Coming back from the cinema with a friend who invited me to see Supergirl.
Just wanna say... The haters have no jurisdiction, the movie in general is fun and enjoyable, I liked it. It's had a moment where I wished things went different, and I wished it wasn't under 2 hours. But seriously... This movie does NOT deserve the hate it's getting.
7.5/10 for me, would be 8/10 or even 9 if it had extra scenes, and one particular moment from the comics I wished was in the movie. No spoiler review from me on here yet, I'll give it a few days. I adore Milly Alcock as Kara and cannot wait to see her in Man of Tomorrow, heard she's playing a massive role in the next film.

You and F1D0 found yourselves trying to help Gemma’s team of Tess and Cole with the unveiling of the prototype mover robotic system to a potential investor. Where was the love of your life, Gemma? Having to pick up Cady again after another incident at the school.
You and your robotic would never say it aloud but you both miss the days of military training drills. It was better than trying to go to any and all possible technology companies to beg for funding.
Gemma had argued that the robotic system could not be done with military funding, “you know what they would do with it”
“The same thing they would’ve wanted F1D0 for” you huffed, looking at your robotic pal with a sad expression. F1D0 did not like being reminded of why the military originally wanted him built. Despite how often you and your love may disagree on the subject of AI, she did have a point every now and then.
Back at the presentation, everything was going well…up to the point that Cole accidentally smacked the investor with the robotic hand.
“I think I would’ve rather invested in the robo-mutt in the corner!” the investor muttered on the way out as Gemma and Cady came in.
“I take it we didn’t get the contract” Gemma sighs.
“Nope” Tess huffs.
“I am not a mutt” F1D0 states, “I was modeled after a German Shepherd.”
“I know bud. And you’re still my good boy” you gently pet under his jaw, earning a little leg shake from your pal
“So how come F1D0 is so well behaved?” Cole asks. “I mean he’s technically an AI powered entity inside the shell of a robot dog”
“Easy” you shrug, “I raised him. Like a parent. Taught him right from wrong. Asminov’s laws of robotics”
“That could’ve been useful two years ago” Tess mutters, alluding to the menace known as M3GAN. A part of you still felt kind of bad for her. She was lost, technically a child herself forced into a parental type position.
Your thoughts were interrupted as Alton Appleton came rolling in on his mechanical wheelchair. With all the swagger that he thought he had, he tried to convince you and the team to join his tech company.
“Hell I could even sell versions of your dogs there. Kids would love robot dogs” Alton smirked, looking at F1D0.
Your dog growled. “Sorry Appleton” you lock eyes with the CEO, “but I’m not about to put places like SPCA or animal shelters out of business. There are plenty of dogs who need good homes”
“Eh suit yourself” Alton turned his attention to Gemma and begun talking about biomechanics. He even made a show of how a robotic spine had allowed him to stand again.
“Access granted” F1D0 intoned.
“Granted to what?” Alton asked only for his robotic wheelchair he was standing in to shake and spin a little. A little chuckle escaped F1D0’s voice box. “Ahh!! Bad dog! Bad dog!”
Alton quickly ran out as Gemma turned to see you, Cady, and F1D0 laughing up a storm. “Really you two?”
“Sorry babe” you tried to apologize, a laugh still on your lips.
You love Gemma but you hate the fact that she’s working with this anti-AI activist named Christian, pronounced Chris-IAN. Even F1D0 rolls his robotic eyes at the guy.
You and F1D0 make your way to Cady’s room after Christian leaves.
“Is there any truth to that? The paperclips theory” your dog asks.
“No” you state “your proof of the fallacy. You’ve grown to be a good dog, you’ve proven the hypothesis of a movie like The Iron Giant, bud. An AI can be a force for good, more than the sum of its programming”
“I am not a gun” F1D0 quotes the movie with a little wag in his tail.
The two of you continued walking to Cady’s room, unaware that one of the security camera was watching your little interaction with particular interest.
After gently correcting Cady and helping to understand the source of her angst, you made your way to your bedroom. F1D0 stood outside Cady’s room, remaining vigilant.
You walk into yours and Gemma’s room to find her already in bed, reading a book.
“Hey you” she smiles at you
“Hey” you smile back before settling in bed with her. “This apartment has way too many cameras.”
Gemma giggles and kisses your neck, “good thing the bedrooms don’t”
And then came the intruders. Several armed soldiers broke into your apartment. A call came thru on Gemma’s phone. A voice that sent shivers down her spine.
“Trust me I got this”
“Megan.”
You didn’t even need to hear it to know it was her. M3GAN hadn’t died. She simply transferred. Several wi-fi enabled appliances attacked the intruders and so did F1D0. You looked on, realizing how in-sync F1D0 and M3GAN appeared to work as a team. It got the wheels in your head turning.
Or it would, had you not found out it was the FBI who were coming by for two reasons. (1) Someone used Gemma’s original designs for M3GAN to build a robot called AMELIA. And (2) they suspected you both of selling AMELIA to other countries.

Nothing like pulling up to your niece, Cady’s school, having to pull her from the class for the day.
F1D0, your ever faithful robot sits in the passenger seat of your minivan. “Need to me come with you, Master?”
“No bud. I got this” you get out and make your way towards the principal’s office.
You’ve never gotten truly mad at Cady. But as you drove her home, you were fuming.
“Really Cady? You flung a girl over your shoulder? Like Steven Segal?!”
“She started it.” Cady argues softly. “She called you andGemma a freak. Called F1D0 not a real dog.”
“She wanted a rise out of you and you gave it” you countered. “Cady…we need for this school to work. You can’t be bundled up in the lab with F1D0 and I all day”
“But I love being with you and F1D0”
“As much as we love you Cady, socialization is important”
“Why is F1D0 up front again?” Cady huffs.
