So I believe that during chapter 13 of kaiju no.8 the game, the entire build up of the chapter was Kafka overworking himself and his body in the dimensional gates right?

I think I know why 🤣🤣

So like the entire time he's saying things like "I have to do this." "I can't stop now" While he is VISIBLY hurting himself with the transition energy.

However, while this is happening, he is still keeping that positive go lucky attitude to his batch mates and friends to keep them motivated. This is where the lines "Now you're here I feel much more energetic!" From a lot of the other officers he talks to makes sense! He's trying to keep everyone motivated and on task in order to kill the vanguards.

I believe that the majority of Kafka's mindset being; he has to push himself to the brink. Is rooted in the fact he always pulls other down.

In every single chapter, he has been told to hold back and not transform unless told to do so. And letting the others protect him. This is where his insecurities lie! He can't let others do things for him because he feels like dead weight. He already knows the extent of his kaiju and how he had to prove himself. But he's still trying to show he can be helpful. This inevitably leads to his downfall and submitting to Kaiju A's will.

I also theorise this was apart of Kaiju A's plan all along! Banking on the fact Kafka would step in some way or another after witnessing his resistance to his power in Dubai. I'm not quite sure what Kaiju A was trying to do in Dubai. But it's DEFINITELY related to why he needs/takes him during chapter 13.

I don't think Kafka was the target from the very start but he was definitely noticed and Dimensional Kaiju A (or DKA) included him in its plan to take over the next world. Probably bc the other kaiju (1, 2, 6 and the plant one) were before Kafka became 8 and we haven't seen 9 as a dimensional kaiju so DKA might not know of his existence until then. OR wasn't sure if he was there until the defeat of dimensional number 6.

I have a lil theory that DKA is actually a version of Meireki Kaiju that either absorbed either a kaiju with ability to travel dimensions or a combination of different absorbed kaiju might have resulted in this ability.

It might be interested in gaining more transitional energy and establishing new, permanent portals to new worlds is the key to it. Opening those 7 giant portals could have been a ploy to weaken the enemy since it seems to know of CLOZER (just being aware someone/something is resisting). I wouldn't be surprised it kinda figures that those pesky humans always try to push back and tiring them as much as possible is The Way.

Either way this definitely is leading to interesting possibility for chapter 14 and maybe even 15.

Do they hurt him?

I have a good prediction that Reno will help Kafka (+new variant) because Reno was going mad after he felt he wasn't doing enough and overworking himself! It's like Reno's gonna do the same thing Ihauru did for him!! I would LOVEEE THAT!

Anyway Kaiju A better get explained BC so far he's a Big Anomaly to me...

I just imagine after Kafka awakens the full power of the samurai and they decide (or were forced by Isao LMAO) to stay with Kafka he gets like a whole audience giving him the most outdated advice xD.

Like in Edo period there was a huge difference between the amount of women and men. There were far less women and if a man got divorced there was a high chance he would never find a woman to marry him again. (I imagine with the amount of men in the army we saw they had to be not just noble houses but also lower class men). So if Kafka got with Mina for example (or any female character) and they had a row Kafka would get a chorus of voices on how he should apologise and beg forgiveness bc no way someone gonna marry him again. In this economy?!

Another thing was that payment usually was on "trust me bro" rule and twice a year debt collectors would be hired and go to collect those "trust me bro" payments. Thus I think such situations in Kafka's mind would be pretty common occurrences:

Samurai: you should get her a really expensive gift!!

Kafka: i can't afford that!

Samurai: it's okay! When a debt collectors come just pretend you are dead! I did that twice!

Samurai 2: I once spent entire night on the rooftop of my house until the daybreak. Those suckers never found me.

Seriously it should NOT be so difficult to draw that bro, it looks like a durian but it’s only purpose is to torture me specifically. If he looks a bit chopped it’s because I haven’t properly found a way to stylize his fuck ass hair, thankfully when it’s longer it’s easier to draw but still.

I still gotta find a way to keep his silhouette without losing any fat since the style I’m trying to copy doesn’t have a lot of variety for fatter characters. Not everybody is a walking skeleton I want more diversity so that I don’t gotta spend 3 hours trying and failing to draw something. I don’t think the combat uniforms get enough appreciation so here we are
