At first, I have no idea about Google Console and the NVIDIA GPU until I joined the Google Cloud and NVIDIA community <3 Within the community, I was able to search questions and answers there, even as a newbie in the coding space. As daunting as AI and coding may seem, I feel safe and welcomed in the community. I definitely don't feel lost.
Even though I couldn't afford to add my credit card on Google Console or buy myself a NVIDIA GPU, I managed to learn a lot by completing the Speed Up Data Analytics on GPUs learning pathway!
I love how the code lab contains step by step instructions with pictures and diagrams to guide us through Colab enterprise and it's use. It's written like a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) so it's easy to understand the concepts despite being new to the field. Nice introduction to Colab Enterprise and NVIDIA cuDF!
What I learned
NVIDIA CUDA for DataFrames (cuDF)Â - cudf.pandas is godsend. It's crazy that no code changes are made to accelerate large dataset operations! I can use it with my limited knowledge in coding languages (I only know java script). Also, I am very happy with the speed of the AI model in Colab (from youtube videos of course) since I am very impatient with "lagging" and "slow" LLMs.
I can use a NVIDIA GPU for FREE on Google Colab! Free is my favourite F word (although Google Colab is not free for me)! The free NVIDIA GPU in Google Colab makes me want to break my bank for my non-existent money!
I love how Colab doesn't require any installation on my already dying laptop (500 GB of storage, 8GB of RAM, and i5 CPU). I can just code on my browser and easily share the notebook to my peers (without downloading the file)!
What's next
I can't wait to use Google Colab on my hackathon projects! With the speed of a NVIDIA GPU and the collaborative nature of Google Colab, I am confident that my future team can win within 24 hours! Now I can code with confidence!

As more and more people are being forced to switch to Windows 11, Microsoft's most AI-malware-ridden OS yet, I've been putting together articles and links for how to undo the damage and save your battery, your RAM, your disk space, your privacy, and your sanity from this bullshit.
FIRST:
The easiest way to get rid of the majority of the bullshit that Windows is forcing on us, as of October 2025, is this one-stop-one-click debloat solution from a modern day hero:
A simple, lightweight PowerShell script to remove pre-installed apps, disable telemetry, as well as perform various other changes to customi
It's very easy, even if you're not tech savvy or get scared of pop up windows saying "ARE YOU SURE?" Yes, you are sure, I promise. This program takes maybe two minutes and will save you SO MUCH pain, time, and money (and exploitation).
Now that you've done that, here's the cleanup, to catch the little shit that the debloat might have missed (most of this will already be done by debloat, but hey, it's good to double check).
Microsoft wants to put AI everywhere on your PC, but you can take back control.
Even just reading about some of these features makes me angry. Fucking Copilot and "Discover" AI scrapers are in Notepad. NOTEPAD. And then there's this uncanny valley garbage:
No uncanny valley video calls for me, thanks! (Also, what else is it doing while it scans your face and listens to your calls? What else, microsoft? Because there was a lot of memory being assigned to this program for a simple "smooths your skin" add on).
Tired of Microsoft pushing ads throughout Windows 11? Here are the settings you can tweak to turn them off and reclaim some privacy.
The truly insane number of places they have stuck ads on your own home computer is sickening. Become Unmarketable.
Bonus:
Some background programs you probably don't need that are taking up space and how to remove them (Microsoft forums, 2024)
Your Samsung Galaxy Phone comes with 22 apps you don't need (Android Police, 2025)
How to disable the AI in firefox (still the only browser that lets you do this permanently) (Windows Report, 2025)
First of all, let me celebrate getting a high mark on my teamwork project đ„łYes, it is teamwork but after our presentations, they sent us a link to rate each as a member of the team (and getting a high mark means I did well âš)
Do I like the backend tho? Not at all itâs very complicated for me and thatâs why I insist on making a new backend for my final (graduation) project.
All the students going to make an e-commerce website but I told my instructors that I would make a whole new project to practice my backend because I am still not confident in it (and I rather fail than pass this bootcamp without actually understanding the backend)
They said âitâs going to be hard and you may not be able to finish it before the deadline, are you sure about that?â
I SAID YESSSS âš
So this is the entity I made for my final project, if you have any opinion on it please let me know, I want to learn and I will take anything to do that!
I did a lot of coding last week but that is still maybe 10% or 15% of the whole project đ„ș I still need to complete the code, test it and deploy it
Anyway enough with backend! Letâs talk about frontend now đ»âš
I love this website and even though I am still only 20% I can tell you itâs way better than the previous course I took
Okay, you need to make sure you play this game at some point. Maybe not today or anything, because youâll need about thirty minutes and a serious willingness to understand how it works, but - itâs so worth it. Itâs basically an answer to our occasional frustration - why do assholes always come out on top? - and the beautiful thing about it is that not only does it explain how that happens, but also how we can change it.
âIn the short run, the game defines the players. But in the long run, itâs us players who define the game.â
Donât check just this - check out all of Nicky Caseâs work. Theyâre a brilliant creator and I heavily recommend checking out at least one of their projects. Their website can be found here.
Parable of the Polygons - an interactive experiment that shows how tiny individual biases can collectively cause segregation on a massive scale.
To Build a Better Ballot - an interactive experiment that shows the alternatives to the voting systems we currently use and how they can be more representative and democratic, along with their faults.
Coming Out Simulator - a short interactive story/novel about coming out, based off of Caseâs own experiences. Not one Iâve played myself but still one I can recommend.
Loopy - a very simple but useful tool to show how systems interact with each other and how things can self-propagate.
We Become What We Behold - â a game about news cycles, vicious cycles, infinite cycles.â A short five-minute game about news and media. Warnings for violence, blood, death and stress.

