For some reason I held on like we could move forward

It broke my heart, watching that video over & over

My brain told me leave, but my heart said don’t go

But trying to get that love back was like chasing my own shadow

Our love was like a match that burnt so very bright

But after a while yours died out

The smoke you left was toxic and mad

I should of left right when the flame was dead

But silly me tried to re light the fire

To bring back the love that we once desired

Some may say I was selfish for staying, some may say I didn’t try hard enough to re light that flame