“Because he’s not the one in trouble, young lady” you continued driving down the road towards yours and Gemma’s apartment.
Things have not been easy since the M3GAN incident. Gemma had begun an anti-AI crusade with this guy Christian. Guy gives you and F1D0 the creeps.
“He’s trying to put the moves on you, Gemma” you groaned one night.
“He is not” Gemma countered, “he’s passionate about the cause.”
“Oh he’s passionate alright.”
Gemma would always reassure you, wrapping her arms around you. “I’m more passionate about you”
The new apartment was alright. Gemma got a pretty great deal on it. Neither of you were hip on how Ai powered the place seemed to be. Or the fact that you never met your landlord. Or the fact that the cameras in the apartment always seemed to be watching. You couldn’t shake the feeling that someone or rather something was watching…

Wednesday watched with scorn as you hurried out of the Rave'N Ball. What could possibly be wrong with you? She asked herself, but her curiosity was too great to ignore.
She abruptly left Tyler mid-dance, not even bothering to give him an explanation, and followed after you.
Enid was excited to attend the Raven Ball, and she had put a lot of effort into her outfit and makeup. She was walking towards the entrance when someone accidentally bumped into her.
She turned around to see who it was, and to her surprise, it was you.
You mouthed an apology, but it seemed like you didn't recognize who you had bumped into.
"Y/N!" Enid shouted, hoping you would stop. However, you kept walking, leaving her no choice but to follow you.
Wednesday stood there, watching you go, her heels glued to the spot. Her thoughts were screaming at her.
Follow her.
She hears the silence in the deafening music, she feels the coldness in the warm air. She wishes she could reach out and touch you, to pull you back to her, to make you stay.
But her pride and stubbornness pushed back against her curiosity. She was too prideful to admit that she cared that much. She turned on her heels and walked away, ignoring the urge to follow you and Enid.
Enid called out to you again, and this time, you turned around. She saw that your eyes were bloodshot and swollen, as if you had been crying for hours.
She could feel the pain radiating from you, and she instinctively felt the need to comfort you. "What happened?" she asked softly, her voice filled with concern.
You shook your head and said, "It doesn't matter."
"Yes, it does matter," she insisted, matching her pace to yours. "What happened?"
"Nothing happened, Enid."
When you finally reached your dorm room, you hesitatingly opened the door, looking at Enid with a pained expression. "Is everything going to be alright?" Enid asked, concern and tenderness emanating from her voice.
"Yes, you should go back to the ball," you say, closing the door and leaving.
—
You lay on your bed, staring up at the ceiling. You take a deep breath, trying to clear your mind of any worries or thoughts.
You can't help but feel frustrated with yourself.
Why can't you just move on? Why do you keep hoping for something that will never happen?
You know that what you're feeling is unrequited, and yet there's this tiny little string that keeps pulling you in, making you hope that somehow, someway, she'll reciprocate your feelings one day.
But the fact of the matter is that you're just setting yourself up for heartbreak. You wish you could just turn off your feelings like flipping a switch, but it's not that simple.
Love is a strange and powerful thing, even for a cupid like you.
As the old saying goes, "love hurts," and you're the prime example of that.
If only you knew, back when you first began to fall for Wednesday, what love felt like, you never would have allowed yourself to become so wrapped up in your feelings.
It's clear now that you should have listened to your own advice to focus on yourself and not let your emotions control your life.
But here you are, lying in bed, wondering what could have been.
Still, you know you have to try to move on. You can't keep torturing yourself by dwelling on your feelings for Wednesday.
You're ready to face the challenges that come your way and to finally let go of the love that's been holding you back.
—
The soft light of the moon illuminated you as you perched on a branch, your wings and bow in hand.
You closed your eyes, taking a deep breath as you transformed into your child self. Your innocent, childlike appearance contrasted with the mature power you held in your hands.
The couples around you wandered aimlessly, unaware of the influence you wielded over their destinies.
You aimed your bow at the couple closest to you. With a steady hand, you let loose the arrow, sending it soaring towards the couple.
And then, in an instant, it was as if a switch had been flipped.
The couple's conversation, which had been so stilted before, suddenly flowed effortlessly. They laughed and joked as though they had known each other for years, and before long, they were walking side by side, deep in conversation, and completely focused on each other.
Satisfied with your work, you let out a contented sigh and returned your bow and arrows to their proper place. But in that same moment, a question arises.
Will you forever remain a spectator to the love stories you so expertly create? Or will there come a day when you, too, find the love you seek?
You finished up your work for the day and were ready to call it a night.
You flew to your dorm room at Nevermore, still in your child form. You landed on the balcony and opened the window, only to discover Enid opening the door with a book in her hands.
The two of you screamed in unison, and Enid immediately grabbed you, holding you up in the air.
"What the hell is a kid doing in here?" Enid demanded, carrying you around. "Put me down!" you exclaimed, causing you to transform into your recent form.
"Y/N??" Enid shouted, looking utterly shocked.
She quickly turned around and faced the wall, noticing that you were naked. "Get a pair of clothes!" she yelled, and you hurriedly dressed yourself.
You turned back to face Enid, still with your wings behind you and your bow at your side on the desk. "You can turn around now," you said, slightly embarrassed.
Enid turned around to look at you up and down. "You're...you're..." she stuttered, staring at your wings. "...an angel?" she asked, stepping closer to touch them, but you stepped backward awkwardly.
"Yeah, sort of," you admitted, still feeling embarrassed about revealing your true identity as a cupid to Enid.
"Sort of? What do you mean by 'sort of'?" she asked you, looking visibly confused. "I am a cupid," you said, feeling like you had to confess your secret to her.
Enid fell silent, watching you with intense interest. You just wanted to disappear into the ground.
"What are you doing here anyway?" You asked, breaking the tense silence between the two of you. "Wednesday told me to give these books to you...to help with your project," she explained, handing you some books about botany.
