My stance on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Aid needs to be allowed in and properly distributed. No one should not be starving nor deprived of medical necessities. That falls on both the Israeli and the Palestinian governing bodies. The Israeli government might be allowing more aid in but it’s not enough. (Edit- May 30, 2024- Israel has since done a lot to increase the aid allowed in and it’s commendable. Sadly, the aid that is approved is still being stolen and sold by Hamas but Israel still gets all the blame. Israel is doing more for Gazans than Hamas which is supposed to be the government. Hamas benefits from the genocide/starvation narrative. Edit- June 2024. The UN has lied again. Turns out, they only count the UN aid trucks.) Aid might be getting in but the people under the Palestinian governing bodies are still forced to pay for the aid that should be free.
No one should be held as an unlawful captive in any capacity. Whether it’s the October 7 hostages, Palestinians in Israeli detention centers. Nobody. (Edit 2025- And don’t start with the “The Palestinians being released as part of the ceasefire deal are hostages too.” Those are people who have committed violent crimes and were sentenced to/waiting to be sentenced. Those people are not hostages.)
No one should be considered anything other than a human being. Whether their actions are good or bad. No one is subhuman.
This is not an “Either you’re with us or against us conflict.” No one should be blinding devoted to any governing body’s actions. This is not a sports game; these are human lives.
If you are going to reblog something, make sure you research it. This is a war and wars are notorious for propaganda from both sides. You are not helping people by separating “bad” and “good” Jews; you are just looking for a group that you can treat badly. You are not helping by reblogging that the MREs are expired (MREs don’t expire; an inspector must deemthem unsafe.); you are spreading false information that can harm Palestinians.
The above is non negotiable. I am willing to discuss anything else.
