"Did you have a stutter?" and the entire episode is Lestat tripping through several tonal shifts as he struggles to not only begin his story, but even continue it honestly until the person that gave it to him in the first place shows up! AND the episode is currently listed as season 2 x 9 on the official AMC+ youtube store, making it an actual stutter before the season starts!

Avoiding spoilers till midnight is hard ASF rn

On the s1 finale and Lestat definitely told louis about akasha. I thought it was weird Louis tells Claudia she shouldn't try to kill Lestat because "he isn't mortal." Because none of them are HELLO. Unless of course Lestat revealed it off screen during épisode 6 when they said no more secrets. Or even just told louis privately. Also in the S2 finale when he says "he doesn't know who that is-" in reference to Akasha makes much more sense if louis already knew.

God this feels like such a different show now. Louis definitely knew Lestat longer than he implied prior to his turning. The way lestat's verbiage automatically turns saccharine after the salesman doesn't make sense otherwise. Plus when louis is trying to leave after, Lestat reassures each worry and tells him to breathe as if guiding him through a panic attack is something he's had to help with before. There's also the comments from him family who have found out from other people other than louis about his kinship with this white man he's familiar enough to go to opera's with. Louis also had that man at his house... TWICE! he was very much brazzy in his courtship with Lestat I fear

So I'm beginning my rewatch of iwtv in lieu of season 3 and it's crazy how much I missed. in s1 x e1 while on the roof, Paul teases louis and says "daddy said I was gonna look down on you for the rest of days." And then louis is always filmed below the portrait of Paul. Plus louis was always going to outlive Paul so it plays into the unavoidable fate louis later comes to grips with.
