remember that time society made you assume you were straight
requested by: anonymous
Bisexual person in a relationship with someone of a different sex: I'm not straight, I'm bisexual
Gay community: you're only saying that because you want to be a part of the Gay Club, you don't belong with us, you're basically just a straight person anyway
Bisexual person in a relationship with someone of the same sex: I'm not gay I'm bisexual
Gay community: why do you feel the need to clarify that? You just want to be one of the straight people, you just want to reassure them that you're Not That Gay, you don't belong with us
Rough Day
just had a really rough day, if you follow the blog you might know I am trans but can not transition... So because of that I try to suppress my "trans identity" if you will but some days it's unbearable where I work there are a lot of one way mirrors (I work in a prison) --- normally when I'm looking through my eyes I just acknowledge I am a man.. Every part of me I see is a mans body etc... But when I see myself in a mirror it's like a shock! It's sickening, it makes me angry, it makes my heart hurt... The reflection I see is not me. I can see somewhere deep underneath there might be someone similar.. But I'm not a female... And I want to just go to sleep and not wake up. Maybe I'm speaking from exhaustion. But then maybe I'm exhausted a lot

Final Changes to First-in-the-Nation Legislation Actually Broadens Scope of Bill's Discrimination
A Tennessee bill that will allow therapists and counselors to legally refuse service to LGBT people is now headed to GOP Gov. Bill Haslam. On Monday lawmakers in both chambers agreed to a change in HB 1840 that actually broadens the scope of the billâs discriminatory nature.
The original bill allowed mental health professionals as well as unlicensed therapists and counselors to use âa sincerely held religious beliefâ to deny service to anyone. The Times Free Press reported Monday night lawmakers have changed that language to âsincerely held principles,â thus expanding the reasons someone seeking help could legally be refused.
No other state has passed this kind of legislation.
GOP State Senator Jack Johnson has been on national television defending his bill. He blames the American Counseling Association for changing its standards in 2014, barring therapists from refusing service based on sincerely held religious beliefs or sincerely held principles.
As NCRM reported last week after lawmakers in both the House and Senate had passed the bill, the legislation is particularly onerous for LGBT people in Tennessee. Of its 6.5 million residents overall, nearly one-quarter live in rural areas, where access to mental health professionals can be especially limited. While the bill states a therapist must provide a referral if they refuse service, itâs not only possible, but likely, another therapist willing to help an LGBT person could be hours away.
Worse, for young LGBTQ people with limited access to both insurance and transportation, the results literally could be deadly. An LGBTQ child or teen who needs help could be turned away and not be able to get to a therapist willing to treat them if their office is miles away, and their parents are unwilling to help. Many LGBTQ children and teens, already four times more likely to attempt suicide, fear being thrown out of their homes if parents learn they are LGBTQ.
Itâs unknown if Gov. Haslam will sign the bill.
they see us as a mental illness and but then take away our ability to see mental health professionalsâŚ
heteros please explain the logic
Easy to explain. They want us dead. If they can increase the likelihood that we canât treat our depression, anxiety, and dysphoria, they increase the likelihood that weâll just kill ourselves and save them the trouble.
Especially since Tennessee already sucks so bad with regard to getting health insurance if youâre poor/disabled. There are hardly any mental health providers that even take the cheapest insurances here, and to make it worse Tennessee decided not to expand Medicaid, so thereâs a certain income range that canât afford Obamacare (and canât receive government discounts to afford it) AND doesnât qualify for TennCare.
I was in this situation a while back. I did without. Now, I have the cheapest possible Obamacare insurance and my therapist is an hour and a half away. If he turned me away, the next closest qualifying therapist would be considerably further.
Iâm an adult and this makes me think twice about coming out to my mental health providers. This will out kids to whoeverâs paying their bills and then leave them without care.
Theyâll âprovide a referral,â if they refuse us, but I donât believe it and it makes no difference anyway if theyâre just going to refer us is to some clinic hours away. This bill is deadly, and is meant to be.
Thereâs a petition to veto the bill, for what good it will do.

