Don’t mind me I’m just thinking about how it’s implied Jack Delroy didn’t even have a soul to give away when he made the contract with the demon because he already lost it to his audience and how it damned him from the start because he needs an audience to stay relevant and famous or else the powerful executives will drop him and how both parts of the entertainment world, the audience and the powers that be, are exploiting the people caught in the middle for their own gain and how Jack is both a victim in the game and the one who causes his own and everyone else’s suffering so he can be famous and how he was begging the audience to turn off their televisions but it was never going to work because the audience is the one that’s going to make him famous and if he loses his audience he’s not going to be famous anymore because isn’t that what he wanted in the first place?
