I made the whole thing myself and ngl I tend to always think what I crochet isn’t all that special and focus on the little mistakes I did while making it. I forget that to a lot of people, making stuff like this is like super cool.

Can’t stand the texture of different fabrics like velvet? My friend who loves velvet will touch clothes for me when we go thrifting to tell me if it’s one of my bad textures or not.

I told my friends about my whole thing about food texture ratios and being very sensitive if they’re off and they all immediately understood. No questions about me picking at my food to get the texture ratio to where I want it.

We will often hang out as a group and just like parallel play for a few hours. Very enriching and delightful

We infodump to each other all the time, to the point where we do PowerPoint nights regularly and make it a grand event.

I love my friends.

There was this big meeting of everyone in my major (Industrial Design) and apparently my college is shutting down the program in 2029.

Thankfully this doesn’t affect me or my friends at all graduation wise, I’ll graduate next year but fuck man.

It hurts. It feels like a big fuck you from the college. Like our major doesn’t matter.

We’ve always been the major that the college doesn’t seem to give a rat’s ass about anyway, always have been an afterthought at best.

Our budget, if any, was like $7 and a stale corn chip.

I’ve never felt at home much anywhere, always been the weird kid, never fit in. But being an Industrial Designer? I’ve never felt more at home.

It’s the major for misfits and weirdos, most of us are some flavor of neurodivergent. We’re all a bit odd.

Made me feel like I belonged, yk?

Ik it doesn’t affect me degree wise, but- idk it feels like I’m losing someone important.

I’m genuinely gonna mourn this stupid fuckass little program. I’m literally fucking crying as I type this out.

It may have been small, underfunded, and janky as fuck, but it was ours.

Great way to start my first day of the semester, huh?

I’ve got two more semesters after this one and I just feel so- idk, odd continuing to finish my degree knowing the program is getting chopped.

Continuing at the thing the college clearly doesn't and hasn't ever gave a single fuck about.

Makes me feel awful tbh. I love my major sm and knowing its getting cut is gut wrenching to say the least.
