I have a fandom history question because the mention of Eurovision reminded me of something (I was a super fan until the EBU made it clear where their political sympathies are)
In 2021, I was only a casual 1D enjoyer (as in I knew like 5 songs from every album and a tiny bit of the band lore but not as much as I do now). And I remember this tweet by Jedward. I followed them because they represented Ireland in 2011/2012 and were pretty memorable in Eurovision history. They tweeted about how 1D and Little Mix were basically trapped in lifelong hell because of Syco. And as far as I remember, Louis either replied (or Jedward posted a screenshot of a direct message). He said something along the lines "You guys lost the plot". Did I only misremember this or did this really happen?
No, that happened. They’ve posted a lot about Syco and Modest. None of it complimentary. They were tweeting a bunch of stuff when Louis (or “Louis”) sent a DM.
Jedward answered in a way that made it clear they weren’t bothered by it (or knew it wasn’t Louis).
It’s important to note that Louis followed and then unfollowed Jedward the same day he sent that DM. IMO, that was Louis’ way of drawing attention to what they were tweeting, and the DM was covering himself.
