I've been using Vimm's Lair for years, I have yet to see a single bad link or virus on the entire site. It's arguably the safest and most comprehensive archive of video games in existence. Preserved history

For those unaware, Vimm's Lair videogame 'vault' has been closed off from public use for a while. The archive still exists but it is of limited use for people who want to play the games themselves. Other videogame ROMs sites have also been taken down. It's a pretty depressing time to be a videogame enjoyer on a budget.
