Is it just me, or was anyone else wondering why Sammy’s family isn’t speaking to her anymore? It can’t be because she’s gay, I mean her dad was clearly happy when he saw Sammy with Yaz, plus Yaz stayed on the ranch with them for a while. We saw it in the time skip at the end of JWCC. I was hoping at some point it’d be mentioned a little more but it wasn’t. I hope S2 will bring it up a little more, but it really makes you wonder.

Also. Darius was so sassy in this. I lowkey stan him and want more. His facial expressions were priceless as well lmao.

WHAT IF I JUST ENDED IT ALL!?

She’s not just a side character anymore. Not to mention Plagg chose her to become her temporary holder. If not for the fact of her nightmares causing her to doubt her ability(Which is such a nice touch because she’s almost always confident in herself), she would’ve been a temporary black cat miraculous holder(Slightly bitter we didn’t get that lol). Not to mention, Tikki specifically chose Alya to take the place of Ladybug, she was given the choice and she chose Alya. Which, to be fair, Alya had already handled the LB miraculous and was aware on how the powers worked, but still, she could’ve chosen anyone and she chose Alya.

In the Trailer, they had this scene. I can assume that this is after Marinette told Alya she is Ladybug. The focusing on Marinette makes sense, but it’s the focusing on Alya that set off an alarm bell. Maybe I desperately reaching for some Alya content, but still. Im wondering if Alya is going to play a major part in this special. I mean, her alternate universe counterpart obviously is.

Alt Alya is obviously this character. I have no clue if this character is Hesperia because I believe a “good version” of Gabriel was shown in the trailer. But this might be Hesperia. We can see Alt Alya being Akumatized into what I believe is this character. Now, Hesperia might not be Gabriel, it might be Alya, but Gabriel gives her the akuma to become Hesperia. Hesperia is a Greek name that means “evening” or “evening star”. Alt Alya has clearly gone for a more Galaxy themed look.

Now this scene right here had me concerned that Alt Alya may be sided with Shadybug and Claw Noir(?). But you can see she has a struggle on her face as she’s preforming whatever this is and plus

We can also see that Alt Nino(Easily recognizable by the beanie instead of the hat) is seemingly put into danger or being targeted by Shadybug and Claw Noir. So I believe if Alya is Hesperia or a regular citizen recruited by Hesperia, that Nini was targeted due to being close to Alya or him knowing too much. If it was just because he knew too much. It’s probably likely that Hesperia(If it i Hesperia is a good version of Hawkmoth) has given her these abilities to help get her ban back or whatever. However if Alt Alya is evil(I hope not because she looks so cool), then maybe it was all a set up.

However, based on the first ever imagine we got of her, I doubt she’s is the villain because I have a feeling if she was, they’d want to present her as more threatening looking instead of almost heroic. But they may be going the deceptive route.

Luz’s dad looks like the goofiest and funniest guys to be around. He looks like the kind of dad that when your mom wasn’t home, would stay up and let you play on your game on the condition he could play too. He seems like one of those husbands who you can’t stay mad at. I have a feeling Luz gets a lot of traits from her father. He also seems like the extremely clumsy type. He reminds me of that Tiktok sound, “Ivan, how’d you bag a baddie? How’s you bag that baddie? I didn’t bag shit.” I hope we get to see more about him. Maybe flash backs or something.. I want at some point for Amity to ask Luz to tell her(Amity) about her(Luz’s) father. I’m kinda mad he’s dead. I would’ve loved to see her dad with Vee and Camilla. I think if he was there, Camilla would’ve never tried to send Luz to camp.

Also another thing I adored about this episode. Was the way they made a Luz and Amity episode. Not a Lumity episode, but a Luz and Amity episode.. Where both characters, had their own part in the plot that didn’t involve each other. For Amity it was winning the belt and for Luz it was the grief of losing her father.

But, the Lumity in this episode was amazing.

This scene made me feel so single. Also, Luz and her weak nerd arms don’t work anymore. She just so casually spins Amity around like no issue. Luz’s face at the end too, she’s so head over heels for Amity.

Everyone who was saying “Luz is a boring main character” “Luz has no real dept” Get the fuck out of here and never come back.

I loved Luz from day one. She is and still is one of my favorite characters. It wasn’t really until this episode, that I realized how much trauma she had. She not only has trauma from being shunned in the human realm, but he dad being dead on that IN ADDITION TO THE SHIT SHE’S FACED IN THE BOILING ILSES. The girl can’t catch a break :(.

And when she tells Amity.. Amity’s face. It’s so raw and realistic. I don’t have a screen shot but you get the idea. You can see the pain and empathy Amity was feeling towards Luz.

I predicted this too. Not her dad being dead(I feel horrible because I was shitting on her dad too) but that Luz wouldn’t open up about her trauma. Which in the end she did, but in the beginning she didn’t.

I like that Luz said, “Maybe I was jealous.” And not. “You’re so lucky to have your dad.” Because that’s the approached a lot of shows go, but The Owl House didn’t. They pointed out Luz didn’t know why she did it.. It could’ve been she was jealous, or just trying to distract herself..

I love TOH very very much. But I’ve never in my life had a show punch me in the emotional gut and me love it. I’ve had books do it, but never shows. And I love it.
