Thoughts.

Right before the weekends, we celebrated Ramyah's 25th Birthday! If you're wondering who she is, she's the Pleasure Team Consultant's Team Leader. She has been at RedRibbon Days almost as long as I have. Ramyah is someone who has definitely grown to be one of my great friends which i was blessed in having the pleasure to know.

So, last Friday, without her knowing, we bought her an assortment of cakes for her birthday because she is the epitome of someone who has a sweet tooth. Undecided which cake we should get and the fear of us wasting cake, we decided to go with 8 types of small slices of cakes! Turns out she liked them all well because all of them contained sugar. Lols. 

Anyways, it was a great end to the Friday. 

I simply cannot wait to blog about this, the moment I got this experience captured on cam and vid. 

I would like to introduce to you our latest addition to our abundant list of experience at RedRibbon Days! I can safely say, everyone WILL enjoy this. It is none other than Flyboarding. Ever heard of it? 

Flyboarding was recently brought into Malaysia and our team couldn't contain our excitement when a gem was found :) Read more about Flyboarding here!

So, on one fine Saturday, the Corporate team (Ming Ne, Keith & I) have decided to give this a go when Ming Ne got this experience as her birthday present.

We went to the Marina at Putrajaya for this, it was a beautiful day! Perfect to soak in some Vit D while we're at it.

Firstly, we were given briefing on the safety measures and techniques to achieve full potential of awesomeness.

After mustering some confidence, Ming Ne volunteered to go first! #withbigshoescomesbigheights Here, you see the instructors strapping her into the flyboard.

Ming Ne decided to get acquainted with the water first :) #backwardturtle

And off she goes! This might look easy but it does take a bit of time to balance yourself in those huge shoes and great water pressure going against you. 

&& it was Keith's turn! The instructors were super awesome at Flyboarding as well (obvsly). No surprise as they go out to the lake every weekend. 

Keith is such a hustler! He makes this look completely easy and effortless. #jelly

I was the appointed photographer and videography for the day but secretly, I was itching to have a go! Another RedRibbon Days experience on my wishlist :)

Christmas is a day away! Cannot get my hands on some turkey *gobble gobble* 

Don't you just love the badass Christmas tree made out of our RedRibbon Days boxes? :)

&& can't wait to find out what my Secret Santa gave me for Xmas this year.. 

At RRD, we don't give tangible gifts for Christmas instead, we create our very own experiences to be gifted to our colleagues. We certainly do things a little different here. 

Last week, I had the privilege in planning this year's Miss Universe Malaysia Charity Day Out sponsored by RedRibbon Days. This also means we get to cuci mata where the MUM(I'll call the Miss Universe Malaysia contestant MUM from herein) graced their presence for this event with their pretty faces and compassionate hearts (from what I learnt after talking to them). We invited the kids from the Lighthouse Children Welfare Home for a day of fun high ropes activity and food with the MUM ladies. 

Early in the morning, we picked up the kids from the home and we could tell that they were super excited for a fun day out! They were all decked in super cute sporty outfits with little water bottles queuing to get into the car, ready for an adventure ahead of them. It was a 45 minute journey to the venue but I managed to have a little chat with the kids about what they would like for Christmas. Most of them answered toys! Some things never change. (I was of course more related to the ones who answered food/candies!) 

Upon arrival, we popped the children behind a UT to bring them into the jungle! 

It does look a bit seedy for us to pop the kids at the back of the UT but they were super excited and it was definitely a crazy experience for them. (It was completely safe & short drive into the jungle)

When we have finally got into the high ropes area, the kids were briefed and taught how to put on their safety gears..

The kids were incredibly attentive and well behaved the whole time!

Shortly after, the MUM ladies arrived! && they went through briefing as well after meeting the children!

They sure look like they are super excited! What a fun bunch of ladies :)

Each MUM was appointed a kid to do this high ropes activity with and I'll just let the photos do the talking for a bit.

Some of the kids were faster and better at this than the MUM ladies! The MUM defo needed to keep up with the kids.

After a fun workout, it was time for FOOD! 

After a time of laughter and full tum tums, it was time for gifts! As you know, RedRibbon Days are huge on gifting and this time we prepared special Christmas goodies for the kids. YAY for early Xmas pressies!

SMILE! 

&& that concluded the day! I had so much fun hanging out with the kids and was surprised at how well behaved all of them were, must defo take them out again! :) 

The MUM ladies were super great as well! I loved the fact that they were so real and funny! Defo not afraid to get down and dirty for a good cause. 

If you do not already know, I work at an experiences gifting company called RedRibbon Days. The one and only in Malaysia. So, one of the perks of working in this company is that I get to see people realizing their dreams with experiences either gifted to them or purchased by themselves. Charlene came up with the brilliant idea to celebrate Halloween this year and it was so much fun! It was nice to see everyone putting in so much effort into dressing up. Some even bought/rented the costumes. So, we've got Hitler in the house, a blood sucking Little Red Riding Hood, a Spanish vixen?, Freddy Krueger, a Chinese Edward Cullen I would presume, a female version of the Phantom of the Opera and last but not least, a Geisha ghost! I was suppose to be Wednesday from the Addams Family who is dead? Anywhoo, we even decorated the meeting room into a haunted dining room where we had our scary luncheon. You can only get this at RedRibbon Days! 

And so the day before my birthday, my colleagues at RedRibbonDays were thoughtful in planning an amazing lunch for me. It has become somewhat of a tradition to have banana leaf rice (curries are largely involved) when its someone's birthday. It was defo a fullfilling meal when it has been said to carry over 4000 calories. *gulp* I always try to console myself by thinking I only have this once in a while so why not. && two weeks later, the weighing scale doesn't even try to lie to me about the weight gain.

So, I just want to brag about my first ever Lomography camera that my lovely bf got for me. It's called the Lomography Fisheye Baby 110. It's literally smaller than the size of my palms! This was totally unexpected which made it even more of an awesome birthday gift. Now, with this I can truly call myself a hipster. Ah kids!  I'm excited to play around with different coloured films. I know right, films. Cannot remember the last time I went to the photo shop to develop me some photos. 

Can you believe that the rim of the lens is actual gold? 48grams it says. If I ever get broke, I can resort to yanking that piece out to buy me some fries at McDonalds. Hur hur.
