i appreciate the message, yeah the reason it reminds you of the biphobia push from several years ago is because its the same thing. that and the aro/acephobia from before, he/him lesbians, "nondysphoric" trans people/xenogender users/otherwise "cringe" trans people as well. for as long as i have been involved in the lgbt community (i think i came out as bi/ace in like 2013 or so so its been a while) there has always been a "scapegoat". for some reason the lgbt community has for years chosen a "scapegoat" group to blame homophobia/transphobia on, claim that they are "invading" the lgbt community and "taking resources" from "real" queer/trans people, that theyre homophobic/transphobic by existing, do not belong in the community, and generally make an effort to make their communities hostile and unsafe towards the newest "scapegoat" group. the bigotry doesnt come out of nowhere, its the same people who for some reason really want to oppress a marginalized group of people but do not themselves have the systemic power to do so. im sure there are theories about why lgbt people feel the need to do this because given as its been going on for fucking ever there has to be some kind of sociological/psychological reason, but yeah trans men are just the scapegoat group right now, and like every other group that has been the scapegoat group, in a couple years time people will claim that this never happened and was not that bad, however they were wrong to do that and the next scapegoat group is the REAL villain and has been this whole time
