unfortunately i dont think its queerbaiting if the creator is just so terminally heterosexual that they never remotely considered the same gender relationship their show is centered around could be read as romantic. it is deeply painful however.

By definition you can't accidentally queerbait. Queerbaiting is specifically using a same sex pair from the show to market the show to queer audiences with no intention of ever following through on a romantic relationship.
There is officially licensed Destiel merch signed off on by Kripke. Teen Wolf had a commercial with the actors for Derek and Stiles draped over each other talking about being "on a ship." Both shows actively used scenes between them as marketing while actively mocking fans for wanting them together. Sherlock has multiple characters refer to Johnlock as a couple, including characters we're supposed to believe are never wrong about human behavior and pushed those scenes in marketing. Then they acted insulted when fans saw them as a couple.
That's queerbaiting.
Done on accident it would just be queer subtext. Done because they had no other choice due to censorship is queer coding.
The specific meaning of the word is really starting to get lost and it's a pretty important one to keep accurate. It describes a very specific phenomenon that was done repeatedly and maliciously for decades and is meant to examine that specifically.
Doing it on accident sucks, but it isn't a tactic of capitalism intentionally intended to suppress queer representation while making money from queer fans.

my hottest hc which is probably a lukewarm take is that I think maekar is exactly like myriah, which is why he is daeron’s favorite child (though aerys is a close second because they have so much in common and talk a lot); rhaegel spends the most time with myriah so he is her favorite. baelor has replaced his personality with the crown’s goals so he is definitely both their easiest and most successful child but is none of their favorites. he does not care about this and is coincidentally a consummate liar.

i really do hate that show canon has attributed TPTWP & ASOIAF prophecy to daemon and rhaenyra now and not it being that, in the books, didn’t originate from daeron (the drunken) & egg— but we first hear about it with them. egg is daenerys’s great grandfather and her narrative mirror in a lot of ways, he’s the closest to her in terms of personality and beliefs despite what HOTD is pushing you to believe. the image of daenerys being bald is so important BECAUSE daeron believes its his little brother when he sees it. egg will eventually believe it is him, too. and he will become obsessed with the prophecy and die because of it.
but it’s daenerys, his great granddaughter, a girl just like him who rose up from the shadows of her abusive brother (viserys/aerion) and took charge of her own life just like he did. a girl who has his same heart for the smallfolk. a girl who has his same belief in magic. a girl who succeeded where he failed.
like, that means so so much more to me for it to be exclusive to egg because she is not only his direct descendant but his mirror in so many ways. with daemon, he’s not only so far removed from daenerys, look around him, he doesn’t have any bald people in his life 😭 like the prophecy isn’t believably gonna be significant to him at all like it was to daeron because he genuinely thought that was his little brother! and idk if any of this made sense but it’s just a fucking stupid writing decision, it steals so much agency from rhaenyra anyway.
Not to mention when the prophecy does get brought up in akotsk (like it is in the book) its going to look forced and repetitive to show-only fans like no!!!! That is where its supposed to be!!!! F&B never brings up TPTWP at least not during the dance😩

Dare I say that while certainly not a natural leader, Dunk is 100% a natural connector of people??? Like. He is just naturally good at empathising with others and at bringing them all together behind a single cause. He's the glue that holds a group together, the heart and soul of just about anything he ends up in.
