There's about a good portion of the people who try to comment under my posts and talk about it who don't actually know or read anything and I delete the comments. I don't care if you're not a trans man talking about transandophobia, as long as you actually read up on it and everything, then you've done your due diligence. Same with pretending to read it, I don't care about you and I can tell you didn't actually read anything.

St-Dionysus' post about coining transandophobia is where you need to start.

Nothorses has an entire pined post/link board talking about trans masculine theory.

Genderkoolaid is also another person who has a whole pined post talking about anti-transmasculinity.

Pocket-deer-belly and their ilk is popular enough to be getting voiceovers on YouTube shorts and it's so annoying. I've seen him, Pladios, Byjove and plenty of others get so much attention and it's so... It's taking a toll on my mental health, I can't escape them. People can't understand/see how damaging these people are and it feels like I'm going insane.

these are two entirely contradictory lines of logic, but they lead to the same conclusion. because the conclusion is the point. its a backformed theory of gender. people believe, for whatever reason, that "trans guys have it easier" is an objective fact, and then storytell an explanation for why that is that sounds right to them. and this isn't necessarily something that's done maliciously, which is key. its not about people twiddling their fingers and thinking about how to contribute to a massive conspiracy against transmascs. its about people just feeling, on a gut level, that trans guys must have it easier, by which they really mean, transmasculine suffering isn't socially visible, and it isn't natural for me to imagine it, therefore it must not exist; yet, trans suffering in general clearly exists, so there must be some reason that transmasculine suffering feels so abstract and immaterial to me and others.

‘Oh yes, you do experience a valid intersectional form of oppression - but you’re just so fucking stupid, that you’ve chosen a terrible word to articulate your experiences. So we aren’t going to listen to anything you say! You’re just so silly and stupid, you can’t possibly be trusted to articulate your own thoughts and experiences, let alone be trusted to do your own research. In fact, don’t even think or talk at all! Leave all the thinking and talking to the smart people whose suffering actually matters.

Also, no your experiences aren’t unique at all, negating the previous statement of you experiencing a valid intersectional form of oppression’

The tone of voice is no different than when people try to manipulate trans men into detransitioning - overly sweet, infantilizing and concerned while also being incredibly backhanded and demeaning

It's a double standard that needs to die. Many, many trans men, mascs, enbies, and intersex folks have a uterus and ovaries and are extremely impacted by things like reproductive laws and the need for gynecological care, and they have every fucking right to talk about it without being told they're misgendering themselves.

If it's not misgendering for someone to talk about their penis and the need for prostate checks, why the fuck is it misgendering to talk about their uterus and ovaries?

I have never seen someone get up in arms about a trans woman going to a proctologist "invading men's spaces" but I sure have seen hundreds of posts about trans men going to the gyno "invading women's spaces."

you look inside and the trans men and transmascs being “welcomed with open arms” are being misgendered, abused, pushed towards detransitioning, and the ones that are seen as too masculine to be treated as women-lite are being kicked out of the space the same as trans women

It seems that the motion to delete Discrimination against transgender men was struck down on the basis that the user who suggested the article be deleted was doing so simply because she didn't like that the article existed.

Do not go and harass that user. I don't think anyone has thus far but making it clear, do not do this. As I understand it, she may be prevented from making edits on gender-related articles in the future due to her conduct here. I think, given her transphobic actions, that is fair. Nobody need do anything else.

In the meantime, if you have the time, please consider helping to improve the article or keep an eye on it to remove vandalism. There's terfs every now and again who change every instance of trans men in the article to "biological women". So the more eyes on this page to tackle that the better.

Trans men/mascs: That’s not true, you’re just transphobic. We do experience a unique intersection of oppression that is often erased and overlooked, but that doesn’t mean trans women are the ones oppressing us. Stop speaking over us.

TRFs: I can’t believe all of these transandrobros are saying they’re oppressed by trans women. OBVIOUSLY it’s the other way around and trans men are the privileged ones oppressing trans women

Trans men/mascs: It doesn’t seem like you’re listening to what we actually said. No trans person has gendered privilege over others, we’re just tired of being spoken over and having our unique struggles downplayed and erased. Transmisogyny and transandrophobia are both real and bad and we should be working together in solidarity, not playing oppression olympics.

Some rando who heard a secondhand account of “transmasc vs. transfem” discourse: omg why are you all so obsessed with infighting?? this entire discourse is stupid, everyone involved needs to touch grass instead of fighting about who has it worse! stop playing oppression olympics and work together!

there is this odd sort of plausible deniability that is happening these days because references to things that make trans men physically dysphoric is not widely seen as an issue, (because if we take issue with it we are just upset about being ‘emasculated’ and are not trans people with dysphoria. obviously.) and that leads to people talking about us in explicitly transphobic ways with minimal to zero push back.
