Some things about my Lone Wanderer, Kyra Cameron, in between making art:
Very good karma (such a people pleaser; doesn’t harm anyone/steal/lockpick unless absolutely necessary)
G.O.A.T. result was to be a doctor just like James
Hoped she’d be destined to work in the medical field like her father, so she would always watch James and Jonas work as a child
Jonas was definitely like an older brother/another father figure to her, I think I’ve seen a few people also have that idea with their LWs
I think I saw @tunnelsnke reblog something and described her OC Diana and how she has a journal to write/draw in a while ago, and it reminded me of Kyra because she’s like that too, but my internet wouldn’t let me reblog and add that in the tags or comment when it popped up in my feed, so I wanted to add that here 😔
Kyra’s journal is filled with sketches of Capital Wasteland creatures and writings of things/people she’s seen and places she’s been to. It’s like her own little Wasteland Survival Guide as she helps Moira out with her research
Kyra started the journal because, when she left the vault for the first time, it would be something nice to bring back to show everyone what the outside world is like and how to survive
Gets more pessimistic and angry as the main storyline goes on, especially after Trouble on the Homefront
Would lock away any physical memories of Amata and the vault (photos, little gifts, etc) immediately after stepping foot inside the Megaton house so she wouldn’t have to look at her old best friend and be reminded of her betrayal
Wandering into Vault 106 while heading to Vault 112 to find James messed her up for a while, mostly because the hallucinations of the Tunnel Snakes are the only visions who sort of interact with the player in a way
I’d imagine that’d be kinda scary to find while probably sleep deprived, dehydrated, and a bit of radiation poisoning
Due to the “fight” with the Tunnel Snakes in 106, it made her even more wary of Butch and Wally (rip Paul)
After Trouble on the Homefront, Kyra no longer wishes to be associated with Vault 101 but also doesn’t feel like she fully belongs in the Wasteland, so ✨existential crisis✨
When finding Butch in Rivet City, she’s very hesitant to bring him along as a companion (we ignore karma requirements) alongside Charon and Dogmeat but decides to let him join because as much as she hates him for how he treated her and Amata back in Vault 101 and still thinks about Vault 106, she would hate to leave him alone when she could pass down her knowledge of the Wasteland
I love the idea and art of Charon and Butch constantly fighting/arguing when Lone isn’t looking, so it’s like that too
Sometimes all three fight, but it’s always Kyra + Charon vs Butch
Kyra’s distance doesn’t stop Butch from trying to get close because she’s “the best friend he’s ever had” after she saved his mom from the radroaches
Despite that dislike for him, she does keep his jacket because it’s one of the only things she had from the vault when she first left
I also hold the headcanon that Butch was with Lone when they went to Little Lamplight and that’s how MacCready picked up “Tunnel Snakes rule!”
Would go into hiding after the events of the base game and Broken Steel for a while because everyone needs a break before traveling up to the Commonwealth and meeting MacCready again
