a better tomorrow, understands the different struggles and circumstances of people, able to link them together towards one common goal. Worst: Cult-like leader with a âYouâre either with us or against usâ mentality. Can be delusional and out of touch with reality and not realize how over-dramatic and theatrical they are.Â
INTP: Best: Extremely wise and knowledgeable person who can come off as a borderline idiot savant knowing everything and anything. They can contradict your most cherished beliefs and turn them on on their head in a way that actually makes you think. Worst: Internet troll who probably lives in his parentâs basement attacking people behind the safety of a monitor all in the name of feeling intellectually superior because they havenât actually accomplished worthwhile in their lives.Â
ENTP: Best: That person who can literally find any solution to any of your problems, has a deep sense of community and unity. Their delivery is dry, but youâll ultimately find it very helpful. Worst: A human troll who gets off on offending others and constantly questioning authority even if said authority is there for a really good reason. Can be smug and entitled.Â
INFP: Best: Iconoclastic person who sees reality in a very unique and interesting perspective, super open minded and dreams of bigger and better things. Always optimistic. Weird in all the right ways. Worst: Uselessly rebellious and defiant and thinks they just know better than anyone yet have probably not accomplished anything in their lives because society just doesnât âgetâ them.Â
ENFP: Best:Â Surprisingly realistic person who just seems to have a grasp on the ins and outs of society and reality, yet pushes everyone to be themselves. Sharp, witty, can back up anything they believe in with a million arguments, leaving you with no possible loophole to burst their bubbles. Worst: SJW at itâs worst, aggressively attacking you if you donât agree with them. ready for any argument yet will run around in circles without even realizing it. Think that spouting off ideals and arguments is just as effective if not, stronger than actually doing something about them.
ISTJ: Best: Extremely reliable person with unyielding loyalty whoâs not afraid to lay out the facts out (in a cold manner) in order to help you and others. Will put up with circumstances they dislike for the greater good and youâll never hear an ounce of complaint from them. Has surprising sharp, sarcastic humor that may catch others off guard. Worst: Narrow-minded follower of conventions who hates anything new and progressive. Very blunt about dispelling ideals but usually with ignorant, shallow arguments to back them up.Â
ESTJ: Best: Contrary to popular belief, really fun and convinces others to let loose and be themselves, but does indeed buckle down and gets to business when itâs time, with not a single deviation of protocol going unnoticed. Exceptional family figures. Worst: Goes from dictator to hot mess depending on their mood. May struggle to understand what they stand for and make up for it by attempting to be more competent than others. Can easily get caught in a mid-life crisis when they reach their 40âs all of a sudden wanting to be a 21 year old ESTP :/
ISFJ: Best: Has exceptional balance between wanting to help you but not afraid to call out your bullsh*t. Surprisingly mysterious and deep (hence why many of them are mistyped as INFx). Knows their standards, live by them, yet have this way of gently influencing others without being overbearing. Worst: Thinks society works in a certain way and will recoil, if not, lash out when they meet someone who breaks those boundaries. Convinces themselves that they appreciate people, yet try to mold them into what they want.Â
ESFJ: Best: Super fun loving, non-judgmental person who likes you for who you are and wants to know more about you, but MAY be critical about the way you socially conduct yourself, albeit in a way to help you grow as a person. Has a fun, whimsical side to them. Can spontaneously go off projects that are both on the spur of the moment, yet carefully planned out. Worst: Acts as a social dictator, rallying others against someone they subjectively donât like. Will absolutely make everything about them and be unable to show one ounce of independence.Â
ISTP: Best: That person you want around in the zombie apocalypse. No but seriously, they have this borderline superhuman ability to remain calm and calculated in all the worst situations, reacting in real time with the best course of action, in an almost mesmerizing way. Is extremely loyal to the few friends they have. Worst: Extremely rough, socially detached person who just seems to hate everyone. Lashes out at others constantly in impatience, probably with profanities. Very low emotional intelligence and impulsive behaviors.Â
ESTP: Best: Extremely fun person who constantly wants to drag you out of your comfort zone, but actually knows how to do it without you breaking out in a panic attack. Very generous, charismatic and hell bent on making you the best you can be in the real world. Worst: Essentially the used car salesman prototype who uses their charm to get what they want from others, taking what they need and never looking back with an ounce of remorse, proceeding in self-destruction.Â
ISFP: Best: Very kind-hearted and loyal person who expresses their affection to others in low-key but very authentic ways. Essentially embodies the motto âLive and let liveâ meaning they never ever, judge you if you donât judge them first. Can be calm, artistic and realistic all at once. Worst: A spoiled brat who thinks they are justified in acting on their needs and breaking every rule they come across, yet will ask you for help to clean up their mess.Â
ESFP: Best: Contrary to stereotypes, often a very business, sharp-minded person who sees things as they are and knows how to get ahead. Loyal, friendly no-non sense and knows how to fun with you. Worst: Self-destructive person who thinks they are beyond criticism or act very aggressively towards it. have this âEternal childâ syndrome to them.Â

A mystery, indeed. My website â My Facebook page â See me on LINE Webtoon!
I wanted to ask you a pretty stupid and basic question, but could you please explain the main difference between an introvert and an extrovert in mbti terms, I always thought the difference was obvious, but after reading more into mbti, I find it more complicated to tell what someone is, especially when someone portrays characteristics for both, thank you very much in advance
I wonât say there are no stupid questions, because there are stupid questions â however, this is not one of them. ;)
When the world says extrovert, it means: someone social and outgoing, who is always at a party or has a ton of friends. IE, Elle Woods.
When the world says introvert, it means: loner and lost in their own mind.
When MBTI says extrovert, it means: someone who is most fulfilled and stimulated when focused on the external world.
When MBTI says introvert, it means: someone who is most fulfilled and stimulated when focused on their internal world.
You canât type people based on their behavior; you have to watch where their natural focus and energy goes, to determine introversion or extroversion. An MBTI extrovert might be quiet, shy, withdrawn, have social anxiety, etc., but if their focus is still on the outer world and they become miserable when forced into too much internal reflection, they are still a cognitive extrovert. An MBTI introvert can be charming, outgoing, social, and still prefer time to slow down and internalize their experiences before they socialize again â an introvert.