So a long time ago I made a poll to help me make a Begginers guide to GIT because a lot of people seem to have trouble with it.
https://www.tumblr.com/moose-mousse/722172571753365504/going-to-make-a-getting-started-with-git-post?source=share
And I know for a fact that my University taught it horribly. (Or rather... did not teach it at all)
I REALLY tried making this guide as short as I possibly could. Explaining only what you need to know, while trying to clarify what most people find confusing. But it still is too long for a single post. So, I have split it into 5. The post each links to each other, so you should be able to go back and forth easily.
This guide is going to be pure GIT done via the command line.
2 reasons for this:
1: GIT GUIâs are really handy, but they abstracts away a lot of the newbie help GIT is trying to give you. Bitbucket, Github, Jira, and other services use GIT but usually add extra bits that are specific to them. So to know how they are different, it is smartest to learn pure GIT first. And since they are 99% GIT, you will be able to use them with no/little trouble.
2: Because I use the command line, it is easy to build your own automation tools. Simply have a program write git commands to the shell and/or read outputs from git commands and use them to visualize whatever you want, however you want.
That way you can have whatever shiney graphics your heart can code up. All the tools you can find (Like Github desktop or gitk) are simply doing this. (incidentally, if any of you make a pretty visualization of GIT? Show me! I wanna see a dog themed GIT graph! I wanna see pink log outputs! Make it yours!)

My teammates left me alone for 3 hours but it's all good because I got to eat some good food (my main reason for joining the hackathon).
Check out my design!!
I think the design was mid. I copied from a template design from the Figma community. Lowkey, my team members are lower mid tier since they are going through a divorce during the team meetings and stopped showing up to the actual event.
Here are some pictures of the event.
I really love the winner's website and pitch. It's fully functional!
StumbleUpon once sent me to a supercut of Lion King, Lion King 1 1/2, and Lion King II, the main edit being that the scenes of Lion King and Lion King 1 1/2 were interspersed so that they happened in the order they actually happened.
The Bored Button - "Press the Bored Button and be bored no more."
The Useless Web
Cloudhiker - "Discover the most interesting, weird and awesome websites of the Internet" (not really a rebrand, it's a different person running it but they have the same intention in mind)
Astronaut.io - "These videos come from YouTube. They were uploaded in the last week and have titles like DSC 1234 and IMG 4321. They have almost zero previous views. They are unnamed, unedited, and unseen (by anyone but you)."
Marginalia - "This is an independent DIY search engine that focuses on non-commercial content, and attempts to show you sites you perhaps weren't aware of in favor of the sort of sites you probably already knew existed."

also just wanted to mention i drew this with my mouse 100% !! you donât need a tablet or any fancy programs to get into pixel art, if you have the desire you can create đ€
I want to go crazy and make a housing crisis game for students to play and be aware of the cost of living in Canada. The thing is... I don't know how to code ahaha or make a game. I found this cute website to make a game but I am not sure if it has all the requirements I have in mind for my game. I kind of want to make it like Stardew Valley or a RPG game.
Gamefroot's html5 LevelEditor, where you can make cool games inside your browser.
Maybe I should stick with Figma and make a app prototype that helps students find roommates instead. Huhhh another dating app idea to meet people.