You cleared your throat, staring at the door, and Enid nodded before leaving.
Before she could exit the room, you reached out and grabbed her arm, turning her around to face you once more. "Please, don't tell this to anyone," you begged.
"Okay," Enid said simply, understanding the severity of the situation. You nodded before releasing your grip on her arm and watching as she left your dorm.
You took a moment to collect yourself before getting ready for bed, still feeling a little shaken by the events of the day.
You had just revealed your identity as a cupid to someone who was not a cupid, and you weren't sure if she would be able to keep your secret.
—
You entered the botany class and walked towards your usual seat. Wednesday was already sitting there, as if she had claimed it for herself.
Normally, you would have eagerly approached her and struck up a conversation, but you chose not to, and you decided to ignore her altogether. Maybe that was easier than dealing with her sharp tongue and dry sarcasm. She probably would have been rude anyway, so why bother?
You looked around for an alternative place to sit. You caught Enid's eyes, her empty seat next to her was a welcome invitation. Hesitant but eager for some form of human interaction, you made your way over to Enid and sat down beside her.
Once the lesson began, Enid leaned into your ear, her hair tickling your skin. She whispered in her hushed voice, which echoed in your ears, "So...how does it feel being a cupid?"
You instinctively shushed her, worried that someone might have heard your secret. After looking in all directions to ensure no one was listening in, you replied, "Don't ask questions like that." Enid nodded as you continued, "And don't ever ask that again either."
You rolled your eyes, your annoyance now growing, and pulled out your notebook, determined simply to focus on your work.
However, while you tried to ignore Wednesday, you didn't realize that she was watching you out of the corner of her eye. Her brows were furrowed, and she seemed to be trying to understand why you were avoiding her.
—
You sigh as Enid bombards you with question after question. She has been asking you a lot of questions about your abilities and life as a cupid since she discovered you are one.
One day, while walking through the quad, Enid approached you with a smile on her face and asked, "Have you ever accidentally shot the wrong person with your arrow? I mean, it would be super awkward if you shot one into someone's eye by accident! You do have good aim, right...?"
Later that day, Enid approached you again in the hallway and asked another question, "Can you shoot your arrows at other emotions besides love? Like, would you shoot an arrow at someone who is really angry and make them chill out?"
Enid's questions didn't stop there. In the fencing class, she asks you yet another question, "What's the weirdest place you've ever shot one of your arrows? I know that love can happen anywhere, but seriously... inside a volcano?"
Her questions just made you wish that Enid didn't find out your secret, "Is it true that cupids make a 'ping!' sound when they fire their arrows? I'm just imagining a huge cupid battle with love arrows flying everywhere, and all you can hear is 'ping, ping, ping...'"
"Enid, stop." You close the book you were reading and turn to face her.
She sits up on the bed, her legs still folded beneath her, and leans forward with a smile on her face. "Sorry, but there are just so many questions I want to ask.”
You shake your head, feeling a little bit exasperated but also amused by her childlike sense of wonder. "Alright, go ahead then," you say, not wanting to ruin her fun completely.
Her last question makes you tense up a little bit. "Do cupids ever accidentally shoot their arrows at themselves? I heard that a cupid can fall in love with a human.. do you think that's true?!"
But before you could answer, Wednesday walked into the room. She looked at you up and down, seemingly surprised to see you there, before sitting down at her desk and pulling out her typewriter.
You and Enid both looked at each other awkwardly, unsure of what to do now that Wednesday was in the room.
Realizing that things might get sticky, you decide to make an excuse. "Excuse me, Enid. I think I forgot to do something," you said, standing up from the floor.
Enid looked up at you, surprised. "Oh, really? What did you forget to do?"
You hesitated for a moment, trying to come up with a convincing lie. "Well, I think I left something important in my room."
Enid shrugged. "Alright. See you later."
You take one last glance at Wednesday's back, a feeling of unease making its way up your spine.
As you continued to walk away from Enid's room, you found yourself deep in thought.
"Do cupids ever accidentally shoot their arrows at themselves? I heard that a cupid can fall in love with a human."
The memory of your conversation with Enid remained on your mind like a pesky tick that refused to let go. The more you tried to push it away, the more it echoed in your thoughts, tormenting you like a dark cloud on a clear day.
You reflected back on the story of Cupid and Psyche, where the god of love also fell in love with a beautiful mortal woman.
As a Cupid yourself, it's ironic that you're the one who now feels like the mythological princess Psyche, struggling to move on from your unrequited love for Wednesday.
She, too, had fallen in love with a being who was out of her reach. You too have fallen in love with someone who seems untouchable and unattainable, and now you find yourself struggling to move on from that person, even as you feel the pull of their presence in your heart.
You spent countless nights tossing and turning in your bed, imagining what it would be like to hold Wednesday in your arms, to run your fingers through her midnight-black hair, and to stare into her soulful dark eyes.
But even as you longed for Wednesday's love, you couldn't help but wonder if you were just deluding yourself, chasing after something that could never be.
After all, Wednesday was a dark, mysterious person whose heart was hidden behind a wall of ice and iron.
How could you hope to melt such a heart, to win her love and make her yours, when you could barely even understand her yourself?
You wondered if the gods were playing a cruel joke on you, a modern-day Psyche who was destined to suffer the pangs of unrequited love, forever bound to an ideal that was beyond your grasp.
—
Later that week, while working on your joint project in Wednesday's dorm room, you only talked to Enid. You didn't try to make conversation with Wednesday, knowing that it would be too tempting to slip back into your old patterns.
You tried to finish your project as quickly as possible so that you wouldn't have to spend any more time around Wednesday.
The next day, you and Wednesday's project were the first ones turned in, and you received an A from Ms. Thornhill. From that day on, you made it a point to avoid Wednesday as much as possible.
