okay okay i came across your post about montreal and hockey and shane hollander. genuine question as someone who is from the other side of the world knows nothing about hockey. would the people not riot against shane for sleeping with the enemy? like how it is presented in the story that he left montreal because the montreal fans got so toxic and homophobic and everyone hated him? would that not happen and instead they would support him and ilya and riot against the management for fumbling him?
the amount of ire we montrealers have for the management of the habs is astronomical. like i know far too much about the general managers. i have far too many opinions about the front office. and i am not even someone who follows hockey attentively. like its just osmosis of being a habs fan and living in montreal you become someone who bleeds tricolor and players who are sweet and kind get elevated to sainthood. like pk subban, carey price, maurice richard, jean beliveau and saku koivu to name a few. management fumbling the bag??? 100% has happened and montreal has been so fucking angry that the players jersey isnt removed from sale because people still stan them even after the trade. like, no, they play for nashville now??? well i guess i support nashville for a hyper specific way and will still say montreal won if nashville wins because they were never traded and by the transitive properties they are still montreal alum. montreal is wild that way
