what languages do you speak? Do you have just one first language/language spoken when you were little? Multiple? Do you still speak them? How about ones you learned later? Are you fluent? that sort of thing

I’ll start! My first language is English, but I’ve been learning Spanish for five years and counting and I consider myself mostly fluent (not native level by any means but I can read/listen/write/speak well enough, and my abilities there aren’t much worse than in English, though my vocabulary is definitely less robust). I know a bit of French from my mom and middle school, and can figure some other things out à la Spanish. I can also swear in six languages (I don’t but I could lol)

despite being born into an ARABIC family, and into an ARABIC country, english is my first language!! and arabic is my 2nd but im fluent at both :] i wanna learn spanish and japaneesseeeee.....

Haha, um, I speak Spanish and English, plus a tiny bit of italian! (When I say tiny I mean MINISCULE.)

Spanish was the language spoken in my family as a kid! It was so I'd learn Spanish at home, and English at school! My dad speaks italian from his time in rome, though.

With italian, not really.

Mostly??? Fluent in English and somewhat in spanish, not at ALL in italian

So I'm fluent in Polish and English, I also know bits of German from school and stuff but I'm not really good with it, I also know bits of Japanese but it's really bad, wanted to learn it before but I'm too lazy and forgetfull to get into a learning rutine

My first language was Polish and af for English I'm within the language learning journey for about 9 years already

My parents wanted me to learn german when I was little cause I'm half german myself but it's cause of my dad's work and I don't have any family there so there wasn't much pressure and I've never actually learned it

I'm fluent in French (first language) and English, I speak a bit of Spanish and I'm learning Italian, I also know hiragana + some katakana and kanji (so in Japanese), I'm planning to learn Swedish and Russian even if for now I only know some words, and right now I'm learning French Sign Language ! Next year I might start a local language too, and I think that's all ? I plan to learn more but for now that's already a lot. Oh also I knew how to read Wingdings at some point even if that's not a language

I fluently speak Ukrainian (first language), Russian (first-ish language? A lot of people spoke it around me so I never had to go out of my way to learn it) and English (what even is "all the faith he had had had had no effect on his life").

I've been trying to learn German but gave up really quickly, so I can only say a couple of phrases. Might try again. I can also kind of stumble through a few sentences in BSL

Maybe I'll try to learn other languages in the future, but only this for now

Currently, I want to get back into the languages I learned in childhood, especially ASL. I also want to get into Latin and Malay because why not lololol. (Malay because I wanna study in singapore)

my second was polish, i lived in poland from ages 3-5 but i have since forgotten the entire language. not a single thing stuck with me

my third is english, after poland my family moved to the states so i grew up here so im fluent in english !

i took spanish in middle school so i know a bit of the grammer and i can say a few things but like that hardly counts.

and im taking french in high school! i took one year so far so i wouldnt say im conversational cuz i havent had enough of it memorized but i know grammer a bit kinda badly 👍👍

i also know a feww words in ukrainian but really not all thet much in the grand scheme if thing :/// genuinely im losing my first language and i never knew my native one this is Bad

all in all, i can speak english fluently, russian not too well, and i can understand a small bit of ukranian and french