For the first week, you intentionally avoided making eye contact with Wednesday, unsure of what might happen if you did.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months, and you found yourself slowly growing used to the idea of not having any contact with Wednesday.
It wasn't easy at first, but the more time passed, the easier it became, and you found yourself no longer feeling the need to turn back when she walked past you in the hallway.
You felt no nervousness when she sat opposite you at the table. And you didn't get swept away by her eyes when you occasionally made eye contact with her.
Your relationship with Enid grew stronger, and you spent more and more time together.
Wednesday became an afterthought, fading into the background of your life. While you never forgot what she looked like, you stopped caring about her, content to live a fulfilling life without her.
—
You and Yoko watched in awe as Wednesday and Bianca sparred in the fencing court. As usual, both of them were evenly matched, exchanging blow after blow with precision and power. It was one of the many reasons you enjoyed this particular fencing class so much.
Your friend turned to you and asked, "Do you still like Wednesday?”
You shook your head. "No, not anymore."
Yoko messed up your hair playfully, saying, "Finally! You've moved on from that witch."
"Don't call her that."
Yoko tilted her head to the side and asked, "But I thought you didn't like her anymore?"
"She's my friend, Yoko," you continued, feeling a hint of irritation at her dismissive attitude towards one of the few people you really cared about.
SPLAT! A stream of blood ran down Wednesday's cheek, and Bianca smirked at her mischievously. "Got distracted, Wednesday?" she taunted.
Wednesday chose to ignore her and instead focus on her fencing technique.
Yoko's eyes wandered off, and she said, "Don't worry, there's always someone around there. You probably just didn't know." You were so engrossed in your conversation with your friend that you didn't notice she had been eyeing Enid.
"And who is that someone? Is it you, Yoko? Never!", you said, chuckling.
Yoko lightly punched your arm. "Rude!"
"Y/N! Go help Wednesday!" Coach Vlad called you out, causing you to snap out of your conversation. "What? Uh, right away!" You rushed over to her side and followed Wednesday into the infirmary.
Wednesday stood in the middle of the dimly lit infirmary, the sting of her wound pulsating with each heartbeat.
As if sensing her discomfort, someone entered the room. She sighed, expecting to see Coach Vlad, but instead, it was just you.
"Leave," Wednesday said flatly, refusing to turn around. She didn't need your pity, and your presence was only making her feel more vulnerable. "I don't need your help," Wednesday said, her voice laced with anger. "I can take care of myself."
You took another step towards Wednesday, the medical kit in your hand, your fingers trembling. "But Coach Vlad wanted me to help-"
She turned around to face you. "I don't care what Coach Vlad wants," Wednesday shot back, her voice rising. "I can handle my own wounds. I don't need you or anyone else."
You sighed, feeling a lump in your throat. "But I-"
"But nothing," Wednesday said, her voice cutting you off. She stepped toward you, so close that you could feel her breath on your skin. "I don't need your help. I don't need you."
You felt your heart sink into your stomach. You tried to say something, anything, but the words caught in your throat.
"Why do you care anyway?" Wednesday spat, her patience wearing thin.
"Because I am your friend," you immediately replied, clutching your fist.
"You're not," Wednesday said, her voice quiet but no less devastating. "You're just someone I sat next to in botany class. Someone I'm partnered with for a stupid project." She scoffed, as if the idea of your friendship was hilarious.
You felt yourself grow defensive, your fists clenching and unclenching. You want to hurt her just like she's hurting you right now.
The words flowed out of your mouth before you could even think about them, as if they were from a part of you that was tired of being dismissed and ignored. "I wish I hadn't met you.”
Wednesday's face crumpled for a second, as if she were taken aback by your sudden outburst.
Before she could respond, you spun on your heel and stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind you so hard that it shook the walls of the infirmary.
Comeback.
There she stood, frozen to the spot once again. The words she wants to say and the actions she wants to take are all but locked inside a prison she can't escape.
It's almost like a twisted game of freeze tag, where she is frozen in place while the clock ticks away, and the only thing she's able to do is watch.
—
"Are you okay?" Enid asks as she approaches you, and you let out a heavy sigh. She looks at you sympathetically, knowing that something must be wrong.
Despite wanting to lie, it's already obvious you're not. "I'm not," you replied, feeling a little awkward.
She pauses for a second, clearly debating whether or not to continue pressing the matter. In the end, she decides to drop it. "I know something that will put you in a better mood," she says with a small smile on her face.
"Oh, really? What is it?" you ask as you walk alongside her away from the infirmary.
"Yoko...refused to go out with me on a movie date," she admits, fidgeting with her hands. "I wanted to ask you out instead."
You pause mid-stride and cross your arms, a playful smirk forming on your face. "So, I'm your second choice, then?" you teased her, trying to lighten the mood.
"No! Not at all," Enid says immediately, and then she groans, realizing the impression the earlier statements may have given off. "I meant to ask you first, but Yoko asked who the ticket was for, and I lied and said it was for her, and she refused, which actually made me... happy that.. she refused," she explains, her tone turning sheepish.
You can't help but chuckle at her awkwardness, even as your own feelings of sadness and frustration creep up on you. "Well, in that case, I'll meet you outside the school."
Enid squeals with delight at your proposal and gives you a tight hug, which catches you off guard. "Really? I-" she starts, but before she can continue, she quickly removes her arms from around you and takes a step back, her mind racing as she tries to not make the situation even more awkward than it already is.
She realizes what she did, and her already red face turns even scarlet as she says, "I'm sorry... I'll meet you there. Bye!" With that, she waves you off and hurries away, leaving you to process what just happened while trying not to smile.
—
You waited outside the Nevermore School grounds, patiently scanning the horizon for any signs of movement. As the silence grew heavier, a faint sound of footsteps echoed towards you from beyond the gate.
