Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen looking into an X-ray screen placed in front of a man's body, 19th century
Is it somewhere in Jeffery Combs contract that all his characters study at Miskatonic university because I was watching phantom empire and his guy was all "oh I'm from misktonic institute". Same with Crawford Tillinghast in From Beyond.
I think this also implies a universe where just a lot of people at Misktonic just look the same.
In order of release it went Re-Animator in '85, From Beyond in '86, and Phantom Empire in '88. So that probably meant Tillinghast went there first (because he's graduated In From Beyond), and West and Paris could potentially have been there at the same time for a bit.
Though all 3 studied different fields, do you think people would have noticed the familiarities?
Like someone goes "Oh that new med student looks a lot like this other guy studying archeology" and would West's bad reputation have effected Paris while he was a student there?
Let me know what you guys think, I'm very intrigued to hear your opinions.
Also bonus:
What do you think was going on with Colin Childress in Cellar Dweller? Cause he's obviously played by Combs but there's also a Re-Animator poster in the background. So does Jeffrey Combs exist in that universe and that's just Childress' celebrity look alike? Or is this not meant to be read into.
There's also doc Haggis ! At one point in Lurking Fear we see a sign that points the way to Miskatonic University. Though Haggis is not explicitly from there, it's a fun easter egg.
