I just know that somehow, someway, Val found is way onto IceMav Ao3 at some point and giggled and kicked his feet at the ideas of one of his most important characters living his best life with his little shortstack pilot.

In my perfect world he and Tom yapped about it on occasion and even though they knew they couldn’t bring it to the big screen, they both knew that these two idiots we’re in love and loved that for them.

In an even more perfect world, Val had a secret Ao3 account that none of us know was his and posted fics on occasion (because this man was a POET and LOVED to write! He would have absolutely written IceMav, especially since he literally said he just daydreamed about Maverick and Iceman’s dynamic inbetween 1986 and TGM.

So yes, next time your on Ao3 and you come across a silly little IceMav fic, with an unknown author, who knows, maybe you’re reading one that THE TOM KAZANSKY himself wrote.
