Beautiful eyes

His light green eyes lit up as Elsa said those little three words.

I. Love. You.

Was this a dream? It felt like a dream, but it couldn’t be. He was sure he wasn’t asleep because he remembered waking up this morning…

This is real.

One hundred percent real. Hikaru had never felt his heart swell with such emotion before. His chest soared and yet ached at the same– and he felt like he needed to just scream or something to get the sudden explosion of energy he had out of his body, but he stayed still. His cheeks naturally turned a light shade of red and brighten his complexation.

Quietly, he searched Elsa’s face looking for anything besides a loving look, a joke or something– but all he found was a gentle, sincere loving look.

After a heartbeat, he moved his hands and placed them delicately on Elsa’s face, brushing a stray blonde strand of hair away from her face with one of his claw like fingers.

“I’m so glad… because,” Hikaru leaned closer, closing the little distance left between them. “I’ve loved you since the first day we met,” and then he stole a kiss from her lips.

Her chest no longer felt heavy, it felt like once she realized how long she had loved him, that strange feeling she had had in her chest for a long time suddenly was lifted. She loved him, she was so in love with him, and she had been for so long. Small snowflakes feel slowly around them. She was just so happy she couldn’t stop her magic from showing itself. Though she was sure Hikaru wouldn’t have minded, even a little.

Feeling his finger brush her hair, the feeling on his hands made her feel so warm inside, she smiled, placing one of her hands on top of his own.

Their faces inched closer and closer, and the world around them feel away. Everything feel away, the only thing there was to her, was him and her. He really knew how to push her buttons, all of them. Hearing him speak her eyes widened. He had what?

Her mind suddenly couldn’t process what he said as he stole a kiss from her. Her body instinctively melted into his, her arms moving around his neck as she kissed him back. Her heart, head head, She had wanted this for so long.

I love you.

Hikaru felt his heart flutter and his mouth stretch into a wide smile that kind of hurt his face a bit. The feeling of Elsa’s fingers cold to the touch wrapped around his hand that was so warm. Hikaru had no idea how she could even touch him with the dark red scales decorating his skin and the sharp black nails he sported. A beast like him doesn’t deserve such a wonderful, beautiful woman like Elsa, but somehow he lucked out. The circumstances weren’t exactly the best, and Elsa had many chances to escape but she stayed with him and his monstrous ways throughout the year. He has no idea how she has managed to put up with his rage, fire-breathing, and temperament of a five-year-old.

“Elsie,” Hikaru whispered softly and stared into Elsa’s eyes with such joy. “You make me incredibly happy too. My heart burns for you and only you.” His other dragon and yet human like hand reached out and he placed it securely over Elsa’s fingers. “I love you.”

His smile came at a surprise to her, she had never really seen it before, or at least this big. She could see how it beamed and how genuine it was. He was really happy and that made her happy. Last year when she stumbled into his castle during a battle with the Southern Isle’s, she had promised to stay with him for turning his castle to ice in order to protect herself. He never once smiled this big since she had met him, she was glad she stayed this long now.

Strangely, deep down, even if she wanted to escape, a part of her could never let her. She felt he was the only one who could truly understand her, even if they had fought a lot. But he still had that gentle side that he showed from side to side. Only one part of all of him that she came to care for.

Looking him in the eye, she smiled as he said her name, listening to him. Her heart pounded and her cheeks flushed hearing it all. 

Those three words, those three words her heart wanted to hear but never thought would come. 

“Karu...” she said his name but let it trail off, caught off guard. She snapped out of it suddenly. “I love you.” she said back to him, “I’ve loved you for a long time.”

Elsa looked at at Hikaru hearing his words. He seemed so unsure, like she had almost a year ago. Taking both his hands in hers she smiled at him.

“Karu, if I wasn’t I wouldn’t be here right now. I am so incredibly Happy being here with you.”

Elsa turned her head to look at her younger sister upon hearing her question. Elsa smiled gently at Anna then looked out from where they stood, overlooking Arendelle before turning back to her sister.

“You know, if you would have asked me that a year ago I probably wouldn’t have been able to answer that. But I can say without one doubt in my mind, that I am truly happy here with you. You’re my sister, I will always be happy with you around.”

“I would still be alone and isolated without you.”
