I'm Still Here.

I have a long way to go, but I’m nearly done with the major arcana.

Here are some of my favorites:

I set myself a design challenge (as I often do). I wanted to limit the color palette and the brush styles to create a very consistent look.

And since each card focuses on black cats, it forces me to think deeply about symbolism and design to make sure the meaning of each card is clear and each design is unique.

But there’s still a lot of variety coming through. It’s not all class, or all silliness - just like cats

I have a forearm tattoo of the cats in this one ☝️

I’m so happy with how both of these two managed to feel dark, but adorable at the same time.

Most of these used my own feline friends for reference.

He then spent the rest of the film torturing the female cast. Taking clear "inspiration" from Silent Hill 2 by tastelessly slapping a sexual abuse subplot into Alessa's backstory, having Pyramid Head completely expose Ana by removing her clothes (???) before ripping her skin off by her breast, and then instead of having an interesting encounter with posessed Cybil, he just makes the audience watch her die horrifically.

This isn't even going into the way Christabella is killed... And the strange repeated message that "Mother is God in the eyes of a child." when the original game and its main inspiration is about how family can be the worst abusers...

Changing Dahlia into a well meaning and innocent figure kind of defeats the purpose. Isn't it more horrific that Alessa's own mother wanted to sacrifice her to birth God?
