someone apologized to me today for something cruel they did to me years ago. idk how to feel about it. It really fucked me up and confused me at the time. i hate remembering. it broke my perception of them completely and i still feel resentful towards them for it even now, i can never feel truly safe around them again like i used to. i made sure to tell them that. I know they care for me and i care for them and i know eventually i’ll forgive them but things will never be the same. It brought me a lot of clarity back then, and now it brings a lot of closure too i guess
