Meditation and Mindfulness are two terms that are often used interchangeably but do have slightly different meanings. However, they are actually different in many ways. While both practices are great for your mental health and can help you to become more mindful, they have different benefits.
Mindfulness is a mental state of awareness, attention, and balance. It is being consciously and non-judgmentally aware of the present moment, both internally and externally, It does not involve any particular belief system, nor does it need any effort from the practitioner, unlike traditional meditation such as Zen or Yoga.
In contrast, Meditation is a form of practice that typically includes repeating a mantra or focusing on breathing. While both are often used interchangeably in western society, there are key differences between mindfulness and meditation that may be important for you to consider before practicing either one.
In this video, I'm going to answer the question "What's the difference between mindfulness and meditation?" I'll go over the key differences between these two practices and how they can help you live a more mindful life. I'll also discuss the benefits of these two mental health practices for both physical and mental health.
