people seem to have this strange idea that potent hypnotists come off as hard doms. im sure that works with especially self-destructive or universally susceptible subjects, but the best hypnotists do not work that way.
they're polite and friendly and amicable. they feel strangely easy to talk to, despite the fact that you just met them. you might go from hello to talking about your childhood with them in the space of an hour or two and not quite know how you got there so easily.
you might find that they compliment you often, and genuinely mean it, having spent hundreds of hours understanding the beauty of minds and seeing much of it within you. they seem to understand your vulnerabilities, maybe without you even knowing them yourself, and always make you feel safe and listened to.
they discuss hypnosis with you well before anything close to a session starts. they listen intently to everything you have to say, while mentally noting down what they know will work well on you.
they won't speak dramatically or overact with their voice.
they'll speak calmly, and clearly, but with assurance and confidence.
you'll find yourself sinking faster than usual, because you just like them too much not to.
you'll want to drop for them well before they ask you to.
they won't feel like an imposing force, they'll feel like the air itself. the mind won't lose to its influence, their influence will feel like your brain isn't even there to fight against it.
they'll speak to your soul with a smile on their face, and you'll smile back even wider.