Attention Women
If Uber has ever made you feel uncomfortable or if you heard of or personally experienced sexual assault while using Uber, consider Chariot for Women.
Chariot for Women is very similar for women but it is strictly for women (and boys under the age of 13) and all the drivers are women. There are many security features established such as the driver must confirm their identity before every drive and there is a safe word given to the driver and passenger.
Also 2% of each fare is donated to women-focused charities.
The app is being released on April 19. I strongly consider everyone to check it out.

ok but is it for trans women too or
THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!
Fact #281: There is no one ârightâ or âwrongâ way to be trans. You canât be, and you wonât be, exactly the same as every other trans person. Every trans person is unique. Every trans person has different experiences. So please donât think of yourself as ânot really transâ or ânot trans enoughâ just because youâre not exactly the same as other trans people.
and not everyone has the ability to be like other trans people.. via money, opportunity or safety
Oh Caitlyn Jenner
Okay even if these quotes are genuine:
The trans community literally has NO GRACE for their own people.. It disgusts me. They are like a swarm of coyotes waiting to pounce. Caitlyn is literally BRAND NEW to the trans community even though she has obviously been trans her whole life. She was raised highly conservative and YES she is right⌠When the world sees a masculine person in a dress they are uncomfortable⌠THOUSANDS OF TRANS PEOPLE ARE KILLED EVERY YEARâŚ. Give her grace damn it. Caitlyn is an amazing person and she is learningâŚ

/personal being forced to masturbate so I stop being sexual with everyone /post porn why is this my life
Go ahead and read the whole thing.. It offers hope for transgender people but just at the last second it ends the article with transphobic/trans hate. I REALLY hope one day soon this will be a reality, but the bias is so messed up. Honestly.

Pre T vs 1 year and 9 months on T
People fail to realize just how terrifying it is to be transgender (or nb).Â
1) The murder statistics, seriously trans people are being murdered weather you want to believe it or not. Do you know how fucking scary it is to read that someone is targeting people like you, and not only do they hate you because of who you are, but they want to hurt you so badly that you could possibly never be identified because of how messed up they made you during a murder
2) itâs not just the straights guys, the LGB+ community has transphobes in it, and it pisses me off. I complained about something, but said I would probably never get the surgery because it hurts and because I wouldnât have enough money and he said âthis is why people think transboys are whiny babiesâ I had another guy say âoh the only reason i started talking to you is because i thought you were a boyâ and when i responded that i was a trans boy, therefore a boy, he told me that he didnât want to talk to girls and he blocked me. Iâve seen multiple occasions where lesbians didnât want to date transwoman because of âthe dick issueâ and people completely ignore the feelings of trans people
3) dating in general! I was talking to some guy before I was in a relationship, and I told him I was trans not long after we began talking and he gave me a long lecture about how I had been âleading him onâ or another thing is that people just donât accept dating people because they have âthe wrong partsâ
4) Suicide!!!!!!!!! PEOPLE MAKE LGBT PEOPLE FEEL LIKE SHIT EVEN BY ACCIDENT, BUT SOME PEOPLE ARE SO IGNORANT THAT THEY SAY EVEN WORSE SHIT TO TRANS PEOPLE AND WHEN THEY BECOME SUICIDAL IâVE SEEN PEOPLE SAY THAT THEIRÂ âBODY ISSUESâ ARE MADE UP AND THAT THEY SHOULD KILL THEMSELVES BECAUSE THEY ARE ATTENTION SEEKERS. THIS HAPPENS TO GAYS TOO YES I GET IT BUT TRANS SUICIDE RATE HAS SKYROCKETED
5) Family. Yes this happens with gay people too, but a lot of trans people get kicked out, abused, or unaccepted.
6) Sexual assult. Look up the statistics some time, but I know people who have gotten sexualy assulted after coming out.
7) SCHOOL. When i go to school i have a group of friends who use my name, and two teachers that iâm thankful for, but that doesnât stop your dead name being constantly used. Imagine telling someone âhey my name is Bobâ and every time people see you they say âoh hey there Brittneyâ âHey Joe!â âHey Kalebâ âHey Jessicaâ or another name, and no matter how many times you tell them, they canât get it right
8) Bathrooms and Lockerrooms. Itâs gotten to the point where I wait till iâm home to go to the bathroom anymore. I hate people seeing me go into the girlâs locker room, i hate them seeing me go into the girls bathroom, and honestly it feels wrong. People see you and either go âoh thatâs a girlâ or âOMG A BOY IS GOING INTO THE GIRLâS BATHROOMâ but then if you go to the boyâs bathroom you get âWTF WHY IS A GIRL IN HERE?! GET OUTâ or âokay why is that guy not using a urinal?â or something along the lines of that. (unless youâre MTF then itâs the other way around)
Thank you to trans inclusive supporters because Iâm fucking scared of life and thatâs not how it should be