"Y/N!" Enid exclaimed as she eagerly rushed to your side, her steps growing slightly unsteady. "Oh no, sorry, I'm a little bit... uh, it took me forever to find something to wear." Her voice trailed off, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.
"It's totally fine," you reassure. "You look gorgeous, as always."
You failed to notice how her cheeks became even redder. "Thank you! You're too kind."
You turned to resume your walk, and Enid easily fell into stride beside you. "So, where should we head to watch a movie? Last I checked, Jericho doesn't have a cinema.." you asked, glancing down at her.
"Don't worry, it's not a problem. We can head out to Burlington, it'll be fun!"
You frowned, a feeling of uneasiness rising inside you. "Out of town..?" you repeated, eyeing her warily. "Is that even allowed? It's dangerous out there."
"No one's gonna know, we'll be fine. Trust me!" Enid snorted, tossing her head back with a carefree chuckle.
"C'mon! We're going to have an adventure!" she added, taking your hand and dragging you along with her.
—
"Popcorn?" you ask her with a subtle smile as you stand in line at the counter. Enid takes a minute to think about her order, furrowing her brow. "Ummm..." she starts, and you think she's going to take forever to decide. "Can we get the cheese flavor?" You nod and order two large bags of popcorn.
You made your way to the theater entrance, showing your tickets to the attendant. Enid grabbed your arm and pulled you inside, pointing to the time on the board. "Hurry, we don't want to miss the start!" She laughs, not realizing she's causing you to drop a few pieces of popcorn on the floor.
You followed her, noting how she'd already eaten half of her popcorn, even though the movie hadn't even started yet.
Inside the theater, the darkness and coldness are a sharp contrast to the lively atmosphere. The only light is coming from the big screen up front and the theater is filled with people chatting and eating their snacks.
Enid spots your seats and eagerly guides you towards them, still chowing down on her popcorn. "This is one of my favorites!" she remarked, popping a piece into her mouth.
"I'm glad you like it," you said with a smile, taking a bite of yours. "But aren't you worried about getting your hands all greasy before the movie starts?"
She shrugged. "That's part of the fun! Nothing beats greasy popcorn and a good movie. And I can't wait to see what we're in for tonight." You noticed how she's already finished her popcorn and is now starting to munch on yours.
You chuckle and pull it away from the eager Enid, but not before letting her have another piece.
As the movie starts, you become transfixed by it, completely forgetting about Enid sitting on her side. However, as she laughs at the jokes with you and you catch her looking at you multiple times, you start to wonder what's up with her.
The movie reaches its romantic climax. You turn towards Enid, ready to say something witty, when you catch her staring at you again. Her eyes are shining, illuminated by the glow of the cinema lights.
You notice her gaze. She's already looking right at you, and she realizes she's been staring at you for who knows how long. Her cheeks heat up with blush, and she quickly turns around, hoping no one notices the intensity of her admiration.
But the damage is already done. She can feel her heart pounding furiously against her ribs.
"I-I think..." she stammers. "There's cheese on the side of your mouth," she said, trying to cover the redness on her face.
You placed your hand on the armrest and felt Enid's pinky finger brush against yours. It was as if there was a string attached to your finger, pulling you closer and closer to hers.
You're not sure what's happening, but you feel a warmth in your chest. You take a deep breath and gently interlace your fingers with hers, feeling the warmth of her touch.
You didn't quite understand it—this feeling that you had never felt before. But what you did know was that you were willing to let yourself fall, to let yourself be vulnerable, and to let yourself love.
—
"Wow, that was definitely an experience!" you say with a smirk as you walk out of the cinema.
"I know, right?" She nods in agreement, her eyes sparkling with laughter as she recalls the silly, romantic moments from the film you both watched. "It was kind of cheesy, but it was also..." Enid pauses for a second, searching for the right words.
"Cute," you finish for her with a smile. "Exactly," Enid says, nodding enthusiastically.
Once you reach the street, Enid stops suddenly, turning to face you. She looks into your eyes as if she’s trying to communicate something to you. You have no idea what she could possibly be thinking.
“That… was amazing." You nod in agreement, feeling grateful for the experience you just shared. “Let’s do it again sometime,” you say, your tone earnest.
Enid's cheeks turn a light shade of pink, and she looks down for a moment before meeting your gaze once again. "Yeah," she says, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips
"Let's go buy something." She points to the jewelry store across the street.
You walk inside the shop and find a plethora of colorful bracelets and other accessories.
"Wow, it’s so beautiful!” Enid exclaims, looking around in wonder. “I’ll just get something for me real quick,” she says, waving her hand dismissively as she heads off to the back of the store.
You’re left standing in the middle of the room, surrounded by a flurry of bracelets and other accessories.
After a few minutes, Enid turns to you with a frustrated expression on her face. "I can't find what's right for me," she says, looking around intently.
You take the initiative and start searching for something suitable. As you wander around, you stumble upon a pastel-colored bracelet with subtle beads. You grab it and hold it up to the light. The colors shimmer in the golden glare.
"This is more you," you say, looking Enid straight in the eyes. She moves her wrist closer, and you slip the bracelet on.
"See? It suits you!" you say, checking the bracelet on Enid’s wrist. "Yeah, it does, thank you." But that’s not all, Enid seems to have something up her sleeve as she continues,
"Oh, I also have one for you!" and hands it to you. The bracelet is the color of your favorite, and you can’t help but smile at the thought. "Wow, it’s so cute!" you say, checking out the bracelet on your wrist.
—
Enid lay down on her bed, clutching the bracelet to her chest. "It's so perfect!" she gushed, showing Wednesday her wrist.
Wednesday raises an eyebrow and looks at Enid with disgust. "Oh, great, Y/N's been filling your head with her nonsense."
