Started the fic about Daniel and Armand having a baby!

- Daywalker Daniel!!! I'm surpused he was able to shut up about it when he interviewed them in the beginning. (Also Armand my love, he looks so awkward, I want to wrap him in a thousand blankets)

- Lestat having a panic attack after the reveal almost triggered a panic attack of my own. Not ideal. Him instantly vomiting too? Poor dear. Somebody kill Gabriella please I beg of you.

(-> It really goes to show that he knows it's wrong, he knows and he can't get her to stop because she still holds all the power over him despite being her Maker)

- Also "A week of notice, then everybody will be over it." LOUIS what world do you live in???

- that's fucked up, esp the slave comments like damn. (I don't really have anything eloquent to say here. It's just supremely fucked and kinda feels like a demonization of Claudia. Who while we know her to be a person to deal with people when they're in the way... idk I don't think she would lie about the train to get Louis on her side or call him a slave. It felt icky.)

-> that being said. If it was Claudia and not some angry wraith version of her that just says everything that will hurt Louis and Lestat (which is what Merrick implies in the book but also ppl think she just said that to spare Louis' feelings) then: GIVE HER MADELEINE OR I SWEAR I WILL HUNT DOWN EVERY LAST FUCKER RESPONCIBLE!

- Really a non-reaction to Claudia's rage and words man. They're just talking, not seeming to feel any grief or anger. And then instantly go back to Loumanding (which Claudia specifically points out over and over and over again. It was never about her.) Kinda sucks.

- WHAT?!?!??!

- God Daniel, Armand and Alex. Two papa vampires and their fucked up fledgeling son 😔.

Yeah that was it, those were the thoughts. Overall I did really enjoy this episode. Esp Daniel getting to put his fingers in more and more mess.

They're really hammering on the "it was never about me" bit with Claudia. Around every turn we see that it really truly wasn't, still isn't. Louis's whole "what about the thing you should thank me for?" Plus yknow, what he's been up to this season and honestly the entire show, back that up.

It was always about Louis and Lestat.

And I'm not saying they never cared about her. She was their daughter for a very long time. But I think over the years she kinda became more of a tool? For their own self-hatred and destruction.

And they stopped caring about her as a person, and only cared about the personification of her grief.

So unwell, I hit my dad with a pillow like 20 bilion times, anyway I kept my thoughts in my notes app to prevent myself from exploding, here's what I got:

Episode 3:

- oh god the "i love you lestat" was as painful as i thought it would be, i keep having to remind myself that this is Lestat's pov and that the actual events lie somehwre between what armand said and what lestat claims happend... still

- vamp nicky, the unhinged

- wait why the fuck did they not let armand cut off his hands 🥺 that's like his whole thing

- ah at least he got to kill him

- dirty dirty trick on Lestat's part, i do wonder what Daniel might do with his hatred

Episode 4:

- look up what lestat says to daniel about his turning, idk if that weird cut was intentional or a fuck up of recording software

- lestat calling out Armand in the fucking crowd, i swear to god lestat, be kind to him.

- Not Lestat calling Armand boss infront of Daniel and daniel following him

- somebody call 911, i'm having a bit of a heart attack

- i'm so cool and chill rn, i'm so cool, so chill, "but it was love" of course, of course it was, yeah, cool,cool,cool, right.

- hey, hey lestat, don't do it, don't make another fledgeling, i know you want to, but don't do it, it's okay, you don't have to

No TVL for me for 2 weeks.

And then Gabriella can compliment both Louis and Daniel and make Lestat all annoyed and hurt.

After watching the first ep I have an INTENSE urge to draw Armand with a pretty flower eyepatch like:

And flowers in his hair maybe... maybe covered in blood.

But I have to go to sleep like the mental image won't keep me mercilesly awake.

On a side note:

Couldn't choose what I liked more.

It's inspired by Edward Poynter's 'Orpheus and Eurydice' (1862).

In my mind's eye as I was drawing this I imagined Daniel as the ever eager Orpheus, dragging his lover through the depths of their past in order to make sense of it all whilst Armand, the fumbling Eurydice is struggling to let himself be dragged along, back into the cold and dark where he's known and seen, but ultimately vulnerable and not in control.

The tapes a trail of memories Daniel must follow. The city behind them, Pompeii, their final destination.

You can rip Trans Daniel and Claudia from my cold dead hands. I know a lot of people HC Armand as hypersexual but I'm ace and he's my he/him nonbinary ace blorbo now, I don't make the rules. Pan! Genderfluid! Lestat!!! Louis as THE homosexual.

I love these characters and they've helped me endure a really rough time, giving them pieces of who I've been or the people I've loved feels like giving them something in return.

as for claudia, maybe she and madeline are still around but since they’re much older than her baby siblings and cousins, they just drop by every so often like the cool lesbian aunts? idk i trust your vision

Okay! I finally made my way back to my computer and drawing tablet! Huzzah!

I think if this actually takes place in the OID AU that means Claudia is 100% dead. BUT, it's also my AU and I can make as many little off-branch AU's as I want.

So in this little branch of the AU Lestat helped Claudia and Madelaine escape (like his one good deed as a parent) but Louis was already in the wall by that point and so later Armand lies to him about it so that Louis won't spend his whole life searching for her.

Eventually all is revealed and Claudia becomes Leo's Sister/Aunt, he calls her Tiya (that's all he could say when he was a baby "clauTiya").

This started as 1 sketch of Pregstat and quickly spiraled out of control.

I can almost imagine Loustat moving in next door to Armandaniel and having constant chaos and open doors.

Hope this satisfies some pregstat cravings as well as a second DM baby.
