What do you think of armand?
not to reference 2x05 donβt be afraid just start the tape, but i do actually consider armand (both in the books and in the show) to be one of the most fascinating characters of all time
heβs endured centuries of trauma, heβs complex and contradictory, he harms others but his motivations for doing so are always layered and donβt simply stem from a desire to do evil, his relationships with the other vampires are simultaneously fun and tragic, and he has like 3 million bizarre hobbies
also heβs one half of my favorite ship, devilβs minion, so im super biased in his favor. like their chapter in qotd is the absolute peak of human-vampire relationships as well as just being insanely romantic. like reading about armand from danielβs perspective chemically altered something in my brain
in conclusion, im obsessed with him

Iβm actually obsessed with the fact that lestat calls Daniel βDanβ because it really just highlights to me how Armand calling him βMr. Molloyβ was definitely an attempt at creating some sort of emotional distance between them, and not calling attention to their past. my dm pilled brain goes wild thinking about it
(Armand had to call him that so he wouldnβt slip up and call him beloved jk haha unlessβ¦)

Look, the Mr. Molloy thing has aaaaalways driven me crazy. Daniel literally tells us in 2.5 about paying attention to syntax and language as a chicken exit (which he then ironically uses that whole episode, every time he refers to Armand as "your boyfriend" instead of his name) so it's absolutely not a reach to think about it! They WANT us to think about it!
NOW HE'S GONNA CALL HIM DANIEL, AND THEN BELOVED! (But I'm sure he'll still whip out Mr Molloy in bed from time to time)

I love that Eric is as chronically online as the rest of us, it adds a layer of russian roulette and immersion to it all. Yeah I can talk about how awkwardly making eye contact for two seconds with Assad might make me melt into my shoes like a cartoon character or how Iβd follow Eric into the back of an unmarked van but Actual Daniel Malloy might find me and tell on me.