"It's not nonsense!" She protests indignantly, her voice getting louder by the second. "Y/N and I went out and saw this jewelry shop, and she picked this up for me."
"and we went on to watch a movie.. and, oh, we held hands!" Enid suddenly blurted out, lying down on her bed with her bracelet in hand, like it was her lifeline.
Wednesday's typewriter stopped mid-sentence, and she turned to look at Enid, her brow furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean, 'we held hands'? What are you talking about, Enid?"
"I mean Y/N and I! Like this!" She clasped her hands together, showing Wednesday how. "It's so, so amazing, I don't know what to say!"
Wednesday stares at her blankly before turning back to her typewriter.
Her fingers hit the keys so hard that it sounded like she was bashing the machine, but still, she typed with such intensity that it seemed as though she was releasing all of her emotions onto the page.
She felt a burning sensation in her chest that she had never experienced before.
The typewriter groans beneath the force of her typing.
As Wednesday entered the gates of Nevermore Academy, she swore she would never lose herself to love like the rest of her weak-minded peers.
The mere thought of allowing her emotions to make decisions for her felt disgusting, and she promised herself she would not fall into the same trap as everyone else.
She was the only one in control of her own destiny, and she was determined to keep it that way.
But, of course, things rarely go according to plan.
Why did her heart race at the thought of you? Why did Enid's stories of your date make her blood boil with jealousy? Why did the idea of you with someone else feel like a knife to her heart?
Her friend, Enid, just couldn't stop herself from talking about her recent date with you.
Her constant chatter was like a knife being driven into Wednesday’s heart, a knife that slowly but surely started to tear it apart. Enid's words were like poison, poisoning her mind and making her feel a strange pain in her chest.
It was like she was being physically stabbed with a thousand knives, each one causing her pain that was so great that she couldn't even bear it.
This insufferable feeling threatened to tear her chest open.
She kept typing furiously on her typewriter, the buttons clacking against her fingers with each frantic stroke. She typed and typed, writing and rewriting, trying to capture the emotions that were running wild in her head.
The sound of the keys clicking away like the tapping of a reaper's scythe, the sound of death itself, drowns out Enid's endless chatter about her date with you.
She finally stood up and threw her pile of papers at the wall.
"What's wrong?" Enid asked, trying not to laugh.
"You're what's wrong," Wednesday snarled back. "You and your stupid dating story." She turned back to her typewriter, determined to put her feelings into words, even if it killed her.
How could she, Wednesday Addams, feel such a pathetic emotion? It was a mystery to her, one she feared she would never solve.

You are a cupid, a magical being who has the power to make anyone fall in love.
You enjoy watching people discover their soulmates, and you take pride in your ability to match up individuals just right. You have had great success in bringing love to the students of Nevermore Academy.
However, you have a secret that must be kept hidden. If anyone were to find out that you were the cupid behind all the love at Nevermore, you would be overwhelmed with requests for your services.
To prevent this, you have taken great care to hide your wings and your bow, which is the source of your power. Only your principal knows your true identity, and she have sworn to protect it at all costs.
You've helped so many students find love, but never did you imagine that you'd catch yourself falling for Wednesday Addams.
You can't believe that you, a Cupid, a being whose sole purpose is to help others find love, are falling in love with a mortal. And yet, here you are, your heart racing with every thought of Wednesday.
You find yourself drawn to her in a way you've never felt before. And you're torn between your duty as a Cupid and your feelings for Wednesday.
Will she notice your growing attraction towards her, or will you keep it to yourself, afraid of getting hurt?
—
As a cupid, you've seen it all when it comes to human emotion. You've been the bearer of love, the harbinger of romance, and the facilitator of the most beautiful connections.
Yet, despite your knowledge of the human heart, your understanding of love, and your role in bringing people together, you find yourself drawn to a mortal girl in a manner that is so strange to you.
Her presence, the sound of her voice, and the way she carries herself, they all have a profound effect on you. You're not sure what this feeling is or what to call it, but you can't help yourself; you're falling for her.
Despite her being a mortal, with a finite life and a heart that beats with the same intensity as any other human being's, she has captured your attention in a way that no other mortal has ever done before. Her hair, her back, her eyes, her demeanor, it all sets her apart from the crowd.
As you made your way through the sea of students, your eyes were fixed on Wednesday, who was standing in the quad with her trademark pigtails, a sight that you had seen a thousand times. But now, it means so much more to you.
As you watch her every move, her every gesture, and her every breath, your heart races faster and faster with each passing moment.
Your growing feelings for Wednesday were overwhelming, and you hated it. You hated how it made you feel like a lovesick fool, but you couldn't help yourself.
When the principal made her announcement, you tried to pay attention, but the only thing on your mind was Wednesday. Even though you were surrounded by people, you felt alone, consumed by your own feelings.
But when you finally managed to catch Wednesday's eye, your heart skipped a beat.
She looked at you, gave you a nod, and that was enough to make you smile.
It was just a small interaction, but it meant so much to you.
Would it mean as much to Wednesday as it did to you? Would she think of it as just another moment, or would it stick with her like it had with you? The uncertainty of it all made it hard to focus on anything else.
But you can't help but wonder if this is what love feels like for a mortal, if this is how they experience this powerful emotion, or if you are just being foolish and irrational.
The sensation is so strange, so alien, so new, that you can't help but loathe it. How could you possibly feel this way about a mortal? A being who will eventually die and be gone forever, while you'll remain the same, immortal, and never-changing? It doesn't make sense, it's not right, it's not natural.
A cupid shouldn't feel this way, and yet, you can't deny the powerful pull that Wednesday has over you.
But as soon as you mustered the courage to approach her, someone stopped you. A girl sat across from you, pouring her heart out about her love problems.
You tried to concentrate on what she was saying, but the only thing on your mind was Wednesday.
