Fandom Old Problem: getting into a new fandom and knowing exactly the band, exactly the song that would be perfect for it, and knowing that the odds of that's ever being a vid (or even a fic title) that uses it, and also knowing that the odds of that happening are close to zero* because you first heard it 20 years ago, so you'd have to make them listen to the song first, and even then, it might not hit the same because the whole context isn't there, and you'd also be fighting the urge to say why this song, that you heard at exactly the right time in your life for it, also applies to these characters 20 years later.
I mean, it's not impossible. My parents definitely managed to install a lot of music straight into my heart. But it is tricky.
*unless you do it yourself (which: wanting to watch a thing isn't the same as wanting to write it)
