An American musician, singer and songwriter. He was known for performing in the Allman Brothers Band. Allman grew up with an interest in rhythm and blues music, and the Allman Brothers Band fused it with rock music, jazz, and country. He wrote several of the band's most popular songs, including "Whipping Post", "Melissa", and "Midnight Rider". Allman also had a successful solo career, releasing eight studio albums

A number of compositions, including "St. Thomas", "Oleo", "Doxy", and "Airegin", have become jazz standards. Rollins was often called "the greatest living improviser". Rollins was the last survivor of the 57 jazz musicians depicted in the 1958 photograph A Great Day in Harlem.

Busch last competed full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Richard Childress Racing and part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado RST for Spire Motorsports. Busch was the younger brother of 2004 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series champion Kurt Busch.

An American musician best known as a founding member, guitarist, and one of the lead vocalists of the country rock group Dr. Hook (formerly Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show). Although he sang lead on several of the band's later hits, the group's primary lead vocalist during its classic era was Ray Sawyer.
