Guy who writes one fic per MCR show

i was tagged by @505sunshine , thank you for the tag!! The below is an excerpt from the next chapter of Angels of Neon and Garbage.

 “Where are we going?” X-Ray whispered frustratedly as the sun settled in the sky. Any moment now, the City would come to life; or at least the half-life that animated it, and turned it into a zombie shambling after the desert’s brains, looking to infect the Killjoys with its conformity, its mundanity.

“We should be halfway back to the Zones right now.” Vulture agreed. “Or on the hunt for the Fab Four.”

Raptor didn’t turn to face them, stepping into an alleyway. “I told you we’re done with that. The Fab Four can get themselves killed. It’s not our business now.”

“Why the hell not?!” Vulture complained hushedly, watching Raptor start to climb the chainlink fence there. “Party, at least, needs to die.”

“They killed Vanity.” X-Ray said forcefully. “Aren’t we supposed to fight for what’s ours?!”

Raptor dropped down onto the ground on the other side. “Speaking of what’s ours, have you forgotten that we left Val around here? You want we should leave him to go killing?”

Vulture huffed but said nothing, starting the climb over the fence himself. He liked Val Velocity. He was a cute kid with a good fire, and Vulture knew he’d grow up good.

Perhaps an excerpt involving the Fab Four would be more exciting but this was the least spoiler-y section so this is what I went with.