You couldn't help but glance in her direction, hoping for another nod, another small interaction that meant the world to you.
"Are you listening?" She broke you out of your daze, and you realized that you had totally zoned out. Embarrassed, you quickly gave her some love advice and headed back to your dorm, still caught up in your own feelings for Wednesday.
—
You toss and turn in your bed, your face buried in a soft pillow, unwilling to sleep despite your exhaustion.
No matter how hard you try, the constant barrage of thoughts flooding into your mind drown out the peaceful quiet of the night.
"Stop thinking about her," you mutter to yourself over and over, hoping the words will have the power to quiet your racing thoughts.
But your mind stubbornly clings to the memory of her, replaying your last interaction in excruciating detail. You groan in frustration, wishing you could simply turn off the never-ending movie that is your mind.
Finally, you close your eyes and surrender to the black silence of sleep. Your eyelids feel heavy, and despite your best efforts to resist, you slowly drift off into a world of dreams, hoping that in your slumber, you'll be free from the torturous thoughts that dominate your waking hours.
—
As you enter the botanical classroom, the calming atmosphere of the greenhouse immediately washes over you. It's your favorite class, not just because you love plants but also because the greenhouse provides a peaceful refuge from the hustle and bustle of school.
You make your way to an empty desk and sit down, taking a deep breath and enjoying the serenity of the greenhouse room.
You're lost in your thoughts, and you hear footsteps approaching. You look up to find Wednesday making her way towards you.
Your heart beats faster with each step she takes; you can feel the tension in the air.
You look up from your notebook and into Wednesday's eyes, and your breath catches in your throat at the sheer beauty of them.
They're dark, with a depth that seems boundless, and the light filtering in from the window casts a warm glow over them, making them sparkle like gems.
When Wednesday asks if she can sit beside you, your voice barely manages to croak out a response before you manage to gather your wits and say, "Yeah, sure." Then she takes her seat and starts getting her books out.
Your heart is pounding so hard that you're worried everyone else can hear it, but they're all too busy taking notes or checking their phones to notice anything unusual.
As you twirl your pen, you struggle to focus on the lesson. Every time she brushes her pen against yours or her leg accidentally touches yours, you feel like you're about to melt into a puddle of nerves and butterflies.
Suddenly, Ms. Thornhill makes an announcement that seems to shake you out of your daydream-like trance.
"For our next project, you will be partnering with your seatmate," she says, and you can hear the groans from other students who didn't particularly like the person sitting beside them.
When the class ends and Wednesday stands up to leave, you feel an emptiness wash over you, and the weight of your feelings hits you like a ton of bricks.
She suggested that you both meet at the library to discuss the project.
The realization that you'll be working with her on your project is both daunting and uplifting, and you know that you'll have to steel yourself for the emotional rollercoaster that lies ahead.
—
As you make your way past the never-ending rows of books, your heart beats faster than ever as you spot Wednesday curled up on a nearby table, sound asleep.
You take a moment to appreciate the peacefulness of her appearance.
You can’t help but admire her cuteness as she sleeps, with her mouth slightly agape as she breathes quietly.
Suddenly, you gently shake Wednesday's shoulder, noticing her eyes cracking open slowly. "Should we start?" you ask, feeling the anticipation creeping up on your skin.
She nods, sitting up straight in her chair, and clears her throat. "Of course," she answers, still sounding a little groggy from sleep.
She looks you up and down before glancing at the paper in front of you. "What have you got so far?" she inquires.
And with that, the work commences. The days slip by, and you find yourself getting closer and closer to Wednesday. The hours and nights spent together, studying, collaborating, and sharing stories, create a bond that's unshakable.
Your friendship isn't just limited to the project anymore; it consists of movie nights, book recommendations, and endless conversations about life's mysteries.
You even become close with her roommate, Enid, and spend your free time hanging out together.
Eventually, your feelings for Wednesday start to intensify, and you can’t help but want to spend all your time with her.
—
As the Nevermore ball draws closer, you've been contemplating the idea of confessing your feelings to Wednesday. You've weighed the risks and benefits of such an action and ultimately decided that taking a chance is better than living with the "what-ifs" of never expressing your true feelings.
As a self-proclaimed cupid and someone who prides themselves on being fearless, you refuse to let fear hold you back from pursuing happiness.
You spend your days wandering the Nevermore halls, hoping to catch a glimpse of Wednesday. But one day, as you least expect it, Wednesday approaches.
You feel your heart flutter with anticipation as she calls out your name. You can't help but grin from ear to ear, hoping that this interaction will lead to her inviting you to the ball as her dance partner.
But your excitement quickly fades as Wednesday begins to speak. Instead of asking you to be her date, she asks for your help with another guy, Tyler.
Why was Wednesday interested in a normie like Tyler when she could have someone like you?
And why was she asking you for love advice when you wanted so desperately to confess your feelings to her?
—
The smell of freshly brewed coffee filled your nostrils as you sat at a table inside the cozy coffee shop, Weathervane.
Wednesday asked you to help her ask Tyler out, and you knew you should have said no. But how could you say no to those dark, piercing eyes, those perfect lips, and that beautiful, dark hair? She was everything you had ever wanted, and yet, at the same time, she was everything you didn't.
Just as you were beginning to lose hope, the bell above the door chimed, signaling that a customer had entered.
You tried to keep a brave face as Wednesday sat down across from you, her hands clutching her drink. You had been through this before; you knew how difficult it could be to help Wednesday navigate her feelings, especially when those feelings were for someone other than you.
You wanted to be the one to make her smile, make her laugh, and make her feel loved and valued. But that was just the problem—you cared too much. And now you were stuck playing matchmaker for your own heartbreak.
"Thank you so much for helping me with this," she said, reaching out to take the cup of coffee you had prepared for her.
