There are actually harness type saddles made for DD’s!
They are fucking expensive but they do exist. They look just like harnesses but located on their back is a sort of oval shaped flat curve pocket. This is where the rump sits if theres a rider. It helps support the rear end of the rider, gives them something to lean back on. There are little foot sturps as well to provide better grounding and support. The rider will spend the entire time hugged close to the DD’s back in a sort of crouched position with their legs folded, often times with the chin or head resting up against the DD’s back for better aerodynamics and less wind resistance
