on nova:

she is not a tardis personified! she's like a tardis in function but her whole story is that she's an attempt to divert or completely destroy all instances of the time wars so shes like. ok

i havent read enough about the time wars but im dipping into all of the extended universe slowly but surely (im a busy bee but im Making Time)

and im still writing it as i learn more but at the moment but basically nova/teacher/clover/professor whatever they call themselves is a truly desperate grasp at forces that should Never have been Messed With (like the master trying to control literal gods, or if someone tried to use the toymaker as a tool), she was Created to reforge reality, every reality.

the first bit of the story is her with deep memory loss discovering herself over her travels- at first around and later with- the doctor (the man who ended the time war of his reality [still reading/listening to eighth doctor stuff so another in progress bit]) and she obviously finds herself gravitating towards his timeline because of her Purpose and her sort of . just projected timeline? fate? not in a red string way but in like. in the massive collection of pie charts of the universe and time, she happens to overlap with him more than most other beings, even if thats a very 2D way of thinking about it all

so yeah she is more like the toymaker, instrumental force, Thing. than like a tardis? but she was also built (not technology, more ... genetically modified? Rebuilt? if theres a line between the two its blurry like a rectangle is a square but a square isnt a rectangle, in any case the phrase 'she was set into action' is probably the most accurate) and im still writing what she actually is and it helps that i get to intentionally be very vague about it as she puts pieces of memory together to figure out what she is and come to her own conclusions

i see her as more of like!!! an old car??? like one other timelords wouldnt expect to see actually Functioning and There on the highway next to them

in terms of like. the civilizations he's (the doctor) touched of Course its ancient feeling because hes the only fuckass madman who interacts with time on such a regular basis in every part of time, so of course some people view his tardis as an ancient entity but in terms of comparing to other timelord's tardis(plural) i think shes just an old model?? i dont think there's anything special about how ancient she is other than her experience travelling compared to literally any other tardis where the timelords have Laws about who can use them and what for

i personally think the other (tardis's tardie tardises tardiss) are a bit snooty and not as alive and doctor-ish as The tardis tends to be described as

anyways back to oc stuff

YES THEY HAVE OUTFITS!!!!!!!!!!! THEY HAVE OUTFITS

nova(1) wears mostly time period fitting clothes so theres nothing super special about what she wears, its just average clothes to fit her person or blend in

teacher(2) when they recover from their regeneration mishap, tends to wear mostly a leather coat they found in the tardis! light casual clothes underneath, usually looking like a Cool substitute teacher or a biker of some sort travelling with the doctor(11) alongside Amelia and Rory, so they kind of stick out a little bit but not as much as the doctor

Clover(3) has a couple different coats (just stealing from the doctor(4) at that point) but mostly wears a casual but pretty-boy button up shirt with dark red suspenders or one of those weapon/adventurer harnesses and midtoned almost khaki but deeper with a bit of red dress pants and dress boots (reminiscent of doctor11)

nova(4) im still making an outfit for!!!!!!! im so excited to finish her design

most of their designs are influenced by the doctor they were "supposed to" travel around, their timelines are shifted around and always kind of feel like theyre just in the wrong time, so im still settling on what nova4 is going to wear as i write her

on catchphrases they do Not have catchphrases but they to have signature faces

you know when in movies people say 'i know that look' but the audience doesnt actually know that look

its like that but the audience actually knows that look, like when a character decides something, when a character's face Falls into something Distinguishable. like 'this character is Feeling right now.'

i included the oh shit and the :( listening face for nova(2) in the last post with a couple notes but every one of their incarnations has a signature Face they pull when things Happen and its silly because they dont know that its happening but everyone else clocks it in the blink of an eye

basically dramatically improved clara's impossible girl but instead of saving the doctor she(genderfluid) saves the people around the doctor and also is Very eternal coded but also built up as a modified time lord but shows up anatomically as human which is WEIRD (i have written so much about it,) they do regenerate like time lords but they dont know How or how many regenerations they have left (I DO. I DO!!!!!) and she is psychic but only Sometimes and can teleport time travel like a human tardis and ok. its . its a lot and theres a Lot more and their story is Very complex (on purpose, i enjoy it as much as i did when i was 12 and theres so much i Haven't written about, it makes me HAPPY.)

ALSO BEFORE YOU JUDGE ME. YES THEIR GIVEN NAME IS NOVA BUT IT MAKES SENSE FOR THE STORY AND I WAS YOUNG WHEN I MADE HER. they go through different names as they find themself so its immediately taken out

everything in her timeline all conviens on the parting of ways but at this point she has No memories and Doesnt Know What's Happened

here is their first(?) incarnation!

(text is not written Prettily but im pretty sure it says "i cant BELIEVE you!!")

i dont have a lot of drawings of her because most of her little adventures dont make sense to her and i don't know how to draw them all in a very Good Way so most of my drawings are of her death ( ... :) she does not travel with the doctor but she does kind of dance around him

during this incarnation she finds out she can human tardis (time/space travel) but only in the doctor's timeline (to be fair she doesnt really think to try anyone else's, but i have a lot of stuff written about this as well, i . i am autistic) and she finds that she has Empathy (a little too much! she is psychic) and wants to save people, she also finds that she has a kind of seer ability (in touch with spacetime as a psychic) so she tries to give people a little longer to say goodbye to their loved ones or , ok there's not a great way to put this but she tries to hide them from the universe (sentient? the thing there are laws about, the thing that cracks, the thing that is fate, the thing that Sees All, the idea of it all, science! magic! everything) to give them just a little more life where she can do so without breaking everything, feeling out the flux in time but in a much more accurate and lenient way than timelords

she doesnt change much about his timeline, he still travels with rose martha and donna, she starts showing up on adventures with him with Midnight! thats where they officially meet, i have the entire rewrite written as if it was in a journal, i also later had the 11th doctor "respond" or make notes in it from his perspective for fun

ok also i said she started showing up on adventures, she is Not consistent and refuses to meet Donna, she disappears on the magic man! what a lady! and from there she jumps around a bit but only shows up when the doctor loses donna and wordlessly kind of takes care of him (i have a picture of it somewhere hidden away in a notebook where she offers him a towel) and then kind of interferes with the mars bit but that is a Lot of writing and mechanics changed and im not talkin about all that rn,

at this point she's still figuring out who she is and her morals and what is Right (interesting time for her to be there while the doctor is also doing the same thing!) but she's also Wildly disoriented and cant remember the majority of what she's been doing

anyways then i Kill Her (she has a thing where she "accidentally" falls into the time war and gets a glimpse of it for the first time, anyways she's in a different control room and set's the tardis coordinated when the doctor regenerates into 11

then he pulls her out of the library! i have a comic thing for it but its so unfinished i think id be the only one who could make any sense of it (the scrawlings of a madman / THE VOICES!/quote)

uh there's a whole story about 11's first episode i actually like this version of her so i have many a drawing about her, kind of halfway through is where i stopped writing as a kid and picked it up so its Better and also i Like It More i also . really Really need to mention that i made this incarnation's original Look in roblox doctor who TARDIS flight simulator and i think that is very real of little me, anyways here's some art of her (also they/them for number 2) (number 1 mostly kept to she her but because there was very little time to do anything other than fuck around to find out) first one is probably the closest ive gotten to what she looks like in my head
