1: Family resemblance, he looks like here dad (satan)

2: Power Levels, Alastor simply manifested in hell with unprecedented abilities immediately following his death.

3: The Shadows, both Alastor and Satan posses semi-independent shadow being that look like them, just more animalistic in nature

3.5: not only does Alastor have a living shadow but he hides it around Charlie when they meet and when it does show up he immediately dispells it, even though he and it seem to get along just fine.

4: He’s uncharacteristically harmless, Charlie slams the door in his face the second they meet and Alastor remains perfectly calm and docile even though he clearly has no regard for the power structure of hell and has killed over much less.  Yet he’s perfectly respectful towards Charlie.

I was watching a youtube video on the industrial revolution for school and the host waved around a picture of a train from 1800 and a model TARDIS shouting that they were both most likely powered by steam engines and at first I was indignant because the TARDIS is supposed to be powered by the Eye of Harmony but then I realized that the star “suspended in a perpetual state of decay” might just be a really big fire used to heat water the create power and now that idea will stick in my mind forever.
