You can enter into contracts, but all of them are voidable under grounds of infancy — except student loans, for some fucking reason.

You can’t leave. Your parents have the right to force you to come back.

My sister has worked in sex trafficking law for around 10 years and a the general pattern is "if they're an adult, they were trafficked by their partner. If they're a child, they were trafficked by their parent". And one of, if not THE biggest way children are trafficked(in the USA at least) is via forced marriage. Up and until 2019, this was legal in every state in the US. It still is in all but I think 8, as of 2025.

My sister drafted and fought for multiple bills to end child marriage in various US states and people fought TOOTH and NAIL against passing them. Because most states, while they allow child marriage, require the parents' consent. The child's isn't necessary, but the parents' is. The idea that parents will always have their child's best interests at heart and always have the last say in anything regarding the child's life is one that many people would not abandon in any way.

I don’t know why people hate fat people so much that they would put themselves through something like this. I don’t really feel hunger signals anymore until my blood sugar is pretty low which isn’t the best way for that. Diabetes medications when you’re relatively healthy is going to do more harm than good.

Hell I would argue in the beginning it was doing more harm than good for me and I am the target audience for these types of meds. And it honestly didn’t help me a lot, although that’s my experience with them.

The thing that helped me the most was insulin. Because my body doesn’t like the insulin it produces naturally, so giving it insulin daily basically turned everything around for me. And it took forever for my doctor and insurance to give me the life saving medication because they considered it a last resort.

Dieting did nothing. Fasting is the only way I could lower my blood sugar reliably and I prefer eating regular meals. Most pills like metformin I had terrible side effects from. I have a hard time working out when I’m tired from the diabetes all the time.

Insulin and a continuous glucose monitor have been the only things that have helped in an impactful way. I’m slowly getting enough energy to exercise again. I can eat IN MODERATION some of my favorite foods again. ( homemade bread my beloved)

Why is insulin considered the last resort when it literally saves lives.

i just spent today feeling so proud of a girl for accepting herself, and feeling grateful that i got the chance to play a part in helping her get there. full of the love involved in "cracking an egg," which is to say helping a fellow sister Live, love herself, become herself. it's the most incredible thing in the world.

and meanwhile, here is britt and her crowd, the harassment "justice" campaign, who are aghast and appalled at just that, a girl helping another girl find herself.

this isn't fucking coercion, as always the "force" in forcefem is never actually about forcing anything, it's about helping, it's about pushing through the fear. you don't fucking know these people, britt, you don't know these people, ridafi14, why the fuck are you acting like you know this is some twisted and sinister plot, a breach of trust. why does it feel "icky" to you for a girl to help another girl live? christ alive, in the post it says "she knows she's trans" but is too afraid to do anything about it. a loving supportive friend willing to help me take that step would've made me transition much faster!! that sort of support and love could have saved the lives of so many of my sisters.
