Really fucking tired of seeing Conor McGregor’s face all over social media this morning. I don’t care that he lost. He never should have fought again. The man raped a woman so brutally that her tampon had to be surgically removed afterward. A paramedic who examined the victim, Nikita Hand, said at the trial the marks that covered Nikita’s neck, arms, breasts and butt were some of the worst bruising the paramedic had ever seen. McGregor was convicted in civil court after less than 6 hrs of deliberation and was ordered to pay Nikita’s medical and legal expenses (1.5M). When he tried to appeal, a three-judge panel said he had no grounds to do so. When he tried to go to the Supreme Court, they also rejected him. He’s a rapist. He should never get another sponsorship deal or podcast invitation or fight card. His name should be erased from public consciousness unless it’s spoken with disgust. “Rape accusations ruin the accused life!!!” Bullshit. Rape convictions don’t even ruin a man’s life. If he’s entertaining enough, rich enough, or powerful enough, a man can do whatever the hell he wants to a woman and plenty of people will look the other way at best and continue to worship him at worst.
