As a proud otherlinker and advocate for voluntary alterhumanity, this is just insane. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean you get to be the end all be all of whether or not it should exist. You not liking it does not erase us either. We are still here whether you like it or not. Otherpaws, otherlinks, fictionpaws, funlinks, etc are all a part of the large, fluid (in the sense that there is multiple ways to be yourself) community.

And the "belief you need to transition/have dysphoria" is actually crazy. That's like saying an afab person can't be nonbinary because they don't want to chop their titties off. A massive part of this community is that there is a spectrum. That's one of the things that drew me in originally.

You, and anyone else trying to police how the alterhuman community works, are part of the reason it can be so negative and bad. You have NO right whatsoever to try and invalidate someone else's experience just because you refuse to educate yourself and challenge your (harmful) beliefs.

Every alterhuman and nonhuman has a unique experience that they can then use to share with the rest of the community. You thinking it's "invalid" or "cringe" or "not real" does not change that, and never will. The only delusional one here is you (the op who created and said all this)

They stress that while this is a life or death matter, they need the human to be a willing participant. That all of their needs and wants would be met and that the Eridians would give Earth information and technology in exchange. The volunteer would be given a life of luxury in exchange for living on Erid with Grace.

Unfortunately, there is a mistranslation, and the humans think that the Eridians require a sacrifice otherwise they will use their resources against earth. In order to avoid a possible interstellar war with an alien species, they choose a convict who has a life sentence to be locked in a bare rocket and blasted off to Erid.