"Of course," you replied, attempting to hide your true emotions. While helping Wednesday was always a pleasure for you, the thought of her possibly being with someone else caused you to feel a strange mixture of hurt and jealousy.
You handed Wednesday her favorite drink, remembering everything about her preferences. Wednesday wasn't one to show much emotion, and yet you always paid close attention to her, knowing that was your way of showing her just how much you cared. While she was normally reserved and held back, the one exception appeared to be Tyler, and that just made things even more difficult for you to handle.
"Where's Tyler?" you asked as you quickly scanned the room, desperately hoping that you wouldn't find him.
Wednesday's eyes moved to the counter, where Tyler stood. "He's there," she said. An awkward silence followed before Wednesday spoke again. "I don't know how to..." she trailed off, sounding nervous.
You just nodded in understanding, realizing that Wednesday was inexperienced with expressing her emotions. You felt bad for her. You knew she was new to this, to having feelings, and to experiencing things that most people took for granted. To her, Tyler was the exception. He was the only one who could break through her normally closed-off exterior and make her feel something.
"Why don't you ask him to go to the Rave'n with you?" you suggested, feeling a pang of hurt as you said the words. If only she knew how difficult this was for you.
Wednesday remained silent, clearly struggling with what to do. You felt your heart sink, knowing that this moment was slipping through her fingers. You couldn't bear seeing her struggle any longer, so you decided to make the first move. You called Tyler over, trying to be casual and polite.
"Excuse me," you said, trying to get his attention. "My friend here has something she wants to ask you." Wednesday looks up at you with pleading eyes, but she doesn’t move. It’s clear that she’s not ready to make a move.
Tyler looked up, slightly annoyed at the interruption, but his eyes widened when he saw Wednesday sitting there, her eyes fixed on him.
"Oh, hey Wednesday," he said, a smile spreading across his face. "What's up?"
Wednesday stayed seated, unable to meet his eyes. "I...um," she mumbled, trying to find the right words.
You thought maybe, just maybe, she would change her mind, and you would find yourselves spending time together, watching her dance and laugh and enjoy herself.
You stood up, ready to leave, hoping that Wednesday would change her mind, but she remained in place.
It wasn't until you had walked out the door that Wednesday finally spoke up, asking Tyler if he wanted to go to the Rave'n with her.
The sound of her voice, the slight waver in her tone as she asked the question, was like a dagger to your heart, and you walked away feeling completely broken.
You wanted to run back inside and tell Wednesday how you feel, how you've felt for so long. You knew she didn't feel the same way, but you couldn't help but cling to that tiny glimmer of hope.
You walk blindly, your thoughts racing, trying to make sense of the emotions you're feeling. You feel angry, sad, and confused all at once. You're mad at yourself for caring so much, for loving someone who doesn't love you back. You're mad at Wednesday for not realizing what she's missing out on by not being with you.
But more than anything, you're hurt. You feel like your heart is shattered into a million pieces, and you don't know how to pick up the pieces and put them back together.
You feel like you're drowning in a sea of emotions, with no end in sight.
You keep walking, not sure where you're going, but knowing you need to get away from the cafe, from Wednesday, from Tyler. You need time to process everything that's happened, to mourn the loss of what could have been. And you need to figure out how you're going to get through this, how you're going to pick up the pieces and move on.
As the minutes turned into hours, you walked without purpose, just trying to put one foot in front of the other. You didn't know where you were going; all you knew was that you had to keep moving forward, no matter how painful it was.
Because to stop and think about what might have been, would be worse than the pain you are feeling now.
So you kept walking, hoping beyond hope that one day, Wednesday would see you for who you truly were, a person who loved her with every fiber of her being, a person who would do anything just to see her smile.
As you walked through the streets, trying to distract yourself from the heartbreak and pain you were feeling, a thought occurred to you: you were a cupid, a being who could make people fall in love by shooting them with your magic bow and arrow.
Why not just shoot yourself and Wednesday with the arrow and force her to love you?
You paused, considering the idea. It was tempting, but it didn't feel right. You wanted Wednesday to love you for who you are, not just because you had magically induced her to do so.
Plus, what kind of relationship would it be if it was based on forced love? How could you ever trust that she truly cared for you?
You sighed and continued walking, putting the idea of shooting yourself and Wednesday with the arrow out of your mind. It wasn't the solution to your problem, no matter how much it hurt.
You would just have to continue being there for Wednesday as a friend and hope that one day, she would realise on her own that you were the one for her.
—
As the day of the ball arrives, you arrive early, eager to see Wednesday walk through the doors.
When she arrives, she's absolutely stunning, her pigtails bouncing in rhythm with her steps.
But your heart sinks as you see her dancing with someone else, Tyler. You can't help but feel a pang of jealousy and sadness, knowing that she doesn't feel the same way about you as you do about her.
The night drags on, and with each passing moment, you feel more and more dread as you watch Tyler and Wednesday dance together, feeling like an outsider looking in. The pain is almost too much to bear, and you excuse yourself from the room, needing a moment to yourself to process everything.
Stepping outside, you take a deep breath, trying to steady your nerves.
As you walked, you bumped into someone and instantly mumbled an apology. You didn't even notice who you bumped into; you were too lost in your thoughts.
You felt like the biggest fool in the world for getting your heart broken like this.
Maybe it was stupid to fall for someone like Wednesday in the first place. Maybe she was just too far out of your league for you to ever have a chance with her.
You feel the tears well up in your eyes, knowing that you're not Wednesday's love interest.
You're a cupid, a helper, a love advisor - someone who should be used to this sort of thing. But when it comes to your own heart, it feels like it's breaking in two.
You don't know what to do, where to turn, or how to let go. You just know that watching her with someone else is tearing you apart.
A/N: I'm thinking about writing a part 2 for this with Enid and the reader getting together 🏃🏃
